Hotel CitizenM Times Square, New York

Perfect hotel for couples city break retreat - excellent location within walking distance of Broadway, very comfortable bed, good vibe in common areas.

Quality & newness of entire hotel. Bed was very comfortable

Staff was a little too comfortable around guests, goofing around and dropping f bombs. Rooms are super small, but well appointed.

The hotel is amazing BUT very noisy.. I love the CitizenM hotels the vibe the breakfast etc and I visit them all the time but this one is too noisy

The hotel is in a very central area however there is a lot of noise I could not sleep in spite of the fact that they were very nice and moved me from floor 4 to floor 18

Wonderful lobby with plenty of places to hang out. Great breakfast. I was worried about the elevators being slow, but it wasn't bad at all. Loved the high tech room with easy control over lights, blackout shades, etc. No long lines to check in/out since it is self-service on screens that are very easy to operate. There was always at least one person at the desk and they always responded to our questions very thoughtfully and pleasantly. Excellent staff!

The room is compact, which is fine because it is well-designed, with 2 separate closets and a compact fridge. It was fine for my daughter and me, but the bed position is tight. She slept on the side of the bed flush against the wall, and had to climb over me to get in/out. I also wonder how they change the bedding on those beds - the maids must have a lot of core strength! All in all, though a good experience at Citizen M!

The whole place was super cute! I was actually expecting a janky hotel because of the price, but it was so so nice. It was trendy and clean and kinda blew me away. The room is a "micro room" but it was totally fine. It was just my daughter and I so it was perfect for 2 people. Would 100% stay there again!

The only thing I didn't like was that there was no free drip coffee. I mean, I get it, I guess but I thought that was weird.

Comfy and convenient

Extra towels required particularly floor mats, don’t need room cleaned or serviced for a 1/2 night stay. Just provide the extra for comfort.

It was a great location and very clean, however the room was very compact.

The bathroom areas was part of the room worn fuzzy glass and a curtain for privacy.

Only two things i would say that could improve things reangle the bed so one does nt have to climb over the other if they need to hop out in the middle of the night. A reusable bottle of tap water in the room would be a welcome touch. otherwise perfect!

Lobby had a great vibe, breakfast was great, location was awesome, staff was friendly.

A great location, gorgeous hotel and rooftop bar. The beds are so comfortable and the views are insane. Staff were lovely. I will definitely be recommending to my friends and family and will book again.

The staff was supposed to contact us about something we left behind, but they never followed up.

I loved how unique citizenM is! The decor is incredible and put together with the eye of a talented and humorous artist! The breakfasts were varied and wonderful, the lounge atmosphere had games and books and plenty of things to do. The king size bed was quite comfortable and I couldn’t ask for a better stay. The staff was absolutely wonderful as well.

The location for anyone who wants to be at the very tourist center. The room was great. Cozy and small but we knew it and it was great. Clean, decorated, quiet (floor 18), well maintained, great check in/out experience, roof top was super nice.

Elevators were a bit of a hassle to use - you didn't know which direction they were traveling when you got on. Note: they were in the process of being upgraded while we were there. Light switches in the room were poorly labeled and confusing to use

Fabulous hotel, facilities are excellent, the location right on Times Square is fabulous and there is a subway station one minute away making it perfect for exploring. Breakfast was really good, and the Rooftop bar is a wonderful way to end a busy day.

Maybe tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be nice

Everything was awesome. I just had one concern. I was told there was a flat fee of 75.00 for you all services for taking my husband and I to airport, however when driver dropped us off she told us it would be 100.00. I felt she scammed myself and hunny. Thank you Ervina and Gregory Eady

In compared to last visit. Small items as beakers for tooth brushes is missing. Fr memory, there is a desk chair available, to make it easier when working on desk. That is missing as well

The location is perfect! Close to everywhere. Good subway links nearby. 5 min walk to Times Square. Right at the heart of the theatre district with Wicked on one side of the hotel, The Book of Mormon at the other and Mamma Mia at the end of the street. Lovely restaurants and cafes nearby

The room is very small for 2 people but I suppose that is Manhattan! The bed was really comfortable. "City view" was a bit of an exaggeration as our room looked out onto roof tops. Not a biggie

Our 18 year old daughter stayed at the hotel on a solo trip to NY. citizenM had everything she needed and nothing she didn’t. She told us the bed was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location is amazing. You step outside and you are basically surrounded by New York’s greatest hits: Madison Square Garden, Broadway theaters, Times Square, Central Park and Rockefeller Center. The “smart” room was actually pretty awesome, complete with mood lighting that made me feel like I was living inside a sci-fi movie. Breakfast was really good, and the staff? Genuinely wonderful people, always polite and smiling like they actually enjoy seeing us. Pro tip: Carnegie Diner nearby is also a fantastic breakfast spot, huge portions and great prices.

Some days they just skipped room cleaning. A quick call to the lobby fixed it, but it would be nice if cleaning had some sort of predictable schedule so you don’t come back to a surprise towel art project made by yesterday’s self. Only two elevators worked during our stay, which in Manhattan basically means elevator traffic jams, and the gym was closed for a makeover.

The location is excellent. Near time square, theaters, restaurants, and the subways. The subway lines near the hotel, get you to major attractions without a transfer. The roof top bar is a great place to end an evening. They lobby bar is nice and there is a nice breakfast available.

Waiting on elevators can be long. They are working on one this trip.

The location was terrific, you couldn't want to be any nearer Times Square. The staff were super helpful and friendly, and the check-in procedure was easy and fast. We appreciated the ironing room and the fact that you could get something to eat or drink pretty much 24 hours a day. The last night we treated ourselves to a few drinks on the rooftop bar, and it was well worth it—probably a highlight of the stay. We chose this hotel because it has a reputation for being LGBTQ+ friendly, and it absolutely was. Although the room was relatively small, the bed was absolutely huge, and very comfortable. With jet lag, we slept 12 hours two nights running without any problem!

It's a small gripe, but it's a bit weird having the bed right up against the window, along the length of the wall. It was very comfortable, clean and fine, it's just that you had to climb on to the bed to get into it if you were on the window side, and it would have been nice to get near to the window to look out properly as well. But it's not a deal-breaker, though in truth the room in reality felt quite a bit smaller to how it looked in the pictures.

Perfect location, just a few steps away from Time Square. We had a quiet room (to the backyard) with a very comfortable bed. However, the rooms are very small, but well furnished and totally clean. We highly recommend this hotel for a city trip in NYC.

The room was a lot bigger than expected and we loved the smart features to control the room. And the location to everything; Times Square, Central Park, Uses, Subway stations, broadway shows, everything was perfect!

Loud, must bring ear plugs to sleep. Front desk staff could have been nicer and more accommodating. Stated they would bring ear plugs to our room and then called us to say we need to return to lobby to get. Small things like that.

Nice hotel with a fancy decoration. Rooftop is a plus. Closer metro station just some steps around the corner.
