Location was good

No curtains on bunk beds. Seemed like a basic privacy reqs

The was a broken drain pipe that let smells into the room. The aircondioning system did not cool.

The location was very accessible and means of transport was easy metro and bus

The staff was not that friendly, they didnt brief me on all the facilities and the benefits within the hostel.

A little bit far from center

A v solid option for the price. I already knew area well so enjoy it. Bar a decent place to work from if needed.

Bar music too loud and at times a bit annoying. Massive hostel means a huge range of people stay there-- from school groups, to families to lone travellers.

Very accessible (15min walk from Gare du Nord / de l'Est) and plenty of options in the area: groceries, lunch, dinner, breakfast, cafés.

No individual lamps in the bed next to the power outlets, unlike other Generator properties I've stayed at.

Lifts were out/ broken. TG we were only on 2nd floor. Rooftop bar was beautiful but music was too loud for space& it was expensive The property was tired & needed maintenance & upkeep

Great fun hostel. Loved the roof bar, breakfast room, table tennis. Great staff too. Approachable, friendly and all had impeccable English (which helped us!)

Curtains were ragged and therefore not very effective and beds not very comfortable but all clean.

The lift was broken and one shower was leaky but it was still fine for the money.

Located right beside one metro line and a 10 minute walk from the other. I went to a concert in Stade De France on Saturday night and it was well located to get there only 30 minutes on the metro. I would definitely recommend it for people heading there. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

Lifts were out of order and the directions to the stairs weren't signposted very well. Would have been nice if there was a place to hang clothes in the deluxe room. Even if it was just a rack.

The toilet was constantly clogged. I would arrive at night to the clogged toilet, someone would come in the morning to un-clogged it, and the next day it would be clogged again.

A very nice and clean hostel. Rooms come in various standards – everyone will find something for themselves, whether you're traveling with a group of friends, family, or alone. The location is good – the Metro 2 station is right next door. The street next to the hostel is currently undergoing renovations. This doesn't negatively impact your stay. Breakfast is okay, and there are several places to eat nearby. I recommend it.

Location was great. Liked the lounge area and access to treats (vending machines).

The cleanup. Someone made a massive dump one of the communal toilets with the showers. Was there for 2 days. Not good hygiene and bacteria would spread. My shower in my room didn’t have a door.

The room was spacious, the cleaning worker does her job perfectly, you have shower and toilet in the room.

AC wasn't cooling at all so much of the night I would wake up sweating. My locker was broken and I couldn't use it. Almost everything in the room makes loud sound so whenever anyone doing anything you get disturbed.

Very expensive and noisy.

Very modern and clean hostel. Offers a beautiful rooftop bar with a panoramic view at Montmartre. In general a good price/quality ratio. My dorm room had a private bathroom, there was another shared one at the corridor but it was far far away from being clean.

No curtains covering the bed - everyone sees you when you’re sleeping and the light in the room can be disturbing. No kitchen/fridge available. Very small common space which makes it impossible to eat your meal in the hostel during the lunch time - it was full with people waiting to check in. There is a restaurant right next to it but it is not allowed to consume your meal over there. Very expensive luggage storage - charged per hour. Rooftop bar available only if you buy a drink - as a hotel guest you cannot just chill over there, it is not considered as common space. Generally more of a hotel kind of place rather than backpackers’ hostel.

The room itself could have been better taken care of.I mean shelves besides the socket are dusty.Apart from that, if person isn't fit enough climbing onto the upper bed could be a milestone.

The communal bathroom was dirty, the hostel room was extremely hot, the beds made screeching noise when one moved, I booked 4-bed room but was placed into 8-bed

The location is great! The hostel is also pretty good. The beds are comfortable and the dormitories are mostly clean. The staff was always friendly and very helpful.

There were some downsides. In my dormitory one of the power outlets at my bed wasn't working. Also I think the fee for extras like towels is a bit expensive. We were also a bit disappointed by the rooftop bar. You have to reserve a table there or else you probably won't get in. The cocktails had way too much ice and were very expensive. But the view up there is still pretty amazing. In conclusion I think those are some minor inconveniences you should be aware of.

Spacious room with a private bathroom. It was calm and quiet (thanks to the other guests 😊). Nice breakfast and breakfast area, plus a bar and pool table. The staff were lovely too!

The biggest issue was that it was extremely hot in the room, despite the supposedly working AC — it was nearly impossible to sleep well. I booked this hostel because they claimed to have air conditioning, but in reality, they didn’t. Complaining to the staff didn’t help. Another issue was cleanliness — the place wasn’t well maintained. The private shower had no proper door, so the floor stayed wet and smelly. The sinks in the shared bathrooms were also poorly designed — too narrow to wash your face or brush your teeth without water spilling all over the floor. Towels weren’t included; you have to pay extra to rent one (though you can exchange it as many times as you want). The location isn’t great, but not terrible either — it took about 30 minutes by metro to get to the Eiffel Tower. Overall, I would’ve given a better rating if they had proper AC. Sadly, this was a kind of disappointing experience — which is why I’m leaving this review.

The working team and the position. Particularly Alexis at the Rezeption and the girl at the Bar Monday evening. The place is very clean and everyone friendly. Around is very nice and near the train and metro stations.

Disappointing breakfast and shared spaces, Particularly after being last year in Generator Amsterdam. I booked Generator in Paris after my dream stay there. Here in Paris, you pay 10 euro breakfast, but if you want an espresso or cappuccino you should pay extra. Only Filter coffee and one cheap juice. No oat milk or similar. The rest was yogurt, sugarly cereals, 1 fruit salad, Cheap ham and cheese, and you could CHOOSE between 2 Mini Croissants or 2 mini pain a chocolat, OR eggs OR bacon OR a plain crepe with sugar. So, No chance if you are vegan or Lactose intollerant or want something healthy. The decorations on the floors and in the lobby consist in Marketing. But maybe I am wrong that a chain like Generator should have a standard for hospitality, even in Paris, where having a low standard for hospitality and high prices is normal. Thanks to the working team I would consider to come again but have breakfast somewhere else :)

Great location, great price. I had a quick, one-night stay so I cannot give a very detailed review. But it seemed quiet enough but also fun enough. The shared bathroom needs a bit more attention. The hostel is pretty huge, easy to meet other travelers for sure

Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. Really appreciated having separate female only bathrooms and showers for if I wanted to use them even though I was in a mixed room. Location was great and really easy to get into the centre

The tap in my room was broken (although staff were quick to fix it when asked). There was a much older gentleman in the room with me (a teenage girl) which made me a little uncomfortable and I didn’t find the atmosphere particularly social

The dorm was quite good. Good beds, well climated, modern, locker + bathroom and toilets in the room. Around the hostel are supermarkets, restaurants, a metro station and bakerys.

The price for the luggage stores are very expensive. In general this hostel is too expensive.
