Hotel NoMad, Los Angeles

Centrally located in downtown LA.

Hotel allows non guests from the neighborhood as well as other hotels to use the pool. Can be overcrowded Friday and Saturday. As a paying guest we found it difficult to find pool seating as well as food service. Servers tended to wait on large groups (non guests) first and would bypass us even with menus in our hands.

The location if you want to explore different areas of Los Angeles. The rooftop pool is a really big plus.

It's beautiful hotel, I can't say it's not. But it's not worth the price

For the paid price, I would have expected a bigger room or breakfast included at least.

On our second day we were told that the bars restaurants and pool would be closed the whole day!! So unfortunately , we were unable to use the hotel facilities for 24 hours of our stay . No refund offered !!

Pool area

We had to leave the hotel for full day during our stay, as they were filming promotional material. We had no access to pool, dining room. The purpose of our trip was relaxing around the pool, which we couldn’t do. Disappointed.

The bed and shower are perfect as well as the size of the room. The pool was nice as well as the drinks and restaurant.

The location of the hotel is near a lot of homeless people and far away from most tourist attractions. Staff should be more friendly, especially during checkout.

Downtown LA isn’t for everyone lol but we like it

Beautiful property with wonderfully friendly staff.

The room we were given was only ok. It was right next to the housekeeping closet so it was very noisy during the day. And the bathroom door squeaked horribly, which is a really easy fix and yet somehow housekeeping had not taken care of it. Our view was also of other rooms - we were close enough to just see right into other people’s rooms.

Room was really nice and something special. Restaurant highly recommendable.

High price for valet parking

Really quirky yet beautifully decorated room with awesome view out into the city. The rooftop pool is spectacular and worth the price of a stay on its own! Dodger stadium a 30 minute walk away - beat the traffic!

The rooftop bar was not open during the first afternoon I was there.

1) The restaurant in the hotel is really good. Very delicious. 2) The hotel is pretty overall, the room is fine. 3) Full-size mirror always a plus! 4) Pretty nice rooftop! Very cute to take pictures. 5) Greeting was nice. Welcome drink and lots of perks!

1) Small room. 2) Downtown location. I would prefer to stay in some other area closer to main attractions. But if you specifically looking for that area, it’s a good choice.

Every interaction with the staff was met with friendly smiles and a genuine desire to make my stay unforgettable.

The bar and restaurant are lovely. Staff in both were very friendly. Also the valet staff was friendly.

Our room was very small, cramped. Also, the upholstery on the loveseat was not clean. The hotel parking is really expensive, especially when you add in tips to the valets for retrieving your car to go anywhere. The rooftop bar closed early each of the three nights we were there. Perhaps because it was in February?

Fantastic hotel with the beautiful decor! The room was spacious and comfortable. The location is amazing with a metro station just 5 mins away. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I really recommend this hotel!

Decorated so beautifully and architecturally preserved with lots of care and style. The whole property exudes so much charm with quaint and quirky design surroundings. Lots of very good eateries and bars within walking distance.

the hotel staff was always welcoming and helping. the hotel amenities are well maintained and offer great value to the money you spend there.

Nice breakfast

Double the fees, I have paid tax but hotel colllect double, then after complaint they collect other fee which is not listed in the booking without explaination what the fee is.

Beautiful building steeped in history, room was spacious and high end facilities. Breakfast was amazing.

I love that the staff was so kind and accommodating. We were late to our dinner reservations at the hotel restaurant and the front desk called to notify it and we were able to still go to our Valentine’s Day dinner. They also gave us a credit towards our dinner and two little bottles of Prosecco. The rooms are beautiful and the beds and very comfortable. I loved the decor. Also very clean. I would love to stay here again

The only things I can think of is parking is a little tricky. Valet parking is best option bc we never found the self parking area. I also unplugged the bedside table on the right side of the bed bc it was making a high pitch noise

First of all the staff was nice and helpful. Not only at the front desk but also the waiters and waitresses at the restaurant and the guys operating the valet parking. Thank you for that, it made our stay nicer. Otherwise, the place is nicely decorated. The room was clean and accurately sized with a comfy bed and stylish bathroom. The bathtub is a big plus. The breakfast at the restaurant was also super tasty.

Additional taxes and fees are on top of the room price. Some of them you can spend at a hotel restaurant and bar. The location is LA downtown so not the nicest area, but once you get inside the hotel you will surely forget the street vibe.

The room was great, shower was spacious and had fabulous pressure. The bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed the rooftop bar and pool. Michael was an excellent, attentive server. Having 35$ food/ beverage voucher was good. The cafe had good coffee and pastries.

The strong odour in the entry/reception area. The ‘free dessert daily’ as part of resort fee was not good. We enquired and then received one dessert for the 2 of us. We were supposed to get free bottles of water, however, enquired three times and didn’t receive for 2 days.

The building is gorgeous. Rooms are very decent sized. Breakfast is good. Great design. The best was the staff though. I have stayed at dozens of properties in LA and in terms of service, Per La was BY FAR the best.

It’s Down Town. Nothing bad with it itself, but it is just far from the rest of the city. I took the chance since I stayed there during school holidays still. Traffic during normal days is even worse. Still, staying downtown has its charm. It is one of the few places in LA where you can walk places.

it was closed half of our stay because hotel rents the facility to events….. in my opinion it shouldn’t close for residents.

Hotel Perla is an absolutely gorgeous space, everywhere you look there are intricate details with a vintage charm. Our room was absolutely gorgeously decorated, every inch of the space was beautiful, the people were friendly, and it was a great location too!

There is a bathroom somewhere in the lobby close to the front desk, so there is a persistent humid smell of minty hand soap barely covering up the smell of people “dropping the kids off at the pool” if you know what I mean. If that weren’t the case the hotel would be absolutely perfect

Beautiful! The details and comfort was enjoyable. Staff were friendly and made our stay special. Many thanks to Jeff for the tour, and thanks to the valet team for the restaurant recommendations. We definitely recommend and would stay again.

Though we were on the 12 floor, (1203) we didn't have much of a city view, as was in the description. Our room faced a brick building, so there wasn't a view at all.

Beautifully styled and decorated. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was quite good (we tried the breakfast and lunch menus). An elevated experience all around.

There was quite a bit of noise from one of the clubs below on the weekend, though I’m sure that’s hard to avoid anywhere in DTLA.

Booked 4 rooms for a girls’ quick weekend road trip. Comfortable beds, great amenities, clean rooms. Staff are all friendly and accommodating. It’s in the thick of downtown so make sure you are familiar with what that entails before booking. For us the location was convenient. They were throwing a day party on the rooftop that Sunday we arrived so the pool was pretty full but we enjoyed the music. Overall we loved our stay and look forward to booking again.

Several different room types on each floor meant we couldn’t all reserve rooms near each other, but this wasn’t much of an issue.

This hotel is beautiful and in a great location - we were worried about the reputation that Downtown LA has but we found the area to be reasonably quiet but close to lots of great bars and restaurants. The rooms are beautiful, beds are comfy and there was even a jazz band playing on the rooftop at night - highly recommend!
