Hotel Olissippo Lapa Palace, Lisbon

Pool area is very nice and relaxing and views from the room when you overlook the gardens with the pool area and the sea is just great!

A little bit outdated, could do with a refurbishment… Also the food menu in the pool restaurant is way too limited and is also very expensive for Lisbon for the quality of the dishes.

There is obviously not a dress code during the breakfast. There were guest in shorts and even fit flops. It is appalling to see other peoples hairy toes whole enjoying your breakfast. Guest that do not have proper shoes to wear in the morning should have their breakfast in their room.

Great room, we had connecting rooms as we were with our young kids and the lay out was perfect for us. Bathrooms were beautiful and large, bed was very comfortable. They handled all our requests perfectly and timely.

We loved this beautiful hotel.All the staff were so friendly, courteous and helpful. Our room was great with a lovely marble bathroom, all spotlessly clean. An amazing array at the breakfast buffet and delicious food in the bar. The outdoor swimming pool was brilliant and the grandchildren loved it. I can't stress enough how exceptional all the staff were - outstanding service!

A beautiful hotel and grounds, friendly and helpful staff who went the extra mile to ensure our stay was perfect.

Everything went well. The hotel, accommodation and the staff were superb. I travel a few times a year and usually stay at the best 5 stars hotels. The stay at this one greatly exceeded my expectation. This was our first trip to Lisbon, Portugal and I have to say that my wife and I had a great stay. We do plan to visit Portugal again and do plan to stay at Lapa Palace hotel again.

Nothing comes to mind. Although it did rain for several days during our stay, even the weather was not something anybody could complain about.

I liked the staff, very welcoming, explaining everything you need to know. Breakfast had it all and the quality of products was very good.

The rooms were well appointed and quiet. The grounds and pool were fantastic. The sericea was great and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

The distance to the heart of Lisbon was a bit inconvenient but the Palace is on a hill so that is why.

The rooms and the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The stuff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. We liked the location because it is in a quiet neibourhood and not in the center and allows you to relax after hectic days of touring the city.

Breakfast was incredible and the service throughout our stay was exceptional.

The hotel provided impeccable service from the moment we arrived. It was a quiet, luxurious setting. The pools were lovely. Room service was fast and fabulous. The staff was attentive and helpful. The breakfast options were good and the atmosphere was pleasant. We had connecting rooms, each with a balcony that was quiet and overlooked the pool and gardens. Carpeting was plush and the beds were comfortable. Room size was generous. There were fresh flowers in the bathrooms and L'Occitane bath products. We frequently stay at the Ritz-Carlton and the Four Seasons but this hotel provided better service and amenities than those. We highly recommend this boutique hotel.

The staff was very friendly, and helpful. The hotel and it’s grounds are very beautiful and well maintained . Our room had a stunning river view, it was a very relaxing experience. Viva Lapa Palace!

The hotel feels a little dated. If they made a few tweaks, like replacing carpets, draperies and bedspreads, with livelier, brighter more modern patterns and hues, I think it would have a huge impact and it would create a better guest experience.

Beautiful building. I stayed in the palace part, in an art deco room which was why I chose the hotel. Doesn’t feel too big. Garden and pool are lovely.

A little away from the centre of things so I recommend taxis if you’re not fond of a lot of walking. I was surprised there wasn’t a folder in the room with information about the hotel such as a map. The doorman wasn’t the best.

Excellent and friendly service and support from the staff. Very comfortable room with view of the Tagus, and a modern and well equipped bathroom. Good dining options, especially the bar where the staff could not be more helpful and where the menu is more varied and frankly much better than the more formal restaurant, which we found very expensive for what was, sadly, an average meal. Buffet breakfast was superb. The hotel has an excellent range of facilities, including a very relaxing garden and outdoor swimming pool.

Our only comment relates to the hotel’s position. It is not easy to access other than by taxi; it is a distance from the historic centre of Lisbon and is located underneath the flight path for Lisbon airport. As a consequence, the outdoor breakfast area, bar and garden can be quite noisy, especially as jet aircraft tend to land every 5-10minutes!

The room and bathroom were both great, confortable and pleasant. The breakfast was spectacular as it was the breakfast area coutyard...pleasant, peaceful and just pain very enjoyable. Although, we did not use the pool or spa facilities, we visited these and thought they were great. The pool and the gardens are beautiful....an oasis in the city of Lisbon. The staff for the hotel were always attentive and welcoming. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The only draw back is that the hotel is not close to the city center.

Distance to the city center is about 15 minutes away via taxi on a regular day....not walkable.

The pool is very large and beautiful. The lounge chairs are extremely comfortable and there is a nice bar right by the pool.

Everything exceeded expectations

This is our fifth stay at Lapa Palace. The staff are exceptional, our room was perfect, location is great, with views of the Tagus River. What more can you want.
