Hotel Croydon, Miami

🇲🇾 Family living abroad. I selected this hotel because I have traveled to Miami numerous times but had never had the opportunity to stay at Mid Beach. My booking was influenced by a variety of reviews, and I can confidently say it surpassed my expectations. Location: Situated on 38th Street, the hotel is less than a minute’s walk to the bus stops for both the south and north routes. The area is peaceful, perfect for those who prefer a quieter environment. It’s just a minute’s walk to the beach and a three-minute stroll to CVS and a convenience store. Additionally, the hotel has an excellent tavern restaurant attached (which comes highly recommended!). Experience: Upon arrival, the check-in process was efficient, taking under 10 minutes. I received my room key quickly, and the hotel had a fresh and clean scent—something I truly appreciated after a long 15-hour flight from the Middle East. We are a family of four: two adults, one child (8 years old), and one infant. The room was spacious and tidy, accommodating our two large duffel bags, two carry-on bags, one baby stroller, and one car seat, with plenty of space to move around comfortably. The two queen beds were more than sufficient for our needs, and the mattresses were incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was well-maintained, with good water pressure and temperature. The room was equipped with an iron and ironing board, a safe, a fridge, and extra blankets and pillows in the wardrobe. The only item missing was a hot water kettle, but it was delivered within five minutes of my request, and it was pristine with no hard water stains (we used it to prepare the baby’s milk). Our stay was delightful, with room cleaning provided every other day upon request. On our last day, as our flight was in the evening, I spoke with staff members Carlos and Zaer to inquire about a late checkout. Understanding their checkout policy, I was pleased to receive approval for a late departure without any hesitation.

Lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, great location with beach a few hundred meters away. Great view from a roof terrace, that had a choice of chairs, sofas and water with ice for anyone who wanted to chill out there in quiet.

Great hotel. nice smell. Great staff. Great restaurant. Able to take own booze to the pool and meet friends from town there. Overall Great and we want to come back

Loved the dinner, service and atmosphere. The rooms were stylish amd luxurious. The whole place had a cool relaxed vibe but was very funky as well.

Very clean and amazing staff

Most comfortable bed you will ever sleep on. Happy free hour ( only choice is from 4 spirits) Helpful and friendly staff. Restaurant attached to the hotel severed great food and was always busy. Beach is less than 100 meters away. Pool was great, busy late afternoon/early evening. Great value for money

Nothing Others may think it’s a distance to south beach , but there is a a free loop tram outside hotel ( jump on this )

What didn’t I like, everything was wonderful , great location, friendly staff, the tavern. Special thankyou to Carlos the manager who was so so nice. He let me use the room until 4pm on my day of check out, which was great as I had a late flight I would definitely stay here again and would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone

Beautiful hotel and perfect location, right by the beach and just close enough to get to south beach in 5/10 minutes but far enough away to relax and enjoy. Loved the pool and the free daily happy hour! Loved the rooftops and the super comfy beds

The location of the hotel was perfect. Close to the beach, restaurants, shopping and cafes.

The room was clean and roomy, but it had a strange, musty smell. Cold use some airing out and candle scent to take away the musty smell.

This hotel was clean and good proximity from the beach, which was across the street. The rooms were updated and clean.

The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. They appeared to be genuinely concerned with our experience at their facility.

My only issue with our stay was the mattress we had was lopsided so i felt like i was kind of rolling off the bed. I didn't let the staff know, but should have. I'm sure they would have changed out the mattress.

Me and my mom came to this hotel to celebrate my birthday and we loved we got first class treatment all the way, the cleanliness of the hotel, and the check-in process! The front desk offered us services to help with our bags which is a plus! Once we got to our room it was clean and decorated for my birthday which was a very sweet touch and the highlight of my stay! Everything worked in the room and we had a very nice view of the beach and the beds were very comfortable!

Loved everything about the property

Newly renovated, trendy design of the lobby and very decent rooms. I liked that hotel wasn’t big, so had more personal homey feel to it. The reception stuff was exceptional, they went above and beyond with care and attending to our needs and definitely were a big part of our very positive experience. We enjoyed the pool and pool area, also not big but very comfortable and pretty. Beds were comfy and room was spacious.

