Alder Hotel, New Orleans

Nice clean and comfortable rooms .

Bit far out from bourbon St. Downtown area 4 miles i think We had a rental because it was the end of a road trip we had been doing for past 3 weeks only for that you be stuck cost you a fortune on taxis otherwise. Shady enough area around the hotel but police present a lot.

A wonderful hotel in a great location of New Orleans close to restaurants, cafes and the Garden District. The room was big and comfortable, all clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Would be great to have some breakfast option.

There was no breakfast offered. However, dining room & tv lounge area was very clean. Free coffee was available around the clock which was great. The location is ideal. It puts you 1 block away from New Orleans lifestyle & easy access to everything. The Gris Gris restaurant was an excellent recommendation by our Uber driver.

Marlene and Dominique...these two ladies set the tone of my stay. From assisting with checking in, to local dining etc. Housekeepers did an excellent job daily. The room was spacious with a sofa & reading chair, walk in shower and balcony. Located in an area that's walkable to get some exercise. Oh, free parking as well.

I had no complaints.

Great location of the hotel in a safe and quiet area, bus stop in short walking distance, super friendly staff, spacious room and beds, very clean and the safe inside the room for free. Actually, there IS a pool, even though it doesn't say in the description. So, sadly, we didn't bring swimming attire :-(

Deducted points for • loose charging plugs (the cable keeps coming out, so the device wouldn't charge) • door of shower wouldn't close properly, so water floods into the bathroom • no chairs on the balcony • no water kettle to boil water for tea

A complimentary breakfast and a fitness area would have made the stay better.

Room very clean and big. There is a free parking lot and the aria is very close to the main City attractions.

ALL STAFF Was extremely helpful. they had refrigerated items that you could purchase 24 hours. Location was good.

We booked several months in advance for two king room and when we booked they where pretty will opened in the booking area but we where given rooms on different floors. and said that they couldn't get two rooms near each other .

The room was well furnished and contained everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The furnishings were modern contemporary with a King Size bed, small sofa, coffee table and wall mounted flat screen TV. In addition, there was a coffee maker, small fridge, micro range, iron and ironing board. There was free parking, and the location was within walking distance to a variety cafe's and restaurants on nearby Freret Street. The guest staff was friendly and helpful. There was even a courtyard sitting area with an outdoor pool.

A small wall mounted mirror would've been a nice addition to help with my daily shaving routine. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

The room was very spacious for the price that I paid; good value. I appreciated the cleanliness of everything, this made for a comfortable night's rest. Having free parking on site was very helpful!

I did not stay long enough to take note of many opportunities. My stay was good and I'd likely stay at the Alder again.

Pleasantly surprised with our stay. We didn't know what to expect when reserving a room but when we checked-in we were very happy with our choice. We got the top floor as requested and the room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was large, which is becoming rare with newer hotels. I also enjoyed the architectural theme and interior design - very cool indeed - and the staff was very professional, pleasant and helpful. Parking is also free, which is a HUGH plus when staying in N.O. I would stay again when back in New Orleans.

The only downside was no breakfast offered with stay. Not a big deal if already known prior to your stay but there is a food market just down the street that's great for food and drinks to leave in the room and refrigerator.

The rooms are very spacious including the bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice & quiet area with free parking! I would definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

The hallway had a kinda sour smell. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was low but the shower was fine with good water pressure. Nothing Major!

Clean and well aired room with a pantry (fridge, microwave coffee machine, crockery and cutlery). The front desk staff were very cheerful.

It was very clean, and recently remodeled. The room was very nice, the bed was really comfortable and the balcony overlooks the parking area which was convenient. Great price, and FREE PARKING.

It’s a few miles from the French Quarter, lots of construction along the way, but worth the 7 minute drive! I was hoping to walk to the Superdome, but it’s not really walkable. That’s on me, I should have better researched the route. Overall, everything was excellent! I highly recommend.

The room was nice and very clean. Comfortable bed, nice view from balcony. AC worked. Good hot water. All the things anyone would usually need in a hotel.

Parking across the street. Small refrigerator, no freezer. I always look for a place that claims to have kitchen facilities because that usually means they have a good-sized refrigerator and freezer. This one didn't. However, the people at the front desk took my ice packs and kept them frozen in a freezer downstairs, so it worked out OK.

This is our 2nd time staying here at the Alder Hotel and we truly enjoyed everything about it! We absolutely love it! We get a king balcony room. The staff is amazing! It's close to some fantastic restaurants, within walking distance. It's always clean! The pool is also clean. We definitely recommend it!!!! It's updated. Big walk-in shower! The water gets really hot! Kurege for coffee/tea! Desk area! Mini fridge and microwave. Plenty of areas to plug things in and charge whatever you may need to charge (phone, laptop, etc). Comfortable bed and pillows. No bed bugs!!! Or any other bugs for that matter!!!! There's a safe to lock valuables in in the room! Big flatscreen TV. The AC works great! It's perfect!!! Oh, and parking is included. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
