Hostel Equity Point, Marrakech

Lovely staff, beautiful facilities, clean and we enjoyed the restaurant 😊 Amazing price & we had a massage which was brilliant. Nicest hostel I’ve stayed in, thank you!

A bit tricky to find but no other complaints :)

very nice and spacious building, I loved being on the rooftop and the location is very good as well, stuff was helpful, lockers for each bed were nice

the vibe was more like a youth hostel with big groups of very young people and as a solo traveler it was hard to make connections as there is no main hang out space, also the beds were not comfortable, offering no privacy or space to put your stuff or load your phone, no kitchen to cook for yourself

The pool area, as well as the terrace are very nice! The female staff at the rooftop restautant were super friendly!

The 8-bed dorm ist quite small (compared to 4/6-bed); same size as them. The fuzzy blankets weren't very clean. They weren't and propably can't be washed.

Food was overprice at the restaurant

The staff here is really the highlight, they were very friendly and answered all of my questions. I was also able to book some tours with them for cheaper than online. The room itself was ok, as well as the surrounding area. The rooftop terrace is wonderful and the pool area as well, although I did not use it due to the weather. The main doors cannot be opened from the outside, only after knocking or ringing the bell does someone let you in, which is great for security. I also booked an airport transfer with them and someone escorted me to the hostel which was a great choice because I arrived quite late and the medina streets can be very confusing.

It would be great if there were female-only rooms available, as well as a kitchen for guests (there is a restaurant on the terrace so I guess it makes sense for them not to have a kitchen). The sound isolation isn't the greatest, you can hear people from other rooms and from the courtyard so bring earplugs.

The reason that I chose this place was that I also stayed there in December 2014 and nothing much has changed! It is still excellent, the rooms have a decent amount of space with good sized individual lockers, the bunk beds are made from solid wood (virtually no movement), and the en-suite bathrooms are great - overall very clean. Although I didn't use it, the pool is always clean and would be refreshing on a hot day. The breakfasts are good value with a decent range, however, the meals which I enjoyed were the tagines in the evening (other food available), especially with a bottle of Moroccan red wine (white and rose also available). There is a lovely rooftop sun terrace with loungers, this leads to the restaurant and bar. The location is great, as it's in the Medina and so near to Jemaa el-Fnaa, Koutoubia Mosque, and plenty of other places, plus buses to other parts of the city and the airport. The airport bus (number 19) is great, with a regular service connecting the airport and various points within Marrakech.

I can't think of anything which I didn't like, everything was spot on from what I remembered from 9 years ago!

The locations is great, the hostel is basic but good value for the money. The staff were excellent and helpful. It is a bit tricky to find the hostel through narrow alleys of Marrakech Medina, especially at night.

Staff were incredible here. The Bar/kitchen was also great quality, serving food until 11. They were very accommodating and friendly, in a great location central to the medina

Marrakech Medina itself is a bit sketchy, that's nothing to do with the hostel though.

The hostel has an appealing hotel- style from the courtyard and having the pool there is really cool. The bar and restaurant upstairs are stylish with a nice view of the town. The beds are comfortable, and the shared bath is clean. The staff are very informative about the medina and the general area.

It's really confusing to find the hostel unless someone will guide you there. I guess, that's expected because it's located in the medina.

Great place. Extremely clean, there’s enough space for socializing but also if you need to have some quiet time or read a book outside your room. 24 hour reception, good breakfast and restaurant open until 11pm. Peaceful space to rest from the caos outside. Definitely recommend.

We stayed on the ground floor, that can be a bit noisy as it is by the pool and that’s a social area with tables and sun loungers.

Amazing venue, great rooftop. Super nice staff. On-site restaurant is ~15% more expensive than outside, but easily accessible. Dedicated bed bugs procedure to prevent them from entering the hostel. Several wifi spots that are good enough for video calls, which is unusual in Morocco.

Historical building also means historical doors and dark rooms: the bathrooms are located in each dorm room and opening, closing and using them is very loud. Out of the 10 nights I spent there, roughly half of them had drunk guests coming around 3 or 4 in the morning, either checking in loud or chilling by the pool where their loud conversations echoed in every room. The dorm mattresses are a bit worn. Top bed bunks are not the easiest to access. Two thirds of the rooftop has no shade. The pool was too cold to be usable in December, in 10 days I saw it used by 4 people.

The inside is beautiful, rooms are clean, terrace is nice.

Location wise, it isn’t the best place to be at. It is difficult to find and a bit far from the taxi can drop you off.

The hostel is situated in the heart of the Medina and the souks. People were nice and helpful. The pool is a big asset.

I’ve found earplugs under the pillow. That makes me believe that the bedsheets aren’t changed after each guest.

Nice pool, good breakfast, nice rooftop with a bar that is lively in the evening but there are also quiet areas available if you want. Social and good for solo travellers

I’m about 95kg and on the top bunk so anytime I moved the beds moved a lot, and there could be more plugs beside the top bunk,

-Clean enough -Good location, but could do with better signposts to find -24 hour reception -Takes card payments

I was in an 8 bed dorm. But the showers are en suite, so there was only 1 shower to use for all people in the dorm. There were shared toilets in the courtyard but ideally there should also be some shared showers so not all people are waiting in the morning for the bathroom. Also. They charge deposit for the room key and charge 20 dirham to hire a towel which is a bit pathetic.

As a hotel it’s ok, as a hostel it’s amazing

super friendly staff, lovely roof top, refreshing pool in a great location.

I enjoyed the pool. The location was very close to the central. only about 10 minutes to the medina square. Pick up points for tours were just 10 minutes away. Most of the staff worked were very friendly and flexible. My flight was at 10.30pm so from 2pm to 6.30 i had nothing to do and a friendly staff member let me use the pool for few minutes with their spa shower. That was actually nice thing to do.

My check in was at 2 and I arrived like half hour to 45 minutes earlier. This person said the room and everything is ready but i cant go to the room and put my things until 2pm which was annoying because i dont understand why you cant give the room if its free and cleaned. So i had to wait for another 1 hr. They gave me a pool locker to keep my things till then. Breakfast you need to pay separately and if its passed the time you need to pay an additional fee. The pool is an excellent thing to have but the water was freezing cold.

Amazing riad. Comfortable beds. Clean. Great restaurant in the hostel, everything was really good. Strongly suggest to have dinner there.

Difficult to find the location.

hostel located at the heart of the medina with a quiet environment - not only is the pool super but also the common areas on 2/F & on the rooftop were amazing - beds were comfortable & and the shower (water pressure) was very good - a place for hanging clothes / towels on rooftop after swimming

the venue is beautiful with an amazing Moroccan decoration. The pool is great to disconnect of the noisy Medina.

We rented a private room, and it was very simple, nothing special. We have been in a cheaper Riad with better Rooms

Very friendly staff. Perfectly situated.

Beautiful building, clean, amazing rooftop terrace, friendly and informative staff.

(Minor points) Have to pay for some things via cash and some via card and would be good if bath mats for the shower were available.

Great spot, staff helpful, beautiful places to sit and rest. Had a nice Hammam in the hostel. Would go again

Doors were very noisy to woke a lot of people up when going to the toilet at night.
