Great location. Clean and efficient little rooms with great showers.

very compact, however understand that is part of the stay and we did know before arriving. Its very tight for 2 people.

room was quite small but that’s to be expected in a budget hotel in NYC. WiFi wasn’t too great either.

This hotel is always good value with a great location for access in and out to JFK, and walking distance to interesting places, great restaurants and travel hub like Grand Central Station

This particular room shower cubicle was a little small for me at 6'3", so I had a very friendly shower curtain.

The hotel is simple but very clean and comfortable. The bed was good, the towels were nice, and the heating worked well, which made the stay much more pleasant.

There’s nothing major to complain about. It’s a simple hotel, so expectations should be aligned with that, but everything worked as expected.

I liked the staff. They were nice & helpful. The room had plenty of towels.

It wasn’t very accessible as in: I couldn’t carry my luggage with ease on my way in as there were no ramps.

Location is great

Proximity to Grand Central way key to my stay in NY (reason for choosing Pod 39) and that they store the luggage for you before checkin and after checkout at no cost. Staff was kind. They offer free coffee and tea in the morgon for free, and bagels at reasonable costs.

The AC in the room is loud, so i had to sleep with earplugs but even then i woke up because or the rumbling from the AC. If i didnt have the AC on during the night i woke up freezing.

Pod 39 was DEFINITELY the right choice out of the cheaper hotels in the midtown area. As two queer women best friends/travel buddies on a budget, we found it to be the perfect location for our trip. First, its three blocks from grand central, but not on a busy street, so you’re in a sweet spot for commuting around the city. Also, we expected the room to be much smaller, but there was SO much room to store our carry-ons and move around to get ready in the morning. For the girlies, HUGE getting ready mirror AND full length mirror in the bunk room perf for selfies and getting ready together. Every morning room service gave us fresh soap and towels and made our beds/folded our pjs. Not really what you’d expect from a budget-friendly option. Bodega, dunkin, cvs, bagel shops, grand central cafeteria, are all within 5 mins or less from the hotel. Not too crowded on the streets, but mind you we went during mid January during the off season so that was expected. Never felt unsafe walking on my own in the neighborhood either.

Room service came slightly early arounf 8:30am sometimes, but nothing to complain to much about! very grateful.

The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean, and the location is excellent (just a short walk from Grand Central and 5th Avenue and neighborhood is relatively quiet). The price is fair and offers good value for what you get.

The rooms are small and there isn’t much space for your luggage. This can be a bit inconvenient, but if you’re mostly out exploring the city, it’s not a big problem.

I really liked the location, the staff is really nice. If I go to New York once again, I will definitely stay at this hotel.

I wouldn’t prefer the smallest room once again. Except the small rooms everything was fine.

Price and location are good. Bathroom clean and room itself was pretty clean. Tight space was expected.

I think the room is so small that the cleaners never close the door and the back of the door was dirty and disgusting. The room was noisy from some sort of engine - don’t know if it was the heat but really loud. TV remote didn’t work.

The only think I’d have to say is the HDMI didn’t work so that was the only thing I’d say was bad

As always, a reliable and affordable option well located in Midtown. Its better than no-frills - everything works, its comfortable, you can get a quiet room etc. Have stayed here many times and never been let down.

Beds are comfortable, exactly as advertised. We stayed during the holiday season, and prices were high for what they offer, but reasonable compared to other places with somewhat similar characteristics. The shower pressure was very high, which can be nice, but the airflow made the shower curtain stick to you, which was very annoying. It was very hard, almost impossible, to calibrate the sink's water temperature. The "view" of the city through the window was almost completely obstructed by a construction. Our room was on the second floor, and the noise was not a problem. They cleaned the room thoroughly every day. Staff was very friendly.

It is very clean but very small room we had 4 luggage we couldn’t move no were but all day out side just we entered to get a shower and out again and back to sleep and it is 20mins walk to time square and very near grand central terminal 7mins only

The staff were lovely and it's location.

We did have some issue to start with the room ( the fan was running at maximum constantly so was a bit awkward to sleep, hair dryer didn't work and the ceiling panel fell down) but to be fair, they were quick to move us and help and the nature of the issue could happen anywhere.

It is nice, simple, straightforward. A bit noisy with the air conditioning, but overall I slept well, and it's clean. Personnel is great, ready to respond to questions and to help.

Maybe there is no need to change the towels everyday? It would be more sustainable.

It was the more expensive Pod option to choose from because of its location but as a solo traveller, I think it would have been better to save money and stay closer to Broadway for travel back at night.

Another property I visit regularly. Nice neighborhood and just a few minutes from Broadway. Room is tiny, but all that I need. Nice staff.

The hotel is localised in a very good spot in the city, close to all of the main streets, but far enough on the side that it was not too loud in the room.

Location was perfect and the room, although small, was comfortable and great value for money.

There was not a place where I could sit comfortably to watch the TV. The chair could not be used because too hard on my back. Then the T,V lost its signal late Tuesday night 12/02/2025. A bummer on a good visit

Because the rooms are small hanging out in a common social area is important. The hotel's common area was a bit haphazardly run and felt like an after thought rather than a priority.
