Hotel Croydon, Miami

Location was very good, right next to the beach. ALL the staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was ok and confortable. Breakfast was very basic, awful coffee- but this is what you get in the US.

I loved that the pool was open until late, and you were able to order food from the Tavern. It gave us time to enjoy the beach during the day and the pool at night

Very good location just 100m from the beach. Bus stop, grocery store or few restaurants nearby. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Good variety of breakfest and meals at the hotel restaurant.

Restaurant opens at 8am, so it does not make sense to book room with breakfest included in the room rate, if you are leaving earlier for sightseeing or airport. Also there is limited offer for breakfest included in room rate vs full breakfest menu.Personnel could be more knowledgeable about Miami attractions and how to help tourists with some recommendations.

Breakfast was nice, the hotel was a good proximity to the beach, the rooftop was ace and the staff were friendly and attentive.

There was no balcony and the windows didn’t open. The lighting in the room wasn’t great for doing skincare or makeup.

Happy hour .. too short I was 5 min late and wasn’t given our complimentary cocktails and the coffee hour same thing.. I think customer service is so critical and some grace should be granted if you’re a few min late..

I wanted to extend my stay, the staff said that they would get the manager to contact me next morning however none of that happened. I then checked out and moved to another hotel. The instruction on the tap on how to get hot water in the shower seemed ambiguous but once i figured it out, it was fine. Not great seaviews from the room i booked.

Comfy beds, 1 block from beach, pretty convenient location, cheap-ish parking garage nearby, free towels and beach chairs provided, small "gym" area on roof. Great value for money.

No parking, "gym" area is a little small, quality of beach chairs and towels provided can be improved. But for the price, can't complain too much.

Location is amazing - the hotel is located 2 mins walk from a lovely beach. There is a cozy swimming pool and also a rooftop terrace. Conveniently there is a restaurant right in the hotel. They offer fresh cucumber water in the lobby, and also morning coffee and happy hour drinks. The room had a very comfy bed and also a fridge.

The AC was old, big and very noisy. It was impossible to sleep with it on at night due to high noise. In Miami it was very hot so without AC in the room it is really hard. The hotel is a 4-Staravoitava one but AC is really outdated. Also shower curtains looked overused and old. Water pressure was low. Elevators took over 5 minutes each time to come. Also, although the staff was smiling, I didn’t feel they were genuinely warm. There was some attitude, that’s for sure. Maybe this is common for Miami…

Way overcrowded at the pool made it impossible to enjoy, restaurant not great, tons of families with kids created a specific “ambiance”

Great location 3 mins from beach with 2 big double beds and air-conditioning. Low key live music in the bar, good drink selection and tasty breakfast options. Nice pool area and an authentic old colonial-style non-corporate feel to the whole building. What a bargain find!

Gym equipment on the terrace is rusty and hardly worth using. Some peculiar odor in the Lift which was a bit off-putting.. wash basin has no counter space making it a bit inconvenient.

The staff was amazing and let us check in early without paying a fee. They had the room ready as soon as we arrived. The free Happy Hour was real nice! The pool and the rooftop sitting areas were amazing. The location was close to the beach!

The price of the drinks before and after happy hour were pretty high. However, it was Miami, so the price is a little understanding.

Great location in a quiet area, kind and smiling staff.

The bathroom floor got wet everytime we showered, due to a design flaw. Wifi and elevators were slow.

They did a lovely surprise in our room for my moms birthday.

Cute boutique hotel that is a good value. Nice pool area and rooftop deck. Rooms are good sized for this type of building and well furnished. I had a room on the inside "L" overlooking the pool and it was quiet. Convenient for buses up and down Miami Beach and the airport too.

Needed a new mattress - kind of squishy. Housekeeping missed a day too.

Our room was on the floor with the little gym. Was really cute to wake up and cycle. Could see the water from the roof and the pool.

The elevator took 50 years every time we wanted to use it. Stairs were faster.

Perfect location, close to the beach and the creek and the Miami free shuttle bus to Miami Beach Downtown directly in front of the hotel. Staff was always very friendly and the restaurant inside the hotel has lots of tasty food for a fair price (for Miami). The rooftops have an amazing view where we enjoyed the free cocktails during happy hour.

The hotel was great - quiet location and close to public transportation. Pool and rooftop were great - just wish there was an indoor gym but appreciated the cute outdoor set up just couldn't use it when it was raining .

Bed comfort - need firmer mattresses as these feel like you're sleeping on a beanbag / bag of rice. Upgrade linens. Provide robes. Upset stomach in the middle of the night and no kettle to make tea (neither in room, nor at front desk.

We loved the proximity to the beach and it was a quick cycle to get to south beach. The free happy hour was great too. Overall a really great location!

Location was excellent. It was quiet, safe, and very well kept. I loved having a restaurant right below us and we were a block from the beach. Beautiful view from the rooftop. If you want a buzzing atmosphere, go farther south to Hotel Chelsea.

The staff was very friendly. On the last day of our stay we were allowed to leave our bags in their storage room. We were able to enjoy a few more hours on the beach. The hotel has happy hours for free drinks, these are regular drinks- cokes with rum etc. We were quite surprised but only took advantage once. The hotel has a nice roof top, you can find a small gym upstairs. It's a short walk to the beach. The hotel will lend you beach towels. Our stay was great.

Our room was not cleaned after the first or second night- the trash wasn't taken put and the beds weren't made... but it did not impact our stay in any way.

It is a shame for a 5 star hotel not to have a basic coffee maker in the room , provide complementary water ( they did when I asked ) the guy at reception did not offer to help my wife with her bags to the room ( I was parking the car )

Location was great, peaceful in mid-beach but only a few mins walk from the beach and there are plenty of restaurants, shops and bars nearby. Beds were super comfy, cleaning standards were excellent and it was nice having a fridge in the room. We were left some bottles of fizz as a welcome gift which was a nice touch. The Tavern restaurant downstairs is handy for a quick coffee or breakfast. Service at the front desk was pleasant and helpful and I liked that you could borrow towels for the beach. Overall the hotel has a unique, cosy, informal and friendly vibe and we enjoyed our stay.

The room smelt and felt damp throughout the stay which was quite unpleasant. The large French windows in the room were locked, it would have been good to air the room regularly to improve the damp conditions. The fridge in the room intermittently made quite loud buzzing noises at night which was annoying to start with but we got used to it. The lifts can be very slow to arrive, particularly if one is out of order, but as we were on the 3rd floor, we'd take the stairs if the wait was too long.

Staff was friendly. Free happy hour was a plus. In a nice quiet area a block away from the beach and far enough away from the hustle and bustle of south beach

The hotel was a bit far away from the Centre. The pool area was very small. Closet door in the room hanging by one hinge only.

Overall nice stay, disappointed with parking. Ended up costing us 50 to park 24 hours. Also requested a recliner for my elderly sister with breathing issues. Site replied yes they could accommodate but they couldn’t once we arrived.
