Kimpton Hotel Monaco, Philadelphia

The bed was comfortable and I got a great night's sleep every night I was there.

The decor was stunning, but in the bedroom, it was a bit busy; lots of patterns. That said, it was impeccably decorated.

Wine happy hour, onsite restaurant, funky decor, friendly staff

Location cannot be beat for historic tourism. Beautiful property with happy, helpful staff.

We had an amazing stay at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia. The location couldn’t be better—right across from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, and within easy walking distance to so many top attractions and great restaurants. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Philadelphia. We’ll definitely be back!

We chose the Kimpton because of how central it was in the historic district and it did not disappoint! We also chose this particular chain because of how pet friendly they are. The staff were beyond loving to our dog, which made the trip that much better. Everyone from the front desk, to the porters, to the maintenance staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Truly give these people all the raises!

Only half the elevators were working when we stayed, which meant it took forever to get up and down from the room. One time I think we waited for over 5 minutes for one. For the price we are paying, I would expect everything to at least be working properly.

The location was perfect, the staff were helpful since we are elderly, the bed was great.

Three of our five nights I woke early and went to the lobby to read. The night guard came in and told another woman and myself that the lobby was closed. I said, closed? He then asked if I was staying in the hotel and both she and I answered yes and he left. The following morning he came in and went to sleep on the couch as I was reading. I do not mind that he wanted to sleep, but to ask a guest to leave so he could sleep is not cool.

This hotel has a fantastic location right in the heart of the old city. There was a friendly welcome by front desk staff and we made it just in time for a complimentary glass of wine served between 5-6pm in the lovely reception area. Our Room was tastefully decorated with everything we needed for our short stay.

Perfect location for visiting the historical parts of Philadelphia. So many restaurants nearby. Our room was clean and quiet. The room was small but it was enough for the two of us. The complimentary coffee in the lobby was quite good for hotel coffee. We would definitely stay again.

The location of this property was perfect! We could see independence hall out of the window in our room. The only downside to that is that the bells woke us up a couple of times in the middle of the night. There were two double decker bus stops right outside the hotel and many sites were within walking distance of the hotel. The bathroom was very clean but small. All in all I would stay here again in the future.

The hotel has a very cool eclectic vibe. Check in and out was easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room had all the amenities we needed, including an iron and ironing board. The bed was very comfortable plus the room was very quiet so we slept great! We didn’t eat at the restaurant but had a night cap at the bar and it was great.

The staff was great especially Lasha from housekeeping. She made us feel very welcomed. Enjoyed the decor.

What an amazing location, and what a hip gorgeous hotel! Has a great restaurant as well and our pups were made extra comfortable, being greeted with treats. Full service hotel. Loved this place!

The carpets and walls needed attention. On day one there was an m&m in the hall, on the last day the crushed M&M was finally cleaned up

Always happy to stay here, the front desk staff are friendly and very helpful. Enjoy the happy hour at 5:00, it's nice to come back and have a relaxing drink before going out to dinner. My only complaint ......... we stay on Sunday and the restaurant isn't open for dinner anymore. We use to enjoy eating there, the food and staff were excellent.

The hotel is situated just across the street from Independence Hall and only minutes from the nearest train station. The building is beautiful and the rooms are really uniquely decorated. We had plenty of space and the beds were comfortable. Everything felt very clean. They had complimentary coffee in the morning and wine in the evening which was a really nice surprise. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating.

Linens and bed were comfortable. Room was quiet.

Too many dogs. I was lucky to have my room switched to a pet free floor. Anyone with pet allergies should be aware that a great number of people travel with their dogs and you may be next to a barking dog or have a room that dogs stayed in. Also the bathroom was really small

This hotel is fantastic! The location cannot be beat for touring the historic sites, museums and great restaurants/bars. Our room (2 queen beds) was so much more spacious than I expected which was a real delight since we had our two teenage kids with us. The lobby is also a lovely place to just hang out if you need some downtime from sightseeing. And the hotel restaurant has a great menu.

Two of the four elevators were down during our stay so you had a wait a bit longer but it wasn't a big deal.

First room we got had dirty sheets (on a made bed), next room they moved us to was ok but yhe hotel is older and it shows... carpets are worn and nothing seems super clean.

The location is outstanding, with direct view on the Independence Hall. The interiors of the hotel are unique, truly a work of art.The staff is very kind and competent.

Breakfast was slow and while formally included, it was in reality menu-based with an allowance which in our case did not cover for a standard breakfast. The valet service, though quite expensive, ends at 3pm regardless of the entrance time the day before, obliging you to rush back to the hotel if you were touring the city.

We had a great big bathtub and it was wonderful. Loved the cute dog lamp. Very nice hotel

Something small that I’m not sure really matters, some wallpaper looked like maybe it’s peeling off the wall. It could just be the glue isn’t holding it. Some people might find it off putting. The room seemed to be clean and good anyway

Room was so quite. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was lovely and private. Loved the door. Lots of use of space wisely. Excellent design. Smart lighting and Excellent heat/cooling .

One woman at the front desk told us hot tea wasn't available and we had to buy it at the restaurant. My husband went down later and lovely staff provided an electric kettle. We always bring tea bags. The room was dirty with dust and the floor was messy. When we asked to have it vacuumed the same first woman told us we had to ask for this and it was not included. The room was never dusted and my husband has allergies. The valet staff we amazing. All of them.

The hotel is wonderfully eclectic. Staff was helpful and went over the top. Location is perfect to see local sites.

The location of the hotel was perfect. The room was large and the beds were very comfortable. Independence Hall sits diagonally across the street from the hotel. From our 7th floor window we could see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. We were able to walk to all of the historic sites and restaurants. We did have to take an UBER to the zoo and the Academy of Music. The complimentary breakfast offerings were really good and varied.

I didn't like the dollar limit on the complimentary breakfast. You were given a $15 dollar allowance, and anything over $15 you had to pay. I also didn't like that a gratuity was added to your breakfast bill each day. I like having the option to tip or not tip according to the service.
