Really friendly and great location + rooftop bar!

Daily tidying service available if you ask for it. Location was very good for our purposes (meeting an international diplomat “son” daily, after his work at UN finished). Friendly staff, clean rooms, working elevators. Desk w/ chair in room.

The light in the smoke alarm flashes (intermittently) all night long - I almost never am bothered by light (can fall asleep with the lights on) but this one kept me awake, all night, the first night. BRING A SLEEP MASK. Also, no in room coffee or tea kettle for those of us who like to drink a hot cup at bedtime or top of the morning while in pj’s. Room size was - predictably tight. We upgraded to a queen (thank goodness!) but only one under bed drawer for the two of us to share. My hard sided carry on could only fit in the one space under the bed so, thank goodness my husband used a small, knapsack style, soft sided suitcase that could fit under the room safe. Two hard sided suitcases … would have to pull one out to access the second. (And one of us used up most of the drawer space so the other of us kept their clothes in the suitcase.)

The location was excellent. The rooms are small but well-equipped with everything you need. The rooftop area is beautiful – perfect for relaxing during the day and enjoying a drink in the evening. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

I loved coming back each day to our room perfectly cleaned. Even the trash was emptied every morning, no matter how little there was. We also enjoyed the view (we were on the 15th floor), which made a difference since the room itself was very small. One evening, we came back late with food from Wendy’s, and the staff was chill about us eating it in the lobby bar/restaurant without having to order anything there. In general, the staff were always friendly and helpful, both at reception and in housekeeping. The rooftop was another highlight. It was super cool and cozy. We didn’t book any rooftop restaurant or bar elsewhere, so I felt lucky that we experienced that right at the hotel. And of course, the biggest advantage was the location. While we still took the metro most days, the station was just a few minutes’ walk from the Pod. Plus, we could easily walk to the Empire State Building, Times Square, Broadway, etc.

The rooms are very small, although we quickly got used to it. The only real complaint was the smell. Everything was fine when we arrived, but starting from the second or third day, there was suddenly a damp-towel-like odor in the room. It got quite strong, so we reported it to reception. They took note, but nothing changed in the following days. Strangely, the smell disappeared after more than a week, when we returned one evening, possibly because we had accidentally left the window open that day (we usually avoided this because of mosquitoes.) We were never sure what caused it, maybe an old cleaning rag, maybe poor ventilation but it was noticeable and unpleasant.

The staff is just lovely. They managed to check me in a tad earlier than the agreed time and put in the effort to make me feel welcome. The rooms are indeed small, but very efficiently arranged. So if you come with the right expectations, you'll enjoy it.

A TV listing would have been useful at the end of long days, but the room functioned well. The staff were all amazingly helpful and friendly.

Sometimes I could not find anyone at the bar area.

the rooms are very very tight and this is well described by the hotel chain - we were prepared for a cramped room and the rest of the hotel was really good. Great bar and restaurant on site.

Amazing midtown location. Easy walk to many famous sights in Manhattan. Very clean rooms and bathrooms and a lovely rooftop bar with views. Very comfortable bed. Free daily gym pass was an added bonus!

Great location, near grand central station and Times Square. Would stay again but opt for a bigger room. We had a great view from our room. The cleaner everyday was very good. The staff were nice. The bar area was good. Place was surprisingly quiet

Room is tiny as expected and that is understatement ! but you have everything you need there. You get complimentary coffee or tea for breakfast at the restaurant. There is a bar at the top floor with stunning view of the city... the best part of the hotel obviously is the location ! The location is superb !

I’ve been staying here for the past 4-5 visits to NYC for the US Open. It is a very comfortable basic hotel which is perfect for a fuss-free busy holiday and the location is just perfect for everything you need.

The staff were great, the beds were so cosy and the location was good, just a short walk away from Grand Central Station. There's also a modest breakfast option available onsite. This was exactly what we needed it to be considering we just used the room for sleep.

There is no privacy with regards the bathroom as there's just a barely frosted transparent glass door separating you from the bedroom. If you're travelling with friends or family and you want privacy, you're not going to get it. Why not just frost the whole door?

Great location, lovely rooftop bar, excellent value, clean (tiny) room. A short walk to Grand Central Station and a very reasonable stroll to the theater district and other Midtown destinations.

Not much privacy when using the bathroom, which is behind a frosted, sliding glass door. The bunk beds were perfect for our father/daughter trip. But there were times when one of us had to leave the room when the other used the bathroom.

Great location, close to many of the main attractions in NYC. Friendly staff and well maintained facilities. Shower water pressure was amazing. Great view from the rooftop bar area. Fast elevators to get you there.

Like most of NYC, a little old even though it's well maintained. Rooms are extremely small, the Queen room barely fits two people and there is no room to get your luggage out. The table and chair in the room is so cramped that it would be better to not have them.

The staff was truly so lovely and accommodating. The room was a great size and the facilities were really great. 10 minutes from the main Grand Central station so very easy to get around. Great attractions like Chrysler building, NY Public Library and Times Square nearby.

It is close to city center. Rooms are small but fit for the purpose: to sleep. Also very clean, each day I’ve got fresh towels. It is also very quiet, which I like a lot.

The location was very convenient and close to Grand Central Station. We were able to travel via public transport from JFK to the hotel relatively easily.

I really liked it! I really like the coffee in the morning and the rooftop terrace. It was sometimes a little noisy in the hallway, but I had my earbuds in so didn’t hear it too much.

The blinking of the firealarm was a bit annoying and the room was pretty dark.

The hotel has a great location, it is close to the Grand Terminal Station and it is at a walkable distance from Times Square, Bryant Park, The Rockefeller Center, among others. It's close to plenty of restaurants as well. Everything in the room was thoroughly cleaned when we needed.

The room was a bit smaller than I had anticipated, the shower was quite small but manageable. I also wished there was more space to keep our belongings - the room had a drawer under the bed to store luggage, a small clothes rail and a small table. It was a bit hard to store all our belongings and the stuff we bought during the trip.

The location was amazing! Short walk to my favorite restaurant KJun, and Grand Central. It's a great place for the price for solo travelers who won't be in the room much. The staff was really nice as well.

The room was loud! The phone beeped for no reason, the AC was like a train and you could hear your neighbors at all times. Also, the fire alarm above the bed flashed constantly! Sensory overload for sure.

the rooms are very small for 2 people and frosted shower was an uncomfortable find for us as we are traveling as friends, so we had to step out to the lobby every time we wanted to shower

the only thing that I would ask you to look into is to change those maneater curtains in the shower. The shower is great (hot and cold water with good space) but that plastic curtain is a killer
