The bed was too small.

The bed was very small.

The rooms were well designed and well maintained

The rooms were noisy, you can hear everything : all noises outside in the hallway, who walks by due to squeaky old floors, to someone talking, closing and opening other room doors etc

You really cannot fault the comfort and ambience of the Charlotte Street Hotel, location wise it is also perfectly placed.

We were disappointed with the service in the bar and restaurant, the staff seemed preoccupied in cleaning than serving. Sunday evening 9.30 p.m there were more staff than guest, yet the staff seemed to be busy being allusive. After waiting 15 minutes I eventually caught the eye of a waiter and ask for two hot chocolates , the responce “sorry we can’t do hot drinks Sir because the machine has been cleaned”. The next morning wasn’t much better, it took so long to get served.

Loved the location and the hotel ambience. The staff were very helpful and friendly in the bar area.

Unfortunately, in one of the rooms the toilet was broken and it couldn't be fixed.

Not being able to go to the bar. Resident lounge cleaned for a wedding and told no tables in bar until 6:30. I’ve never been to a hotel where as a resident you can’t go to the bar!

Great location. Not the warmest of welcomes after a long journey from one checkin staff member, but the rest of the team were fantastic and really went out of their way to assist us. The concierge team were tremendous as were the bar staff. The location is so central and surrounded by lots of choice for bars and restaurants.

A warmer welcome as one team member can potentially ruin the experience of this magical boutique hotel

Our room was a good size and very comfortable. The interior design of the hotel/room was very impressive, like all the Firmdale hotels which are beautifully decorated - Kit Kemp style. Our bathroom was large enough and shower was great, towels thick and soft. The shampoo/conditioner/hand & body wash provided smell amazing. We asked for a quiet room at the back of the hotel and we didn't hear any noise from outside or in the hallway. The staff were really nice and very helpful. We had breakfast and there was plenty of choice (cooked, cereals, fresh fruit etc). We would definitely stay here again next time we are in London.

The service was excellent at the front desk, the concierge, the restaurant especially the new girl I don’t know her name but she is from Albania, the door man was also fabulous. We loved the dressing gowns super luxurious. Also the coffee was outstanding.

I didn’t like the fact there was not a plug for the hairdryer in the bathroom but then my friend told me in the uk you cannot have this anymore so it makes sense to me now.

Very comfortable room and great service. Bed was comfortable, even had comfortable pillows, which is usually a challenge for me. Breakfast was delicious. We've stayed at two Firmdale hotels now in London, liked them both. This one had a great location, walkable to many places.

The dining room can be noisy though they will allow guests to adjourn to a quieter room.

Location excellent, very quiet. Staff were fabulous, great attention to detail and lovely personal touches.

It would be nice to have tea & coffee making facilities in the room

Big and comfortable room. The hotel location is wonderful, quiet street with great restaurants near by. Just a short walk from Oxford St.,soho and the British museum. Staghf very friendly. Highly recommend!

It was in such a wonderful location with the friendliest staff! They offered the best of services and have the coolest bar! Everything about this hotel was warm and welcoming & had great facilities!

No kettle in the room & the shower was not hot… the temperature would mediate hot and cold…
