Everything was perfect!

The room was very small and noisy. Despite double pane windows, the traffic on the main road was overwhelming.

The staff was excellent iand the amenities are great! Beach chairs, towels, surfboards WIFI.

Loved everything about this place. The property was well taken care of and in a great location, the room was comfortable, the staff was excellent, and food and drink options were delicious. The amenities were a nice touch as were the optional add ons. We had a great time surfing with Pete and would definitely recommend the surf lessons. Can’t wait to come back!

The location & staff are incredibly great!

The room is a little small, but cozy.

The property is pleasant enough. It’s clean minus the ants and has a nice California beach vibe. Our room was right off the parking lot so we had a lot of noise beyond just the highway. The roof deck is what makes the hotel.

It’s priced like a luxury hotel and delivers a comfortable place to stay in a good location. To be clear, the staff is really great, friendly and helpful. The hotel is just way overpriced for what it is. If you didn’t feel gauged by the price you would be extremely happy. 600+ a night for a ground floor double room is laughable. Thus the price to be in Malibu. I was there for work and wanted to be close to the venue so I didn’t have to rent a car. I should have rented a car and stayed further away. You’re charged with an amenities fee for their beach gear they have available, and they also charge you a 3% bed linens fee. One would think 600 a night could cover your linens and the beach gear. Ask for a damage deposit rather than asking your customer to pay for your beach chairs and surf boards.

We had a Seaview room and could watch the surfers while the sun went down from our balcony. The rooftop bar and restaurant was only available to guests which means you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to and the food + view was amazing. So many thoughtful touches.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and happy! We got engaged on Valentine's Day and when the staff found out they were super excited for us and gave us complimentary champagne! We even took ohotos on the beach with staff during their surfing break! Super fun!! Love the Surfrider; it was a jubilant and perfect weekend!! Thank you!

The property is absolutely beautiful and the location is great. An easy walk to both the pier and Malibu Country Mart. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are extremely small and get a lot of noise from the road. The space does not have a closet or anywhere to put your luggage which adds to the cramped feeling. Bugs were also a bit of an issue during our stay, we had several spiders, ants and beetles in the room. We were also a little confused at checkout when we were charged a $115 “amenity fee”, not sure what this fee was for/covered. There aren’t many amenities at this hotel so we were definitely caught off guard by that.

Not genuine friendly. Very laid back Also it was raining and they run out of umbrella ! For the amount we paid …. They also charged us for the use of WiFi extra on top of the room

Learning that parking was not an amenity included in the room rate was The premium 2 nd floor Ocean view room was placed just right for an incredible view but blocked by foliage. I brought along a small box of pastries to enjoy. I left the room to enjoy the rooftop after arriving for an hour. When back the bar top was covered in ant. Box of pastry total Loss. I asked for them to be evacuated and cleaned up and they did a great job of doing just that as well as throwing out the box of pastries that was full of ants that I had placed outside. What I would have expected was some kind of acknowledgment for my loss of pastries. Nothing was extended. Front desk was again very unclear to the complimentary SUP boards and tried to charge us for use. The property is a great location with a very likable load back Malibu vibe. Super comfortable beds and uber clean. All in all the services and ability to provide them does not match the room rate.

The rooms are modern and clean (and looks great). The rooftop experience with the view on the surfer beach is one of a kind experience and the restaurant extremely good. On top, the hotel offers many perks like in room complementary freshly brewed coffee, surf boards and other services. The staff is very professional and super friendly. We definitely recommend this hotel if you want to experience the Malibu surf vibe!

We had an amazing stay at the Surfrider. Everything was perfect, and the rooftop bar/restaurant was truly off the charts! This place has it all so don’t hesitate to book your stay at the Surfrider!

We loved the rooftop and the service. It was a great respite.

We would have loved a different room but we were late reserving. It wasn’t Surfrider fault, we were just next to the parking lot.

Incredibly scenic views with access to local beaches and restaurants. Wonderful private restaurant and bar on site with flexible service. Minutes away from local attractions.

Parking is tight.

What a gem! On the water with that heavenly roof top lounge! The decor, landscaping, and even the smell are so beautiful and restorative. Loved the roof top! Perfect place to perch at sunset with a cocktail and good food. Service is so superb they even made sure we always had a full water bottle in the room! It's also right across the street from Malibu Farms on the pier.

Traffic noise from PCH was the only downside.

One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at! The place is stunning, right in front of the beach. The rooms are beautiful with great details, the bed is comfy, the staff is friendly and helped us with anything we needed (kudos to Jordan!). There is also a great rooftop bar-restaurant with breathtaking views and the best food & drinks!

Since it's located on the Pacific Coast Hwy, there is some noise from the traffic but much less than we expected (they did a good job with the isolation). There is complimentary coffee, but no breakfast included.

The room smelled like Lavender or something so fresh and clean! The location is nice considering it’s across the street from the beach but otherwise it’s not worth it to be staying on the floor underneath the rooftop patio/bar/breakfast/lunch/dinner area

Again, room 15 is underneath the rooftop dinning area so you hear the walking and everything else between 6am-midnight, and if I were a surfer I wouldn’t sleep well here. Parking is anxiety provoking-parking is for guest and presumably one car per guest, but the lot is small (limited tiny parking spots) and not made for SUV’s and trucks so if too many guest have trucks or one has more than one car you could be screwed out of a spot -thankfully that didn’t happen to me but it’s possible.

Great vibe to the hotel. Well decorated rooms with lovely extras. The roof restaurant is wonderful. The food was delicious with great service and wonderful, friendly service. A very relaxing and enjoyable few days.
