We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Santiago de Alfama. The rooms were beautiful, extremely clean and had clean linens every day. The hotel was located in a great location, was very quiet given it was right off a busy street.

Unfortnately, we had to leave for the airport at 6 AM so we did not experience breakfast. However, it would be wonderful no doubt about it. We had dinner and it was a 10/10!

Absolutely nothing could have been better except that we did not get to spend enough time there and wish we would have booked it a day or more longer.

From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left, the service levels were incredible - there was nothing the hotel staff wouldn't do to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. I would name some of the people but would not want to leave anyone out, but every member of each team we interacted with was exceptional, from cleaning, to guest services, to restaurant. The location is brilliant - we were right in the middle of the historic Alfama area, yet the hotel was an oasis of calm, and a joy to return to each day and evening. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It is not a cheap option, but the stay we had justified the expense and we will go back I'm sure.

That we couldn't stay longer than 3 nights. Other than that, the whole stay was fantastic.

This is a clean, beautiful, quiet property with great restaurant and awesome hot breakfast made to order in excellent location on a pretty little quiet square, right next to a main artery. My only hesitation in telling you this is not keeping the secret for myself!

The hotel was beautiful and even though located in a very tourist heavy area, it was tucked away and felt off the beaten track. The restaurant had a lovely outdoor seating area, and the food and service were excellent. The staff were very warm and welcoming, going out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We were even given a free upgrade! I would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

I have never been to Lisbon and booked this based on reviews knowing nothing about the area. What a surprise, it is an older small boutique hotel of excellent quality and condition. The only mark for a view is our view was of a beautiful vegetated courtyard instead of an ocean view. But what privacy and quite that offered. The service was fantastic, above expectations. We were given cheese and meat plates in the room before dinner, the food in the restaurant was fantastic, and the best part was being able to walk less than one block to the most desired view point in Lisbon, and close proximity to other things like St Joes Castle, walks, etc.

Beautiful old historical building that has been restored with great care and thought. Wonderful finishes and superb interior decoration.

The bar fridge in the room wasn't working but was quickly changed.

Good location in the middle of Alfama, but still quiet. Very nice architecture and creative interior design. Excellent beds with soft top. Spacious bathroom. Exceptionally friendly and attentive staff, but in the restaurant a bit more skill training would take the experience to the next level

The Hotel itself was beautiful with a gorgeous lobby, bar and even the lobby bathrooms were lovely! Breakfasts were superb, the staff were all friendly and helpful. The room and large bed were very comfortable. Also great to have fresh water provided each day.

Only small thing was we had hoped to get a room with the colourful tiles .

The service was wonderful! From the reception to the restaurant. Perfect!

The rooms could be more updated, painted, and a better fan in the shower.

At breakfest there was too cold, in winter there were ac working despite heating. No heating at bathroom, large bathroom but very cold.

The best staff and location. I was proud of that my first stay in Lisbon was here. Will definitely recommend to my friends for their next stay.

In the breakfast, the staff offered the foods in the restaurant and did not realize that each cost separately. In total, our breakfast for 2 adults became 76EUR… the taste was okay, but could inform us in advance for the cost..

This is a wonderful place, in every aspect. But one thing stands out, most comfy bed ever! Fantastic place!

We booked a corner room as it was just the 2 of us but the room was more suited for a solo traveller with barely enough space to walk around the bottom of the bed and completely unable to sit at the dressing table. Also, there was only one seat in the room
