Santiago de Alfama Boutique Hotel, Lisbon

This is a clean, beautiful, quiet property with great restaurant and awesome hot breakfast made to order in excellent location on a pretty little quiet square, right next to a main artery. My only hesitation in telling you this is not keeping the secret for myself!

Location was outstanding. Best breakfast! Bar is beautiful and cocktails well made. Dining at Audrey’s (hotel restaurant) was wonderful. We had the scallops.

Great room (402 Panoramic suite), great food and charming staff in a historic building (Roman roots!) that couldn’t be bettered for ambience and convenience of location between castle and cathedral.

Fantastic location in the old town. Beautiful building and decor, room was large and nicely decorated. Service was outstanding. Breakfast was very nice.

The property over all was fantastic. The staff and the breakfast were exceptional.

Did not love the location, but the location was still good.

The hotel was beautiful and even though located in a very tourist heavy area, it was tucked away and felt off the beaten track. The restaurant had a lovely outdoor seating area, and the food and service were excellent. The staff were very warm and welcoming, going out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We were even given a free upgrade! I would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

I have never been to Lisbon and booked this based on reviews knowing nothing about the area. What a surprise, it is an older small boutique hotel of excellent quality and condition. The only mark for a view is our view was of a beautiful vegetated courtyard instead of an ocean view. But what privacy and quite that offered. The service was fantastic, above expectations. We were given cheese and meat plates in the room before dinner, the food in the restaurant was fantastic, and the best part was being able to walk less than one block to the most desired view point in Lisbon, and close proximity to other things like St Joes Castle, walks, etc.

Beautiful historical building in a Fabulous location

Beautiful old historical building that has been restored with great care and thought. Wonderful finishes and superb interior decoration.

The bar fridge in the room wasn't working but was quickly changed.

It would be helpful to provide instructions for guests who need to arrive in a rental car because the access is controlled with a code.

Good location in the middle of Alfama, but still quiet. Very nice architecture and creative interior design. Excellent beds with soft top. Spacious bathroom. Exceptionally friendly and attentive staff, but in the restaurant a bit more skill training would take the experience to the next level

The Hotel itself was beautiful with a gorgeous lobby, bar and even the lobby bathrooms were lovely! Breakfasts were superb, the staff were all friendly and helpful. The room and large bed were very comfortable. Also great to have fresh water provided each day.

Only small thing was we had hoped to get a room with the colourful tiles .

The service was wonderful! From the reception to the restaurant. Perfect!

The rooms could be more updated, painted, and a better fan in the shower.

At breakfest there was too cold, in winter there were ac working despite heating. No heating at bathroom, large bathroom but very cold.

The best staff and location. I was proud of that my first stay in Lisbon was here. Will definitely recommend to my friends for their next stay.

In the breakfast, the staff offered the foods in the restaurant and did not realize that each cost separately. In total, our breakfast for 2 adults became 76EUR… the taste was okay, but could inform us in advance for the cost..

This is a wonderful place, in every aspect. But one thing stands out, most comfy bed ever! Fantastic place!

We booked a corner room as it was just the 2 of us but the room was more suited for a solo traveller with barely enough space to walk around the bottom of the bed and completely unable to sit at the dressing table. Also, there was only one seat in the room

The hotel is charming - really enjoyed our stay! The staff was outstanding, always willing to assist and answer questions about Lisbon and the surrounding area. The restaurants were wonderful - excellent staff and great food! We ate breakfasts and dinners at the hotel. Highly recommend!!

The location was great right on tram 28 stop. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The room was lovely with great views and very quiet. The breakfast was brilliant.

The breakfast was incredibly delicious with so many options. The service throughout our stay exceeded our expectations. The room was dark and quiet and beds so comfortable. Such beautiful and charming hotel.

We didn't mind the climb to get to the hotel, but some travelers should know that it is at the top of a hill coming from the city center.

Hotel was in an amazing location. In a gorgeous neighborhood and on a quiet street but right next to a popular viewpoint of the whole city and very close and walkable to the center of the city and tourist area. Room was spacious and very clean and gorgeous with lovely views. Shower was large, everything we needed was in the room. Hotel doors are locked at night for extra safety. Upon arrival the reception gave us an amazing map with walking routes and recommendations for eating, shopping, sites that were all fantastic. While doing so they transported our bags to our room so our bags were already in the room when we went up. They had turndown service, cleaning whenever we were out of the room. Just a perfect stay. We split our visit with another hotel and this one was far far better and if returning i would only stay here.

Good location, great staff, super clean and comfortable and a really comfortable bed. Very quiet room- you hear no noise at all. Great place to stay, highly recommend.

I liked everything!

The breakfast was absolutely delicious. I loved how the ingredients were such good quality, lots of amazing healthy options and we ate outside in such an atmospheric, pretty location. We were even served coffee with a key design in the milk for my husband and a heart for me. The key to my heart! The staff couldn't have been more helpful and gave us lots of ideas of places to see and go to and helped with restaurant reservations. Great location, a walk to lots of stunning landmarks.

Everything! It is beautiful, exceptionally clean, the staff couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. I can’t wait to go back. The location is also incredible, right in the middle of the most historic part of Lisbon.

We received a free Upgrade. City Center in walking distance. Very good breakfast. Silent rooms. View to river Tejo. Silent air condition.
