Comfortable room and nice pool & other facilities

I had to ring guest services every day to get my room cleaned despite having the Blu light switch on. The 16th floor ( where my room was) had tissue like paper on the carpet near the lifts which were not vacuumed for the 3 nights we stayed.

Shower pressure wasn’t very strong. Also no power points next to the bed was annoying

Chlorine in the pool removed all colour from both my kids swimmers. I had to throw them out after visiting the crown and them swimming in the pool there

The pool was excellent for us, our children and grandchildren. We had a ball at the pool and the presence of Life Guards always instills great confidence in the running of a pool. The young lady Life Guard ( I apologise I don't remember her name but she has been there for 3 years and came from Irymple near Mildura) was such a professional at her job moving around and fully focused on ensuring everyone was safe and secure in or near the water.

I always like a cooler room than the airconditioning system offered but I survived. My wife didn't have an issue with the aircon.

Could not communicate with the cleaners. They didn’t understand what I was trying to tell them!

I love the fragrance of the building, gives a luxe atmosphere especially on arrival. The staff are great and we enjoy the location too.

It's lacking the Wow factor! Getting very tired. We have been staying at Metropol for years, and have noticed over time the stripped back comfort, from the extra pillows on the bed to the decorative cushions on the sofa and bed, no stationary, or magazines to relax and enjoy, the little touches that gave it a special feel. The breaky is over priced to the point we no longer have it anymore.

The location is great and everything within the vicinity is perfect, don’t even need to get out of the building. Love the convenience of this.

The room didn’t have Netflix or streaming option. And any movie offered required payment. No complimentary bottled water was offered in the hotel room. Everything else was perfect.

I couldn’t stream the connect my phone to the tv to stream my apps/youtube. I was told the tv didn’t have the software needed to connect my phone and watch it on the tv. Previously I never had that problem . Beside that , the stay was nice, no problems

Comfy bed, spacious room, lovely amenities, easy access to Southbank for dinner and our show. Ideal for what we wanted.

Pillows were too soft, it if that’s the worst I have to deal with so be it.

Location

The pool was a great size with great views. Easy access into crown facilities and close to trams for access into the CBD. The room was in very good condition and was very spacious.

The pool was overflowing with kids which made it harder to enjoy. Although it has great access to many of Melbourne's attractions it is a long walk if that's how you like to enjoy the city.

Room was spacious. Loved the full length windows, loads of natural light. The gym and pool were great as well. Overall good experience.

The view from our room was depressing, overlooked an overgrown parking lot. Also, the bathroom doors (glass doors for the shower and toilet) are translucent to the point where you can make our more than a silhouette. Not great when sharing with friends. Not a major problem, just that you can't use the vanity if your friend is taking a shower. The room service was meh. I specifically asked for enough robes for 3 adults, the booking was for 3 and during check-in I reminded front desk. Still had to wait for an hour to get one.

The shower was low pressure and small poor shower head, the room temp was too warm and didnt decrease even after putting dial down to 18 even after a day

Bathrooms could have been cleaner. Mould present in small areas. Extra pillows in the room would have been good. Activities for celebrations eg// Christmas carols/family Christmas activities would have been fun

To us the carpet in the room was clean and the lounge in the room seriously needs replacing. It’s lost its shape so looks ugly and quite stained. Also the room was too warm for us, changing the temp dial did nothing.

the bed was comfortable and the location was fantastic. The staff were so helpful, kind and caring.

The only thing was that the bathroom did not have a wall that completely closed off the bathroom from the main room, so that was not the best.

The hotel was in a perfect location .

Was not told breakfast was included, so provided our own We asked for an extra bed in the suite, and were given one, but the hotel staff did not make up the bed on day 2 they cleaned the main bedroom and the bathrooms, but not the extra bed.

The location, the gentlemen looking after our bags were great and then size of them room and beds.

The customer service at check in. Said room was available but wouldn’t let us check in without charging us, the pool was so strong it faded me daughters bathers after one swim and had all the girls with rashes and swollen eyes. The lifeguard on our last day was so rude and awful. Understood he has to keep everyone safe, but he was very rude and childish. Needs to remember how much money people are paying to stay there.

For a 4-5 day stay would be nice to have fresh towels, bins emptied etc Pillows are uncomfortable, with only 1 spare for a family of 4.

Pool Location

Hive Bar and Kitchen was a let down.

It was very ideal as we were using the convention centre over the week close to the DFO and the casino Loved it for the kids as there is a lot around

The bed mattress kept moving quite annoying, but otherwise can’t really fault the place

The customer service is always a cut above the rest, any request is handled with a smile. The bed was really comfy and it was very private.

The shower water pressure was horrible! also since the shower head wasn't adjustable, it took me 2 hours to wash my hair as it was very high and pointing in a inconvenient position so I ended up having to fill up glasses with water to use to wash out the product.

The waiting time to book in on arrival was poor. Checking in on new software not an option as not working correctly. Staff was friendly and helpful though reception appeared to be short staffed. Dirty serviett on floor in room. (not cleaned properly). Overall was good. Pool staff were great to meet and talk with and the pool was wonderful.

The staff were polite, room was very clean and super comfy bed.

Getting back from the casino late at night, tried ordering room service but unfortunately it was not available. I think being such a big complex you should have 24/7 room service.
