Location was wonderful. Place was decorated beautifully.

Because they use dark, moody colors, it is a little dark in the place.

Location was great in Alfama and staff were so helpful especially Guilherme .We were upgraded and then upgraded again to a marvellous suite with extensive windows with views over the sea !-

Amazing breakfast. Great location near restaurants. Walking distance to shopping areas. Enjoyed going just across the street from the hotel to see sunrise. Last but not least, the hotel staff were wonderful, friendly, attentive, and full of advice and suggestions for how we could most enjoy our time in Lisbon.

I wished there was a fitness center. However the staff recommended a number of places nearby. Otherwise it was great.

Breakfast with a lot of great (and huge) options. Staff very kind and professional. Great hotel very well renovated right in the heart of Alfama. Great view from the upper rooms facing the river.

The Staff were the best I have ever met in any hotel. I was made to feel so welcome & cared for.

The toilet in the bathroom was very low - if I hadn’t worked with a Personal Trainer doing squats with 10k kettle bell I would have struggled to get up.

Everything. From the moment we arrived, Ruben and his colleague checked us in. Before we knew it, our baggage was already in our room, which they upgraded. This was a very nice touch for my wife's 60th birthday. We loved the hotel and its history, and the staff (all) were amazing. Thank you! A special thank you to Ruben and the Concierge Team, Martin - Thanks for showing us the extension of the hotel coming up in 4 years or so (please invite us to the opening :) and of course Bruno from the Bar for making our evenings special and memorable, especially for wife birthday. Very kind! Best Barman in Lisbon!

Great location and the staffs were really nice and helpful. The room was beautiful with comfortable bed, as well as big bathroom. It’s got everything that we needed. Also the breakfast was very good, good selection and delicious.

Because it is in the old town area so shops around closed quite soon. We brought our car and parked outside just in front of the hotel and we found some scratch. This upset us a bit but understandable as it is in public area.

Location was excellent. Hotel is clean and very comfortable. Staff were exceptional.

This hotel provided the most exceptional stay we have ever experienced. The facilities were outstanding, and the restaurant was one of the finest we’ve visited, offering both exquisite food and a warm, inviting atmosphere. However, the most remarkable aspect was the staff. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel at home with their incredible attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine warmth. Special mention to Alex, whose impeccable wine knowledge, fascinating stories, and personal attention made every dinner unforgettable. Denusha and Henrique also enhanced the dining experience with their kindness and flawless service. At breakfast, Wendy, Erika and Lucas brightened every morning with her care and cheerfulness. Also they have the BEST BREAKFAST IN EUROPE!!! The bar was another highlight, thanks to Manuel, who crafted perfect drinks and created a relaxing ambiance. Ps: Do not skip the chance to have dinner here, the chef is FANTASTIC! This hotel is the perfect combination of perfectionism and warmth, making it feel like a home away from home.

The location is outstanding. The staff is incredible and really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The food at the Audrey’s restaurant is outstanding. The property is very unique. The bathroom is huge. I’ve stayed at two different locations in Lisbon and this one is the best.

I didn’t have hot water in the shower. The staff immediately came up, but there was something wrong and it was never fixed. I was only there for two nights. This was an isolated incident, and not an overall reflection of the property.

Size, location,classy decor , large room, comfortable bed. in beautiful old building. Kind and responsive staff professionalism. Amenities excellent.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Santiago de Alfama. The rooms were beautiful, extremely clean and had clean linens every day. The hotel was located in a great location, was very quiet given it was right off a busy street.

Unfortnately, we had to leave for the airport at 6 AM so we did not experience breakfast. However, it would be wonderful no doubt about it. We had dinner and it was a 10/10!

Absolutely nothing could have been better except that we did not get to spend enough time there and wish we would have booked it a day or more longer.

From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left, the service levels were incredible - there was nothing the hotel staff wouldn't do to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. I would name some of the people but would not want to leave anyone out, but every member of each team we interacted with was exceptional, from cleaning, to guest services, to restaurant. The location is brilliant - we were right in the middle of the historic Alfama area, yet the hotel was an oasis of calm, and a joy to return to each day and evening. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It is not a cheap option, but the stay we had justified the expense and we will go back I'm sure.

That we couldn't stay longer than 3 nights. Other than that, the whole stay was fantastic.

This is a clean, beautiful, quiet property with great restaurant and awesome hot breakfast made to order in excellent location on a pretty little quiet square, right next to a main artery. My only hesitation in telling you this is not keeping the secret for myself!

The hotel was beautiful and even though located in a very tourist heavy area, it was tucked away and felt off the beaten track. The restaurant had a lovely outdoor seating area, and the food and service were excellent. The staff were very warm and welcoming, going out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We were even given a free upgrade! I would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

I have never been to Lisbon and booked this based on reviews knowing nothing about the area. What a surprise, it is an older small boutique hotel of excellent quality and condition. The only mark for a view is our view was of a beautiful vegetated courtyard instead of an ocean view. But what privacy and quite that offered. The service was fantastic, above expectations. We were given cheese and meat plates in the room before dinner, the food in the restaurant was fantastic, and the best part was being able to walk less than one block to the most desired view point in Lisbon, and close proximity to other things like St Joes Castle, walks, etc.

Beautiful old historical building that has been restored with great care and thought. Wonderful finishes and superb interior decoration.

The bar fridge in the room wasn't working but was quickly changed.
