The front office staff was very rude and incompetent

Instagramable look, they allow to check in earlier and polite

Stole a lot of cash from locked room safe and dismissive when asked to investigate and look at comers, trying to hide

The building work made outside entrance ugly . The staff were friendly but too ‘stiff’ . The in-room entertainment sub-standard and TV too small . The spa facility not properly manned and bad communication . The food I did have in bar/library average

The hotel has a very nice overall concept and the rooms are tastefully decorated. The staff tries to be as helpful as possible. The bar section and breakfast in the morning were much better than many of our experiences in Paris.

Although the hotel is close to the main street, Victor Hugo, it is quite far from many points and transportation can be quite cumbersome. It is not a very suitable hotel for a family vacation, especially if you have a baby. Although the staff tries to be helpful, the rooms, hotel entrance and general structure are not very suitable for a family vacation. The rooms are a bit small and designed with limited functionality according to our standards. The SPA section was below average compared to many of our previous experiences. Finally, during our departure, we had to wait for hours due to a great deal of unplanned chaos at ORLY for the transfer and farewell service that needed to be arranged. It was inadequate for such a hotel that they only apologized and did not take responsibility for the situation.

Since we mentioned we were on our honeymoon, they offered us a complimentary room upgrade.

There was nothing extraordinary about the property for the price we paid for it. We expected it to be a lot bigger and grander. But there wasn't anything that stood out. They even charged us for milk for coffee machine in room, which should be very basic at a five star resort.

Location is bad, you have to take taxi anywhere Pool is cold & very very tiny. Staff is not professional & it’s obvious they are not trained , half the time they are on their phones. Ordered omelette w mixed veggies got veggies separately every time even when I told them I want it mixed into the omelette - several times I told this! They have no barista nor any knowledge about coffe- whatever you order you will always get bad coffe w scolding milk on the side. Ordered latte, cappuccino each time I got coffee w scolding milk on the side (I even explained that I want espresso w milk). It’s a joke. Seriously so unprofessional & not the slightest knowledgeable staff.

St James is a palace hidden in the center of Paris. From the moment you walk through the gates and past that iconic fountain, to the moment the staff check you in, it all feels incredible. The decor and rooms are amazing and we really enjoyed chilling in the bar and their gorgeous back garden for drinks in the evening. It was my birthday and they went out of their way to help us celebrate

A fantastic true five star experience. Beautiful old chateau recently renovated to the highest standard. Great attentive staff that are skilled and genuinely care. our junior suite was excellent.

The staff took to many time to come and to attend… a bit unorganized service. waited more than 20 min until someone reached to me…

Food Service - no well trained staff waited on 40 mins no service left property on first night to find place to eat Second night same problem met couple guests also experienced long wait time and just left and we had dinner else where room standard excellent and large real shame about the restaurant staff just not trained properly. No flowers in room, one bottle water. Front end staff excellent. Location excellent.
