room was very clean and had a nice view of the garden. located close to restaurants and cafes. has a sprawling garden wonderful for morning walk. has even piped music from speakers along the walk.

the crowds in the weekend. very eventful during weekends, weddings, exhibitions, etc. lots of people in the lobby. elevators were jammed. we arrived late and all the restaurants were full. need to make reservation 1 month in advance? we should have been warned. ate at the bar, live music was good, but food was expensive!

We stayed 4 nights here. Best five star hotel we have ever experienced out of many hotels around the world that we stayed at. Extremely attentive and friendly staff, immaculate room+amenities and the breakfast is incredible. The room service meals were better than some restaurants we have visited, on one lazy night when we just wanted to stay in. The bed is also so comfy I think I slept better than I do at home! It’s a very short walk (less than 5 minutes) down to the nearest Metro so it was easy to get around. They also have shuttle buses on offer which we never had to use. Overall it’s one of those rare places that’s inspiring and makes you feel quite humbled to be surrounded by such an excellent team of hardworking people who are so good at what they do.

Outstanding hotel, great bar on ground floor with live music and fantastic cocktails. Pool, saunas and hot tubs were really good. Great breakfast too. But the staff made the hotel, excellent staff throughout the hotel, extremely helpful and attentive, some of the best staff at any hotel I’ve stayed in!

Shilla is always at top level! Excellent service since the check-in. A bit expensive but this is what luxury brings you. Huge attention to the details in the rooms, even from the cleaners. Congrats!

Lunch buffet price is honestly insane. Too expensive (but it was full indeed so…).

Service was over the top hospitable. Spa facilities were similar to japanese onsen experience. Hotel room overlooked the entire city. Famous restaurants and pastries within the hotel.

Shuttle buses required to leave / enter the hotel.

Love the whole vibe of the place. It wasn't in a busy area first and foremost and it was central enough to get to the places we needed to. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Oh and breakfast was really good and fresh.

The bathtubs were quite small but I'm just knit picking.

You definitely don’t get value of your money. It was expensive qhen you think about they didn’t even include breakfast. Everything was extra this was the most annoying part.

The location on the hill in Seoul was good. Staff were generally pleasant especially on the front desk. The gym was ok

Room size was quite small considering the price. The Japanese restaurant was very expensive The buffet restaurant on ground floor was difficult to obtain a booking Had to keep asking for more bath towels as housekeeping kept taking extra away even though there were two people in the room

Excellent service with a lot of attention to details, quite unusual! The breakfast buffet was excellent with a variety of different choices, catering for many different tastes across the world! The bar area (the so-called library) is also very nice and was great for an informal dinner as I was on my own on a business trip.

The spa is being renovated. While some treatments are available in the sauna and they were very forthcoming, it's not the same, so I ended up not using any spa treatments. I did not see any notice regarding this when I booked my stay at the hotel (having wanted to go to the spa).

We really enjoyed staying at Shilla. Shilla was truly one of the best hotels we have stayed. The food was amazing and the staff members at the executive lounge were particularly wonderful. Especially Emma Lee, Elena Ha and Nana Hong who were very attentive and detailed and made us feel very comfortable, like we were at home.

The only thing (suggestion we have) is for the sauna area. As many foreigners may not be familiar with the etiquette of going to a sauna, we think it could be helpful to have the proper process clearly explained before use. We observed some people entering the hot bath without showering first and felt this lowered the sanitation of the baths.

The staff were all super friendly and accommodated every special request we had. The rooms were beautiful, with big spacious, clean bathrooms and some of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The bathroom was equipped with all kinds of toiletries, and they had a variety of chargers for all our electronic devices in every room. The view from our rooms on Seoul Namsan Tower were a neat bonus point.

As the hotel is located up a hill, it was a bit of a hassle sometimes to get up there. Despite the shuttle bus and taxis available for guests' comfort, our group agreed that the location was a bit inconvenient.

The breakfast and happy hour food were delicious, and the staff responded quickly to guests' needs, making everything run smoothly. Special thanks to Emma Lee and Summer Yu - their attention to detail, their professional service and friendliness made us feel at home. In addition, Eunyoung Kim (fitness center) was Eunyoung Kim was genuinely kind and helpful!

Even if the hotel has a laundry service that requires payment, it would be nice if there was a washing machine that guests staying for a long time could use.

The hotel is beautiful - modern design and gardens surrounding the hotel. It is a very nice experience from check-in to check-out. We did not eat at the hotel but I heard from others that the restaurants were very good.

The pool was a little overcrowded - may have been the hot weather. The pool size is quite small and if you go in the middle of the day, you might struggle to get a bed. The location is a little difficult if you want to walk everywhere. But they will help you with taxis.

Nothing. There was one incident where one of the ladies at the Chinese restaurant refused to let me in but someone called her and she relented. I did not understand why I had to wait a full hour when there were empty tables but they addressed it.

If you are looking for a very comfortable place in Seoul, this is the right place. I have been in Seoul twice, and I prefer this place, especially the Mountain View and the restaurant. The breakfast was delicious

It was in beautiful surroundings, with helpful staff. Close to the metro with very short commute to all places in Seoul

The hotel is great, a little formal, yet equipped with all the things I like. Fitness centre, good bar, good restaurant, breakfast is varied and the location is very good for exploring the city from there.

I was surprised that I wanted to go to breakfast as a hotel guest, only to be told by the person at the table that I would have to wait. Which I don't actually find unpleasant, but I can see lots of empty tables right in front of me. That is not understandable for me. It was only when another manager saw that I had been turned away that he apologised and assigned me a table directly, explaining that there are a lot of reservations on Sundays and they are reluctant to allocate tables. So this time 9 out of 10.

You need to check carefully what is included if you book the hotel for three people.

Spacious room, comfortable bed, well-equipped gym, nice amenities, internal shuttle bus operates to get you to the subway station, the staff speak English.

The shuttle bus only operates until 10pm, so after this time, you need to walk up the hill to get to the hotel. Also, the airport shuttle does not come up to the hotel, so you will need to make your way down to the airport bustop and wait there.