Hotel’s restaurant had mediocre food and the most slow service I’ve had in a while. Tried them twice, second time only for convenience, since it was the easiest with 2 kids and not many choices to pick in the neighborhood, but wouldn’t comeback again.

Very clean and tidy. Massive beds. Good pool and short walk to beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good vibe to the place.

A little bit stuck between North Beach or South Beach, but very close to free busses to either. Take one to South Beach, buzzing place.

Staff were superb 👌 very helpful and friendly. Jonny at the bar for happy hour was amazing. It was a great conversation. Deffinetly made us feel welcome. Rooms were modern, and the bed was so comfortable that I slept like a baby. There is a rooftop area, the swimming pool was small but so nice. The hotel is 2 min away from the beach. My parents love the food here 😋

Nothing will definitely come back here in the future.

Highlights: location, the staff, the restaurant.

The fact that there was no parking in the building. The nearest public parking (for overnight) is at least 5 blocks away. There could be also chairs/umbrella sets at the beach and coffee machine inside the room.

The pool was very nice and clean. There was a good happy hour at the tavern. Provided clean beach/pool towels as well. Perfect location, one block to beach.

The only thing I was not a fan of was their toiletries.

The shower in our room leaked heavily onto the flooring Room 328 (?). May want to investigate that before the water damage becomes an issue.

I love a good and comfortable bed…they got them! Location, easy access to the beach and public transportation. Sarai and the rest of the staff was very helpful and polite. Good stay. I do recommend this hotel!

Everything was great!

Although we were not very lucky with the location of the room, this did not spoil the overall impression of the hotel. Just wonderful staff, very clean rooms, towels and so on. The staff constantly monitored the order and cleanliness of the hotel, lobby and pool area. Another plus is that there is a cafe right on site, where it’s very tasty. I definitely recommend this hotel to you and will gladly stay there again next time!!!

It’s so comfortable, staff are awesome friendly and welcoming, Luis and Carlos ( I only had the pleasure of dealing with them)always making the experience great we will be back for sure this was our second time staying there and on our recommendation we had friends from Ireland and CA stay there this past weekend and they loved it too

The staff was amazing, helpful and friendly, especially Mr Carlos Lozano who was always making sure our stay there was a great experience. Mr Lozano had been accommodating us with an early check-in and a late check out and different other hotel needs we had during our stay. Many thanks and we will come back!

Location to the beach was wonderful.

Parking was expensive and hard when you have your own car. With Lyft or Uber it is fine. Not crazy about the restaurant breakfast.

The staff and the room was great. I only comment here in a few things I think should have been in the room and the things I didn't like, but they should easily fix.

We only had 1 trash bin. The swimming pool was quite small. The bed wasn't very firm. We didn't have coffee machine in the room. I didn't like the smell of the toiletry products, they had a lot of alcohol, which is bad for dry hair and dry skin.

Location was great! -- So close to the beach. The area felt safe and the property was well maintained. The decor was cute- a true small boutique hotel feel.

A few things really nit-picky things. 1- We found out that relatives we traveled with got a better price than we did so that was a bummer. 2- It was a bit loud at night (loud door shutting- not sure that could be helped). 3- A hostess at the restaurant was snippy with my daughter.

Beds very comfortable. Pools is great if your looking for shade. On-site restaurant nice selection. Beach very close.

Very limited TV channels give price of rooms. Room size is a little misleading, lots of wasted space.

The hotel was beautiful, super clean, staff was great, the location was great to go to the beach, bunch of hotels around, and some restaurants, a cvs within walk in distance, a little super market, I discovered on my second day

No coffee maker or microwave in the room, the pool was not big, only busted for a few minutes after the beach, the location again you will need a car to go to other places, Lincoln ave is about a half an hour walk is duable just keep in mind the heat!! There’s no garage or parking at the hotel either

Great location, near the bus stop and public parking! Less than 100 meters from the beach! The rooms were clean, spacious, and had a good-sized bathroom.

The mattress was soft, and they don't offer breakfast. You'll need to purchase it from the nearby restaurant.
