The staff packed me a breakfast for a very early flight

Exceptional. It blew every expectation we had out of the water (and our expectations were already high). We could not recommend Hotel Locarno highly enough. The hotel itself was of the highest standard, the interior design and ambiance was perfection. The location was fantastic, central to almost all of Romes historical attractions which made it easy to navigate around the city.

Staff were excellent, extremely professional and helpful. They are what makes this hotel special. It is spotlessly clean and hugely efficient! Concierge’s are all very knowledgeable and pointed us in the right direction.

The roof terrace isn’t open Sunday and Monday (the two nights of our stay and was open do the reasons we’d been recommended the hotel. If it says it is shut on the website/ booking info, the. I missed it. The food is excellent by the way and the breakfast starts the day off well.

i have stayed here before covid and i loved the hospitality, the location , the history of the building, the serenity.

The bathroom lights were too low for makeup. The drawers were a bit tricky.

Old world glamour and service. One-off gem. Forget the chain hotels. Forget the big names. This feels like a secret only those clever enough to be in-the-know know about and can stay at. It exudes luxury and class from every corner. Nothing “noveau riche” about this property!

I noticed when they book 3rd party services like tours and cars, they add a premium, so their guests are paying above market rates. Disappointing. I’d suggest guests book these things direct with the provider of the services.

The hotel is classy and charming without losing the sophistication. The location is perfect and walkable to all major Rome attractions as well as shopping and dining. The staff is phenomenal and the food out of this world!!

Loved the hotel. Beautiful and great location.

Some of the staff were very pompous and condescending. Very disappointing for such a lovely hotel. Also a very lush green and absolutely beautiful terrace that the guests are not allowed to use unless you pay more or have an event. Guests are regulated to a pleasant but stark with no charm terrace.

The atmosphere od the room and the common areas was great. The room was perfect. And the brekfast great. The best cappuccino we had in Rome was in our hotel.

Only the noise we had due to construction works in the building next to us, but this was not a fault of the hotel.

Phenomenal staff, personal treatment, super clean rooms and grounds. Location is perfect and breakfast is really great. Can't go wrong with this one, worth every penny (and more)

The water pressure in the shower could be higher, but nothing too disturbing.

It is a magic place. Fantastic location, central while very quiet, with a wonderful terrace. The staff is exceptional. Attentive, kind, with lots of smiles and ideas. We really enjoyed our stay.

We absolutely loved staying here. This privately owned period hotel is full of class and great ambiance. Perfectly situated, excellent staff, gorgeous rooms, fabulous breakfast, we stayed for 7 nights and we enjoyed every second. Thank you to everyone at Locarno Hotel who made our stay so memorable.

The building is charming but in need of a bit of work. The parquetry floor in our room had loose boards that needed work. The hotel is very clean and tidy but a little tired looking

Location is excellent walkable to the Spanish steps, trevi fountain, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. If you want to visit the stadio Olympico to see Roma or Lazio tram 2 from flamino is 400 metres away. Hotel breakfast is the best we have ever had in any hotel. We have stayed 5 times and will always book here if we travel to Rome.

I will return to Hotel Locarno anytime I am fortunate enough to visit Rome. One can not ask more from a hotel - attentive front desk staff, delicious food and beverages served in beautiful surroundings, perfectly lovely accommodations, and nicely located.

Magic defines this hotel. Breakfast is wonderful, all the menu is very carefully selected, every bite is a pleasure. Location is very good, quiet street but near everything, hotel staff is very gentle and friendly, great room service, great clean service, very comfortable beds and linens. Bathroom is a dream as well as the quality of the amenities offered in it. I loved the soft lighting in the restaurant and the Christmas decor was wonderful. All the details of the room were beautiful. On our last day we didn't know where to dine and the concierge made a reservation of a restaurant near by that was amazing. Hoping to come back soon as only 3 nights is not enough for Rome and for Hotel Locarno.

We had a little issue as I arrived, once I previously asked and confirmed about 3 times in the e-mails to have separate beds in my bedroom as I was traveling with my son, but the beds were together. Also, the vintage chairs in the room were not so stable. However, as soon as I told the reception about those issues it was immediately fixed, like magic, we went out for our first walk around the neighbourhood and on the way back everything was perfect. From that point on, they were extremely helpfull with all the requests we had during our stay making us always wanting to return to it for a rest after the busy visits and walks around the city.

It's an incredible hotel in an amazing area of Rome. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The concierge was able to book me a last minute ticket to the Borghese Gallery, which was a highlight of my trip! The food and ambiance of the garden and bar transported me back in time. And the rooms are stunning, with beautiful, historic touches.
