The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and quiet. Great location - just outside of the very busy tourist areas but easy to get to all the sites. Close to Grand Central which makes accessing public transport easy.

Location was perfect. The room was a perfect size for me. The bathroom was clean and modern. Can’t wait to come back one day.

The This hotel boasts an incredibly convenient location right in the heart of Manhattan. It offers easy access to many of the city's most popular attractions and entertainment venues. You'll find yourself just a short walk away from renowned theaters, world-class dining, and vibrant shopping districts. The proximity to public transportation also makes exploring further afield a breeze. Staying here truly enhances the Manhattan experience.

We found the room for two people to be a bit more compact than anticipated. While it provided the basic necessities, the space felt rather snug for our comfort. It might be suitable for a very brief stay, but for longer durations, we'd likely seek a more expansive option.

Centrally located, room was very clean and practical, breakfast option at the bar, staff was very helpful, helped me for early check in (2 hours earlier but they made everything possible to do it)

It was really in a god central area, the staff was kind and helpful, the room was though smaller than usual, but we knew that and it was sufficient. Bed was convenient.

The glass door of the bathroom is not good, you can see that your partner sittting on the toilet while you’re in the bed. More privacy is required.

Excellent location: easy walk to Grand Central station even wheeling luggage - reason for choosing hotel. Staff pleasant and efficient. Premises + room clean. Basically fine for a busy NYC programme staying out all day + eves.

Its eye-watering price - though on a par with other centrally located mid range hotels. Room basically a small metal box - value for £300 a day questionable. No kettle or fridge but reception will provide cup of hot water on request, ditto iron. Shower is awkward - small with no hand-held option to prevent hair getting wet.

The staff was excellent and welcoming. The room service was excellent. Great location. The bed was comfortable.

The Pod hotel is located in the Murray Hill neighborhood, very close to all the attractions of the city. The rooms are small but very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Great central location and unbeatable price. Clean comfortable functional rooms and very friendly staff. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting NY who needs a base to stay.

The room doors have gaps and let noise in, I could hear people in the corridor yelling and noise from the lift.

Room was clean (and cleaned daily). Rooftop bar was huge bonus as the view was amazing. Location was excellent - close to a subway and a lot of shops/bars/restaurants/places of interest. The shower, along with the bed were the room highlights. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

The lamp by the bed didn't work, so you have to turn off the light by the main switch and find your way back to the bed in the dark. Worst part was that the bathroom fan was constantly on, and quite loud. Rooms were pretty small, even with an upgrade.

Great location, nice neighbourhood within walking distance of most of the big attractions. Easy to get on the train from Grand Central. Lots of places to eat nearby. The room was comfortable, basic but had everything we needed.

Now the hotel has from 7-11am tea and coffee for free. It has a restaurant and the possibility to arrange a transportation to the airport.

Loved this experience! It was my birthday, so I was greeted with a birthday card and they accepted my request for free upgrade, which is highly appreciated ☺️ The location is amazing and near Grand Central, moreover it is always clean and the stuff is lovely and responsive to any ask. And of course the rooftop is with incredible view which is a great bonus ☺️

The location of the hotel is excellent — just a 5–10 minute walk to Grand Central. I stayed with my sister, and we felt completely comfortable walking back to the hotel at nights. The room was very clean, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Matthew for his assistance. I definitely recommend this place for its great value for money.

Excellent, excellent location and staff. So friendly, always smiling and the cherry on top was the free luggage holding option post check-out. Everything was absolutely wonderful and the perfect place for solo travellers, no matter if for work or holiday. I was so impressed I will definitely come back here next time I visit NYC. :)

Daily tidying service available if you ask for it. Location was very good for our purposes (meeting an international diplomat “son” daily, after his work at UN finished). Friendly staff, clean rooms, working elevators. Desk w/ chair in room.

The light in the smoke alarm flashes (intermittently) all night long - I almost never am bothered by light (can fall asleep with the lights on) but this one kept me awake, all night, the first night. BRING A SLEEP MASK. Also, no in room coffee or tea kettle for those of us who like to drink a hot cup at bedtime or top of the morning while in pj’s. Room size was - predictably tight. We upgraded to a queen (thank goodness!) but only one under bed drawer for the two of us to share. My hard sided carry on could only fit in the one space under the bed so, thank goodness my husband used a small, knapsack style, soft sided suitcase that could fit under the room safe. Two hard sided suitcases … would have to pull one out to access the second. (And one of us used up most of the drawer space so the other of us kept their clothes in the suitcase.)

The location was excellent. The rooms are small but well-equipped with everything you need. The rooftop area is beautiful – perfect for relaxing during the day and enjoying a drink in the evening. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

I loved coming back each day to our room perfectly cleaned. Even the trash was emptied every morning, no matter how little there was. We also enjoyed the view (we were on the 15th floor), which made a difference since the room itself was very small. One evening, we came back late with food from Wendy’s, and the staff was chill about us eating it in the lobby bar/restaurant without having to order anything there. In general, the staff were always friendly and helpful, both at reception and in housekeeping. The rooftop was another highlight. It was super cool and cozy. We didn’t book any rooftop restaurant or bar elsewhere, so I felt lucky that we experienced that right at the hotel. And of course, the biggest advantage was the location. While we still took the metro most days, the station was just a few minutes’ walk from the Pod. Plus, we could easily walk to the Empire State Building, Times Square, Broadway, etc.

The rooms are very small, although we quickly got used to it. The only real complaint was the smell. Everything was fine when we arrived, but starting from the second or third day, there was suddenly a damp-towel-like odor in the room. It got quite strong, so we reported it to reception. They took note, but nothing changed in the following days. Strangely, the smell disappeared after more than a week, when we returned one evening, possibly because we had accidentally left the window open that day (we usually avoided this because of mosquitoes.) We were never sure what caused it, maybe an old cleaning rag, maybe poor ventilation but it was noticeable and unpleasant.

The staff is just lovely. They managed to check me in a tad earlier than the agreed time and put in the effort to make me feel welcome. The rooms are indeed small, but very efficiently arranged. So if you come with the right expectations, you'll enjoy it.
