Hotel Mandarin Oriental, Miami

Everything! Is great and incredibly satisfying!!! Sadly this locations gonna be out for 5 years…

Door man broke our rental car interior but super manager helped us deal with the issue with outstanding service.

the hotel lives on its past grace. it is ok but not ideal for a traveller used to real Luxury.

The hotel is being torn down in a couple of months apparently and the facilities are in bad shape. As an example: the fitness center was closed for a sales center for the new building and is now basically 4 hotel rooms with random equipment. Some staff are great but you definitely get the sense that many of them have already checked out. Definitely not a premium, 5 star experience. Tons of better options in Miami.

One of the premier hotels in Miami. Amazing views of Brickell and is perfectly situated in the Brickell Key. Love the pool and all the ametities of the hotel.

Not The same standard as Mandarin Oriental in other places like Bangkok.

Amazing location and views of Brickell and the Bay. Aside from the miscommunication in the beginning of the stay, the rest of the visit was great.

There was a mix-up and miscommunication by the front desk staff about our check in time, which resulted in a longer wait than expected. The front desk staff also miscommunicated about bringing up our luggage, and I had to go back to the lobby to sort out when it would be brought up to our room.

Location is great. We had an excellent welcoming by the staff. The front desk lady, who we guessed was from Ukraine or Russia based on her accent, was very professional and cared about us. She upgraded us to a Junior Suite. The room had a broad view of downtown Miami with partial water view as well.

Sink was clogged unfortunately. We ordered room service but did not receive waters as we requested.

Friendly staff and great first impressions (and smell) as you would expect in a MO hotel. Room was great, fresh, clean comfy bed and lovely sheets, plus great shower and amenities, oh and fantastic view!

The fitness facility is three empty hotel rooms with equipment. There is a large opening between the bedroom and the bathroom. There must've been something covering it at some point. . . The pool is inadequate for a hotel this size.

Front Desk Servicie and hotel location; restaurant & MO Bar. Also, I was pleased with a courtesy room upgrade because of my Anniversary celebration.

Location was great! Skyline view suite was very spacious. Room service was excellent, served hot and with fantastic service.

Lumpy pillows, you have to pay for WiFi and the bottled water in the room is impossible to open. Bathroom was dated and the blinds that separate the bedroom from the bathroom seemed like an after thought.

Mandarin Oriental is too transactional of a place. Good value for the owners but not for the customers. Not even coffee tea machines in the room !!! At the lobby even the complementary coffee is the lousiest in quality. Put espresso machines and have coffee instead of mud water they offer. At the bar 2 espresso we had for 20 Dollars. What a rip off. Wi fi not free. That is a BS. WILL never stay there again.

The room was a very decent size, the bed was great and the blackout worked wonderful. The location is also very good, with great water views.

The hotel was a bit run down, the bathroom was poorly stockee with toiletries and the staff was not very atttentive. Also they charged $55 for overnight Valet and for Wifi if you were not part of their Friends of mandarin Club.

Location is good. All staff is nice, especially the guys in the pool area. Pool is small but very well kept and enjoyable. Rooms very clean, fixed twice a day very nicely. Great sized balcony. We enjoyed sitting out in the evening overlooking the Miami skyline. Overall I recommend and in fact will be back soon.

Beds are a bit small. I was hoping for sizes closer to queen to accommodate two adults more comfortably. Structure a bit aging.

We had a bay view room and it was breathtaking.

The bed felt like you were sleeping on a plank.

The hotel was well appointed and the staff very attentive. The food was above average but not spectacular.

A convention group took over the hotel common areas. Outside team building event building bicycles complete with microphone booming inspirational music and team leader was placed within feet of the pool area. I was unable to enjoy the pool. The next night, 100 people descended on the lobby bar for an hour juicing themselves up prior to taking busses to their offsite dinner. They drank as if there were no tomorrow. The bar was completely overrun. I was unable to enjoy myself. The hotel should have required the use of a function room with a private barkeep.

The hotel its run down its not worth what you pay for. Beds are hard like a rock. Its a $300 a night max.

Best location to stay in Miami as close to city but being on Brickell Key Island you feel removed from the hussle and bussel of downtown Miami . Loves the walking path around the hotel each morning . Rooms great size , beds very comfortable, gorgeous views. Great buffet breakfast and nice bar for evening drinks and snacks . Staff accommodating and generally friendly as usual some better than others .

The pool temperature was extremely warm ; not refreshing at all . Did not use as too hot felt like a warm bath . Pity as it was hot and would have been good to cool off . The hotel boasts a private beach but you can’t swim there as it drops to the Ocean , however it was a better spot to sunbake than around the very crowded pool area and there was a nice breeze which made it more tolerable than lying around a pool that was too hot to swim in .

lounge bar food was terrible, cold, and late. arrived at 5pm and room not ready. for 45 minutes. unacceptable. room not clean, hair on floor and in bathroom.

The location is fantastic. It provides a bit of exclusivity being on Brickell Key but still incredibly close to downtown. The room is well equipped an spacious and tastefully designed, and I had a bay view which was fantastic. The food is terrific at La Mar and at the Pool Cafe.

The fitness center needs an upgrade for a five-star property. In addition, folks should know that if they are headed there in peak season, the pool area is somewhat tight compared to other five star hotels in the same area.

The overall quality of the room we stayed was great with a few minor issues: - The bathroom sink was draining really slowly; - The wine refrigerator (?) made lots of noises so we had to turn it off; - The room we stayed wasn't much sound proof that we could hear sounds from the room next door;
