Love Crown - always a reliable stay

My most recent stay I was charged at reception on arrival as normal, however 6 days later we received another invoice to charge us for the full amount again as well as a soda, when we never opened the minibar to begin with and the drinks we did bring into the room, were ones we had purchased externally at the IGA across the road.

I feel it is probably overpriced & it only costs so much because of the name it has

When I did the pre checkout form and entered a leaving time the valet doesn't seem to be notified to have the car ready for same time.

That it was in crown making it easy to access everything within crown.

I think for the money we paid I expected the room to be a little more fancy.

The staff, location and the view at night time from your room is fantastic.

Being really picky here as it was a great stay. We’re both not a fan of squishy pillows, but there were others there in the room we could have used. We were only staying for one night so we didn’t bother changing them over, but if we were there longer, we would have requested them to be changed.

Great location, beautiful room and great view.

The bar fridge was too full and couldn’t store any other drinks. I am not a big fan of alcohol and soft drinks.

The bed was amazing.

Wish the movie were a bit cheaper,pillow need to be replaced.

The swimming pool was crowded, should have some dedicated lanes for swimming.

We were upgraded to the Crown Towers which was lovely

Crown Towers - Cleanliness of the bathroom and shower, mould in the bathroom. Hair in the shower. Disappointing for a 5 star hotel I had to call and request more towels- supplied enough for 3 yet four guests booked. Disappointed that for the cost of the room no TV streaming services or movies included for the children. We received these option in a lesser rated motel for free.

Check in staff had no interest in checking us in, in fact they completely ignored us.

We enjoyed the property. It was clean and the staff were friendly.

The swimming pool was smaller and busier than expected. Additionally, I had added a note in my reservation that we are coming to the hotel for our daughter’s birthday. We expexted a happy boirthday note or a small cupcake (which doesn’t cost that much) on our arrival. This request was a common one ( I believe that was the readon that in the booking page we were asked if we are attending for any special ocarion) and could make my daughter a very special one, but was not considered by the hotel.

Just the beds werent super comfy and pillows were so thin, they seem to deflate when stacked and we woke with sore necks. everything else was fab!

I’ve previously stayed at Crown Towers and think next time I will book the Towers over Metropol. The room seemed very dated and somewhat dirty in places (bathroom). The sink blocked up too and the shower body wash container was empty. This room stipulated a ‘coffee machine’ which there was no such thing. There was a kettle and coffee bags. The room description should be more accurate and specify ‘coffee/ tea making facilities’, not a ‘coffee machine’. The staff were nice and efficient and the pool was okay and very close to all Crown amenities. Good for kids.

We selected the Crown Metropol due to its location and good reviews we had seen. It lived up to our expectations.

The interior fit out of the room in regards to it’s fit has started to date.

Our room did not get tidied or cleaned, I assumed that room cleaning happened everyday at most hotels? It would be great if there was a good hotel bar option, the one where breakfast is served is ok but something with a nice view and bar snacks would be good.

Comfortable and spacious room. Close to a vast amount of entertainment and restaurants. Staff were exceptional and very professional.

No power points near the bed. Closest one was in the bathroom.

The room has frosted glass doors for the toilet and shower so could be awkward depending who you are sharing with.

Over priced, staff not helpful with gluten free options with room service. Also emailed about this no response. No response to a special anniversary request when emailed to ask.

Once again, great relaxing break, great complex, easy walking distance to not only CBD but South Melbourne market, parks, river walk. Hope to be back again soon.

Awesome location

Housekeeping every 3 days

Our bags were left at porter station when we checked in early we were told they would be in our room When we got back at the correct check in time they were not we called for them and was told they would be up straight away however 45 minutes later no sign of bags. I had to go down to the porters and ask for them! It was only then that they were bought to our room!

Liked the location as it was close to where we were going for dinner. Room was big and bed was huge and comfortable. Was easy to get to the casino.

There are a lot of light switches for different lights within the room Would be nice if the light switches for each area were together. The handle on the toilet door is loose. When you look out the window of the room it was facing a car park and other buildings and the blinds didn't fully close so let light came in when you are trying to sleep in the early morning.

Finding the place. I did so many turns and wrong turn trying to find the entrance. Especially if u have never driven to the place before it was so frustrating and I was in a lot of stress. I almost went home.

Clean and comfortable

Pool really bad full of kids jumping and splashing, screaming. Couldn't stay at the pool. They have set a time from 8-19pm for adults only, but that it's not always convenient, that a time when adults are usually having dinner or movies. Secondly: the power points on the bedside tables around under them, out of reach of older people or people with disabilities. Means you can't have the phone next to you when you are in bed sleeping, just in case. Thirdly: the shower doors open towards the inside, meaning if a person has a fall, or hearth attack and falls on the inside, it'll block the door from access to people on the outside to help.. Fourthly: if we book by 'booking.com' we can have free parking Appart from that it was clean and comfortable.
