I frequent Venice and SM and this is my go to Hostel. Always Clean and Comfy.

Breakfast does start a bit to late in AM should start at 7AM

Great location, very good facilities in place including good kitchen and nice places to sit and relax

There is no Bed curtains which can be a problem if you want some more privacy

Location great close to the Beach and shops . Easy access to the metro and public bus

Perfect location - very close to the beach / Santa Monica Pier and shops. The breakfast was fine. Not a lot of options but enough variety like fruit, bagels and slices of bread.

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel! Everything was spotless, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the 3rd Street Promenade and the Santa Monica Pier. I also appreciated the free activities the hostel organizes, like walking tours and comedy nights. The Santa Monica to Venice Beach walk was a highlight of my trip. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

I wish the beds had privacy curtains.

The room was as described and was very clean. The bathrooms were also really clean and the shower facilities were good - plenty of space to put belongings. The staff were friendly and the location is perfect for Santa Monica Pier.

The breakfast was a bit lacking - bananas, cereal, bread/bagels and coffee. A wider fruit selection would be good and some more fillings for the bagels (rather than just spread cheese).

Lucky to have enjoyed the free breakfast during my two-week stay. Great presentation and healthy conscious in mind. The rooms were exceptionally clean. Except for some messy roomies. This no-profit hostel is one of a kind. It revolves around a sustainable environment. Its mission of spreading the love of travel and cultural exchange via scholarships is brilliant. Great volunteers. The hostal goes out of the way in proving wonderful activities for free. The entertainment team is exceptional.

The "saggy mattress" was not my favorite. Give yourself time for the body to adjust for longer stays. I was not tuned-in to a couple of comics during Comedy Night. A bit lewd. Some of the staff, at least a couple, could have been more helpful on directions and friendly.

Location was great, people and personal in general had the best disposition to help, good and cheap breakfast.

Want some place to visit I visited several times and it's always the same better, the staff was wrong and helpful the breakfast was great the ambiance was nice the rooms are nice and big and comfy .

Only thing that I dislike about the place that they were sold out when I wanted to come back!!

The overall environment of the accommodation is clean, and the location is safe. There are many public transportation nearby. Breakfast is provided and the service attitude and quality of the waiters are excellent.

Breakfast options are a bit limited，the socket on the bedside is a bit loose and sometimes it can't be charged.

Perfect location, friendly staff and pleasant environment. Shared spaces for working and chilling were really good. They were cleaning the place daily, bathrooms were clean. Good value for price, definitely recommend!

Staff were really friendly, the breakfast was good for what it was, toast and cereal. Location was good, down the street and across the road was the beach and Pier.

I loved this hostel! I have stayed in many hostels, and this one was by far the best one! It's two blocks away from the beach, and everything you could need is in walking distance. I really liked that there was a huge kitchen and a patio area. The staff were great!

The location was perfect, Santa Monica was my favourite area in LA

The lady on the breakfast was rude and had no patience for the guests, unfortunately. Apart from her everyone was super chill and friendly! I also wish the beds had some curtains to give a bit more privacy and block the light from the room.

Excellent location near the pier, close to bus stops and restaurants and promenade. Felt safe. Clean facility and secure building. Nice to have personal lockers inside the room. Great courtyard.

Room was very stuffy and windows weren't allowed to be opened. No curtains between bunks. Policy to strip your own bed is difficult while others are sleeping.

The location was perfect, the beach is right around the corner. I loved that breakfast was provided. The room was spacious and clean :)

Water pressure in one of the female bathrooms was quite weak, but it wasn't even that bad.

We stayed in the queen private room, I had a queen bed with bunk beds and a private bathroom. It was a comfortable bed, I slept well. The supplied toiletries were lovely too. The included breakfast had a great selection, we felt satisfied each morning. The location is fantastic, very close to everything you want. The pier is a very short walk, lots of restaurants and shops and even a supermarket. Public transport was also convenient, close to the big blue bus which will get you to and from LAX/LA for $1.25.... it takes about an hour, really great! They also have activities like movie nights and trivia, there is a sign to say what's on and when. I've already recommended this place to a few friends travelling to the USA as we really enjoyed our stay.

A little gem ! I checked the reviews before, and it was pretty positive, but I didnt expect that ! It’s the best Hostel I tried in my life! Perfect location, it’s very clean and super confortable ! The staff is very kind and helful, at any time. They also get me some bar names and good addresses, thank you so much. I took a car for the last 2 days and it was so easy to park, there are two parking, one just literally in front of the hostel and an other cheaper, 10min by walk, very easy to commute ! I will come back FOR SURE !

Wish to have a little extra for the breakfast, like eggs or some vegetables, but for a free breakfast it’s already very good ! Also, the schedule for BK is 7:30 to 9:30, I think they could extend it to 10:00am at least :)

Location, staff, acitivities, rooms, cleanliness, kitchen and common area size are fantastic. Amenities in the kitchen. Fantastic opprtunities to meet people.

A few homeless people always sitting in front of adjacent building but caused no harm to me or anybody while I was there.

Close to tourist areas, mall, metro, bus and beach. Modern and clean hostel with all the facilities you need. Friendly staff.

Breakfast was ok, coffee was acid and sometimes the person at reception asked me to show my card key on my return to the hostel. I even opened the front door with the card key the person at reception asked me to show her my card key.

A good Americaine breakfast was offered. I really liked the huge professional kitchen where you can make your own dishes and smoothies. The library is a nice place where one can work and have a quiet time. Very cosy and wonderful hostel design. I appreciate the fact that after check out one may stay in the lobby and use the kitchen. Very comfortable when you have a flight in the evening as in my case.

Find it hard to sleep as the beds were moving with a simple roommates movements. I accidently checked booking again for the night price and found that it was lowered by 10$ after getting the 48h confirmation of my booking.

Front desk clerk was so rude I’m handicapped he wouldn’t even help me with writing my name on a luggage tag to store my bag for $5 !

There are events almost every night to meet new person, also the kitchen is very well equipped, I also enjoyed the pool too.
