Hotel Alfonso XIII, Seville

From the entrance, checking in experience, decor, room and pool we loved it all. Even the lift is special! Particularly enjoyed the pool

The room was very dirty! Hair was all over the bathroom. However they cleaned it well when we asked them to do so.

This hotel was one of the highlights of ourrr trip!!! Beyond amazing and luxurious. I felt like a princess walking through it. The welcoming was amazing, the service was beyond great and the parking was excellent as it was private.

The hotel is in an excellent location for visiting Seville. It is a stunning hotel, the most luxurious interior. The breakfast/dining room area is beautiful as are the areas around it, reception, corridors, landings and lifts. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The staff work very hard. The staff who served us by the pool and those who served us at breakfast were fantastic and very obliging at all times. The staff who serviced the rooms were excellent as were those who took luggage etc t

The architecture was exceptional as was the breakfast! Temperature of the pool was just right and the staff were all lovely and helpful.

The children, this hotel would really benefit from being an adults only venue. The menu was limited on the terrace and needed a daily special. Pool food was fairly expensive.

- there are a lot of Americans with no social etiquette (wearing caps and t-shirt in restaurants; talking loud,..) should be more strict on how to behave in such kind of hotels - would be nice to provide complimentary water at the swimming pool - would be nice to have a cosy hôtel bar inside the property

I was there for a wedding and really enjoyed my time. The venue is outstanding, breath taking and special. Tours of the ground are available which I didn't have a chance to sign up for as I was only there for one night. The room was amazing and clean as advertised.

There was an odd situation with the iron and ironing board. Multiple staff insisted that there was one present in my room but I checked a few times and there wasn't one. Wasted a lot of time back and forth so was late for the wedding. They did finally deliver the iron to my room but it burned my dress. I looked closely at the iron and seems like there was previous burns on it too. The ironing board itself was tiny with a sticky cover that made it a nightmare to iron delicates. A bit confusing and shocking for a 5 star hotel. Was not advised about the complimentary laundering/dry cleaning service. The AC ran well at night but during the day, the fan wasn't strong enough for some reason. The pool is stressful and busy. I was also not advised that there is water available at the front desk for refillable bottles when I had asked where I could buy more water. Staff was friendly but don't go out of there way as they would at other 5 star hotels to advise you on facilities and offerings.

Design of the hotel, the vendor at the entrance greeted us with a floral ring that smelled amazing- this was a very nice touch. Also a gentleman saw us watching the eurocup in the Bar Americano and he moved us to a beautiful area to watch the game- set us up with snacks and drinks

The lunch service in the lobby could be better- the food was amazing but we waited quite a bit to order. The AC in the room was a bit inconsistent

Housekeeping variable, stayed there 3 nights and over that period occasionally water wasn’t replenished, forgot the towels, didn’t replace toilet roll etc

The History and standard of the property was amazing, the architecture was beautiful. The tour was a wonderful touch and provided a great insight, enormous thanks to Maria Brava, hope I remembered her name correctly. The food, service and attention to detail,by all staff encountered was 1st class.

Slightly noisy AC

Exceptional staff in terms of warmth and information at check in - a beautiful French girl who was leaving the next day and a charming Italian bar waiter who spoke 4 languages. The hotel itself is an enchanting experience offering antiquity and modern day luxury

Breakfast was a little chaotic on day 2. The buffet dishes were very empty at 10am, staff difficult to get hold off to order tea or clear dirty plates.

A true Grand Hotel with all the services and grandeur befitting this.

Service at meals was inexcusably slow.

The staff, the food and the hotel were all magnificent. The staff could not do enough to make sure you had everything that you needed, attentive and responsive, but not over bearing. The pool area was clean and the pool was just right, not overcrowded and good service around the pool.

Access to the outside bar is over complicated and the pool is hidden, if you don’t know it’s there already you’d miss it

No roof top bar. Staff very good but I expected better spoken English, could not always understand our requests. Poor coffee/ tea making facilities and day after day took dirty cups away but didn’t replace.

First class from the moment my eyes lay on the outside and the gracious staff inside. We were upgraded and the room was splendid and the best I ever stayed in.

I like the initial location greeting but the staff in the restaurant and bar were very slow and we were not told room service breakfast was not included. Very disappointed by having to move rooms with VIP Mary Brennan too.

For a five star hotel I would say The Alfonso needs more staff to be able to deliver a better level of service.

There was no signs to direct you to the entrance if you are arriving by car. Therе is a traffic sign "Do not Enter" and pedestrian zone. I would strongly recommend to put instructions on the hotel's website on how to reach the entrance by car.

It was refurbished so shower was really small and not comfy and staff wasn’t a palace’s level…

The atmosphere, the service, the architect, everything was 5* as you would expect.

Location and facilities, a grand and well renowned hotel in Seville. Wonderful building with a central courtyard, terrace, and gardens. Room was spacious.

Our room did get some noise because there was a service area underneath and it did look out over the car park. Wasn’t the cheapest room, so lost a mark on that. Also some damage to the bath and done bathroom fittings meant could not give a 10

Great location, beautiful property and lovely room. We only had breakfast which was good but the restaurant around the courtyard was stunning and menu looked great.

Beautiful old hotel, full of stylish historic interiors. Staff are friendly and helpful. Excellent location with valet parking..which is a plus in Seville! Easy walking distance to the Cathedral and the centre.

Excellent location for the wonderful City of Seville. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous and the room was very comfortable. We hired a car and had to pay 30 Euros per day for parking in the hotel, which was a waste as we did not use it for 5 days!!! Maybe a taxi to the hotel would have been more sensible.

Hotel was very good and you pay a high price for it. Would always be better if you can access a deal.
