Alder Hotel, New Orleans

The biggest bonus was free parking with security. The hotel is located in a convenient location to everything. We traveled with our dog and they gave her a treat with a red ribbon. Very dog friendly.

Bed was a little hard for us. We are seniors and like a slightly soft bed.

The goal was in close proximity to everything. The parking was free and right across the street which is hard to find in New Orleans. The staff was very friendly and helpful

I didn’t like how uncomfortable the bed was, there was no smart tv and a lot of the plugs did not work.

I like that Jennifer was nice and that Albert the conceirge guy was very kind and generous as well giving ideas of things to do overall Alder Hotel met our expectations.

I can’t think of nothing at the moment it was a great stay.

This hotel has FREE parking across the street which is quite rare in New Orleans. The staff were courteous and professional. There was always security on site and when we ordered doordash he didn't allow them to come upstairs but he protected our items until we came and got them. Excellent service and only 10 mins away from Burbon street.

There was some major event in the city that weekend, so prices were higher than expected.

Location was a bit isolated from commerce--an industrial vibe--but two blocks away were plenty of options. Would be nice if there were snacks available on site.

Close to Tulane University

Having a free parking place was very comforting. There was no breakfast but coffee and tea was served at the lobby, and there are nice places to eat nearby, at five minute walking . The internet was super. We went to the center by bus once, but the second day found parking at the center, 20$ for nine hours ( not the one which was 75$ for I don't know how much time!!!) which was enough time to enjoy the beautiful downtown streets on foot.

Good service and price, it was clean and had free parking. It was very comfortable, we felt at home! They were very nice to my baby puppy, even gave him a cookie; this was a big plus for us.

The overall feeling of this hotel is good! Its location is good for visiting Tulane University.

The Alder was a neat hotel that checked all of our boxes for an overnight stay in New Orleans. We walked the area and found drinks and dining nearby. Parking was a great value! We thought our accommodations were very nice for the price. We would stay again!

Furniture in the rooms is a bit worn. Would like heavier blanket/duvet on the beds.

The plates were too large for the microwave, the laundry facility needed routine maintenance on the dryers.

Location was perfect. Didn't want to be in the center of noisy tourist area but close enough to be able to enjoy tourist sites. Also the area was safe and quiet so we could rest after being out all day. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

The only downside was shower leaked water into the floor by the toilet. Also the coffee kurig didn't work- spit coffee grounds and hot water all over the table. But all else was good.

The room was a good size with 2 queen size beds. There was plenty of room for two peoples luggage and personal items. Then bathroom was very bright and the shower was fantastic. PARKING!!!!! The feral chickens!!!

I didnt like the fact that there were no smaller plates to fit in the microwave. Other than that, there was nothing else. This hotel was great.

Loved how relaxed the vibe of the hotel was. Check in was very simple and the staff was nice. The view wasn't anything special but the room was very clean and comfortable. The location was great and easily accessible. Also, I loved that there was free parking just across the street!

Bit far out from bourbon St. Downtown area 4 miles i think We had a rental because it was the end of a road trip we had been doing for past 3 weeks only for that you be stuck cost you a fortune on taxis otherwise. Shady enough area around the hotel but police present a lot.

A wonderful hotel in a great location of New Orleans close to restaurants, cafes and the Garden District. The room was big and comfortable, all clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Would be great to have some breakfast option.

There was no breakfast offered. However, dining room & tv lounge area was very clean. Free coffee was available around the clock which was great. The location is ideal. It puts you 1 block away from New Orleans lifestyle & easy access to everything. The Gris Gris restaurant was an excellent recommendation by our Uber driver.

Marlene and Dominique...these two ladies set the tone of my stay. From assisting with checking in, to local dining etc. Housekeepers did an excellent job daily. The room was spacious with a sofa & reading chair, walk in shower and balcony. Located in an area that's walkable to get some exercise. Oh, free parking as well.

Great location of the hotel in a safe and quiet area, bus stop in short walking distance, super friendly staff, spacious room and beds, very clean and the safe inside the room for free. Actually, there IS a pool, even though it doesn't say in the description. So, sadly, we didn't bring swimming attire :-(

Deducted points for • loose charging plugs (the cable keeps coming out, so the device wouldn't charge) • door of shower wouldn't close properly, so water floods into the bathroom • no chairs on the balcony • no water kettle to boil water for tea
