The room was nice

They mismanaged my check in and double charged me for the room, it was irritating then they said I didn’t pre pay for the room but I did through booking. They simply didn’t handle things well

Despite notifying the staff twice, the hotel disappointed me with its unclean and disorganized room.

Liked the location, gym and the food was very good.

Does not live up to ‘The Nines’. Bathroom grout was very moldy. Over priced for value, staff is apathetic. They’re friendly with each other and miserable with customer, consistently!

Centralized location to downtown Portland.

Upgraded to higher floor which was an ADA room which had no closet space to hang clothes; instead it contained shelves. The in house restaurant (Urban Farmer) has terrible food and OP.

Fantastic hotel, but with some fundamental shortcomings regarding pricing behaviour.

I really don't accept it if you cannot rely on prices which are communicated upfront. The restaurant charges more than the listed prices. Upon checking the bill, this seems to be explained with a sentence on the bottom of the menu stating "A 3% surcharge on your check represents our dedication to provide an award-winning work environment". Wow, really? Instead of including it in the costprice, I am paying for the work environment with extra charges? This behaviour is horrible and disrespectful to customers of the restaurant. Put fixed cost of YOUR workplace in your costprice and don't BS me with adding it afterwards under the disguise of "your" dedication... It's "only" 3%, but something I never agreed to. It is just scamming customers for more money and such behaviour of hotels and restaurants must be called out. This gives such a bad taste to the stay that I will never eat here again.

Loved the vibe of the hotel. Common spaces were very nice, restaurant/bar did a fantastic job although the seating in the steak house seemed more like a Mariott courtyard happy hour venue than what one would expect in a steak house.

I didn't love the size of the room or the bed which appeared lumpy and a bit worse for wear. The mattress seemed at the end of it's life. In the bathroom, the shower door was very cloudy and needed a solid cleaning or replacement if it was uncleanable.

Beautiful and modern decor. Friendly and attentive staff. Great restaurants that accommodated us and addressed food allergies and limitations.

Beautiful facility - common areas, rooms, etc all top notch. Loved the library where we played pool.

The room service arrived 20 mins late and not very hot and was missing the toast. Otherwise it was very tasty. The parking fee was way too expensive. We parked at another property.

area loaded with homeless people and wasted people busy doing drugs and police are doing nothing. not a fun sight.

I love staying at this hotel. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Everything is so well kept and the rooms really beautiful. And it seems every time I stay, there is always a pro-team arriving and leaving and I just love how subtle they are about it. so fantastic.

how much the hotel seem like a chain not the boutique hotel it set out to be. there is a lot of wood façade covering the beautiful marble. it used to have very modern posh vibe now it is confusing with Marriott furnishings and the original design of the Nines.

I Requested three times to have a small refrigerator in a coffee maker and it wasn’t there when we arrived my mother was night is 98

No coffee in the room and the promising rooftop bar with spectacular view was closed

1st night being married! Exceeded our expectations! Even provided us a bottle of champagne and snacks! Excellent time!

The room was gorgeous and the bed was so comfortable that it felt like I was sleeping on clouds! Every single employee we encountered was friendly and professional. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable! The young lady at the Front Desk who checked us in was wonderful and so were the Valet Attendants who helped us with our car. The entire hotel is Forbes 4 star service rated and I concur. If they owned a golf course, there's no doubt their hotel would be a 5 star hotel!

The only negative is the cost but you get what you pay for. Valet seemed a bit pricey at $58/night with no other options available.

I paid for an upgraded "deluxe room with city view" except the view was entirely of the building nextdoor. It was like a sitcom when we opened the drape and could see in the windows of the next building. It felt really disingenuous to charge extra for something like that and they room should be described better. Also our room was on the 8th floor just near the check in desk and it was a little noisy. Definitely didn't feel like a deluxe experience.

Very limited connecting rooms. Stated that I needed connecting rooms or rooms close by. Was willing to pay more but rooms given were still far apart.

No garage and valet parking very expensive at $58 per night. However garage parking not far away at half that cost for 24 hours

I thought I paid more for a city view and I looked at a building the whole time and I believe the pics were misleading. Not very happy about that

Great hotel with amazing staff. Location is in the center of Portland and it is close to everything. Will def stay there again when I go back to Portland. Great value for the money and an amazing property to stay at. Must stay!! Highly recommend!!!

The rooms are good and the food was really good! The location is great. The rooftop bar not being open was a bummer. Location is clutch. If there's a basketball game in town you will see the visiting team at the hotel.

Room not super clean. Some of the stuff in the room was moved around not by me and they tried charging me for items from the mini bar that wasn't used.
