Teatro Boutique B&B Chiado, Lisbon

The room is kind of a trip, it was made to look like a theater with the bed being the stage. The room was very clean and had all the amenities you could want. The location is excellent being only a block and a half away from the metro station and in the heart of the Bairo Alto Historical district.

They had a lot of flyers to book tours but the front office staff said they couldn't help book any tours and I didn't know portuguese, but it was OK I just explored on my own. The mini bar prices are little high, but I guess that is normal for a mini bar.

Cosy hotel room. Nice area. Discreet and well insulated. Lovely.

Hot water took time to arrive. But this was OK. Was nice.

Hard to find the front door! Didn’t know about buzzing to get in. Sadly we had an inconsiderate guest above us making ridiculous noise and very loud voices between 130 and 230 so terrible sleep.

Gorgeous place to stay, we felt we were in a very special part of Lisboa.

Some of the staff were not very friendly, but mostly they were exceptionally helpful.

The location is excellent for sightseeing, with many restaurants nearby and great connections to all types of transportation. Suite 42 on the 4th floor is truly spacious.

The bathroom is covered in mirrors, some of which are broken in places. The glass screen on the bathtub cannot be moved, making it quite risky to get out of the tub.

Bathroom facilities below standard, being on floor SL - noisy from restaurants until 1am and no opening windows.

The junior deluxe suite was very comfortable with lots of light, windows and beautiful views of the city.

Very spacious. Bedroom bathroom and sitting room with breakfast counter.

Modern decor but a bit tired. Lots of glass and mirrors but unfortunately lots of cracks. Safe provided in the room did not work.

I liked the location since the hotel was near a lot of tourist sights and good restaurants. The bed was comfortable. We were able to sleep well.

The room had a funky design that made it hard to maneuver around the bed. I didn't like that we had to pay extra for a cup of coffee in the morning. Also, there were a few items that were broken like the sink handle and the curtain rod fell off.

Well situated, within walking distance of most monuments, sites, shopping and dining districts. Room was spacious with good closet space.

Next to theatre, where noisy crowds gather after the show, so bring earplugs. No services offered - no breakfast option (no dining room), no laundry service, front desk service only during daytime hours. In the room, it would be nice to have newer soap dispenser rather than cheap recycled plastic container, as well as shampoo and possibly conditioner, and perhaps a box of tissues. Cleaning service needs improvement: torn towels, dirty mirrors, lights that don't work, sink that doesn't drain. Bathroom door is 10-foot floor-to ceiling sliding glass door that gets stuck when shut (and is glass, so no privacy). Lots of little things give the impression of a tired old hotel that needs a refresh.

The facility is a little dated and could use some dredging.

Location was fantastic for exploring Lisbon. Tons of restaurants and shops within 10 minute walk. Great view with small balcony to people watch. Room was nice but small. Bed was comfortable.

Elevator is tiny and old( must close gates on both sides for it to work). It took a long time so we would take too many flights of stairs to room. Room was very small.

Location was excellent...right in the middle of all bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. The hotel room was very comfortable and luxurious.

There was only one bath towel in the bathroom between the two of us... No plug in the sink and no bath mat for the shower..

The location is incredible. It was an easy walk to everything that we wanted to do in the City center. The provision of nearby parking was exceptional.

The elevator is very small and somewhat unique but it got the job done without incident.

Location and young lady at desk was very helpful.

Very poorly managed hotel, don't be fooled, it's not a b&b. Many things broken upon arrival, most didn't get fixed in a 4 night stay. If they forget to give you towels the desk has no ability to get any for you. Management needs to give front desk people more ability to help guests get problems fixed quickly. I never have posted a negative review previously, it's not my style, but this is not well run, almost as if they do not want repeat clients.

The bathrooms were too exposed. I stayed with a friend and we needed to leave the room every time someone needed a shower because the doors were translucent and it felt very exposed.

The location is great, you can easily access all city sights. Rooms are very well designed, lots of mirrors and decoration. Windows provide good noise cancellation which is really important since hotel is located in the city center. Staff was always nice and helpful.

I was offered with airport transfer, which ended up being a huge disappointment - I paid 3x regular Uber Comfort rate to wait in the airport for >25 minutes and have communication issues with driver and manager (none of them could speak English). Rooms don't offer any dark curtains so you cannot hide from the sun starting early morning. I also tried using hotel's iron which was very old and almost destroyed my clothes.

There was a problem with a noisy AC unit and they immediately switched me to a larger better room at no extra charge. They dealt with it very satisfactorily. Otherwise, it was a great location, everything was clean and comfy. I'd stay there again without hesitation.
