Warwick Hotel Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia

Excellent center city location. Can purchase snacks in lobby where there is cozy seating. Coffee shop on first floor is good.

Check in is at 4pm. We had to wait about 45 minutes. Staff handled the pressure well.

Room was worn - chair in bad shape, bureau scratched with chips out of panels, carpet beat.

Excellent location

Hidden fees, snarky front desk, tired room, loose caulk around tube, etc. Not bad, but showing its age and how long since the rooms were redone.

Loved the people and wonderful valet men who shared city treasures.

Nice gentleman came to our room and fixed the AC, but NOTICEABLY WARMER in our room than in the halls. He was very accommodating and would have returned if we called, but out a lot. ROOM JUST NEVER WAS COOL ENOUGH. Coffee truck didn't make the delivery so missed morning coffee on several mornings. Not cool! Nice lady scored us a starbucks pod. Also, if 2 are staying, supply 2 coffees please, not just one!

Location

The location was great. The room & bed were comfortable. Hotel staff was nice & option for breakfast delivery from the cafe next door was great.

The ice machine on our floor was broken. The toilet seat was loose, and we requested that it be fixed while we were out for the day, but it wasn’t. We were missing hand towels, so had to request those. Overall, the rooms are a bit dated & could use a refresh.

It was a good clean hotel, doors seemed older but everything worked well.

All but one of our room keys stopped working (sounded like multiple groups had this problem)

Historic Rittenhouse Square hotel with excellent location, very accommodating staff, and spacious, quiet, and comfortable rooms (and three working elevators, so never a wait). Although the furniture doesn’t quite comport with the 1920’s architecture of the building, everything was more than adequate with comfortable bed, a desk/table, a sitting area, and a very large bathroom. Housekeeping service daily and excellent. McKinley, among other front desk staff, was super helpful and friendly, as were all doormen, including Steve, who knows how to get a taxi fast.

A few things seemed not totally up to par at first with this property, mostly addressed quickly by staff: no bath towels in bathroom when I arrived on a Saturday evening (and finally delivered by housekeeping after nearly an hour); no ice in ice machines on my floor or floor above (found on floor below); no pods provided for espresso machine in room (remedied next day, when a different machine was installed, with Starbucks Verona sachets). There also is no hot breakfast on “club floors,” as promised on Booking description of services for my room type. McKinley at front desk listened to my query about this and said, with surprise, that the club floor service had been discontinued several years ago. I requested this complaint be forwarded to general manager, which she agreed to do. This issue is a significant oversight by the hotel, Booking, or both. Something was promised with reservation but never available at property. Breakfast places aren’t abounding in this neighborhood, and the adjoining Bluestone Cafe is generally crowded with long lines and is expensive. So a lack of an available breakfast at or near the hotel is a drawback. However, the assets of this property and staff do compensate for the shortcomings. In today’s expensive hotel market, The Warwick is a very good value in the best part of Center City Philadelphia.

Loved the lobby of the hotel and the Mediterranean restaurant attached to the hotel. Although a bit pricy, the food was excellent and service outstanding. The valets were outstanding and very helpful.

The location was excellent. The room was small but comfortable. Very nice fitness center.

They cleaned our room and took some towels and could not replenish them - so the two of us had one towel between us for the last night of our stay. We were told about about a $17 location fee per night when we arrived but it came with a $10 per day gift shop credit.

Great facilities. Great location. Fantastic restaurants. Porter Steve was very helpful with information about best locations. He made it a stay to remember.

Staff at reception just looked like they didn’t want to be there. No smile and not very helpful. If it wasn’t for Steve the Porter, we wouldn’t come back.

Friendly staff, beautiful lobby. The attached restaurants are top notch.

The sleeping room corridors are a bit beat up. The bathrooms could use an update. Mine was tiny and awkward to navigate. The plumbing was sluggish.

Excellent location and great value. Friendly and efficient staff. Room was spacious and clean. I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Location and restaurants

Housekeeping Service was a little off this visit. Don’t know if they were short but did not have the full complement of towels expected for this type of facility.

The location was right in the center of the city. The room was clean and organized and the staff were friendly.

There were no usb ports in the room to charge our phones and ipads.

The staff is what made this hotel. Everyone was extremely welcoming. Everyone offered to bend over backward to help. The location was also great. The hotel was very clean even with some dated furnishings.

Our room had seen better days. The furniture was all pretty beat up. The mattress was uncomfortable with many spots where springs could be felt poking through. The HVAC in our room always made the room feel muggy. We ended up turning the air on to try to dry it out. The air never seemed to cool the room and gave off a musty smell when running. The "iPhone Docking nightstand" was a joke. Apple changed the connector to lighting in 2012... but not this alarm clock, it wasn't changing for any phone. Yes, it still had the 30-pin dock. The "city view" was also questionable.

The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Well located in Philly near restaurants and key historical places. The lobby is really nice. There is a bottle of free water. Parking in location

Staff was superlative. Very friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable. Location is also very good.

We were charged an additional half day parking because we were given incorrect info by desk. Told 4pm and garage said it was 3pm. I did not challenge because we were already late in leaving. This was the only down part of the visit. Oh- the American flag outside was in disrepair which I though was unacceptable and disrespectful - especially in Philadelphia!!

It’s feeling a bit old

Lobby was beautiful as well as the Rittenhouse Grill.

People arguing loudly at 1am outside our door and they eventually moved to their room and I could still hear them. Also we were right next the the vending machines and it sounded like someone was dragging a bag of tin cans around at 6am.
