This little boutique hotel is a very special find. Gorgeous art everywhere, on the cliffside overlooking the ocean. If you are down at the seaside looking up, this stands out as the most lovely place of all of the cliffside hotels and Airbnbs. Truly unique!

Because this is a historic building, there is little to no sound insulation. It is at the dead end of a quiet street however, so it is no problem.

The staff were great! Shout out to Olga, Luis, and Carlos (my driver to and from the airport)!! The view from my room was incredible for the value!!! I accidentally left my jacket behind and was able to return to pick it up with ease

Loved the view over the ocean, spaciousness. quaint property, nice location. Better than sterile hotel, felt very local.

Breakfast for two mornings was the same, no variation.

The breakfast was really nice - coffee is available early and self-serve, breakfast consists of amazing crusty bread, eggs and thick bacon.

When we checked in, the staff was a bit rather distant. Too late check-in 1500 and too early check out 10. There is no time to enjoy the pool, which is only open from 10 till 18... unless you book for a few days.

The location above the sea, quiet and very private. The home itself was stunning. Each time I entered a room I noticed another artistic detail. The wood of the construction and furnishings was lovely. Many private places to sit, read, or sun. Pool area was unique and again very private. Rooms were quiet with warm breezes and tastefully appointed. Very comfortable beds. Lots of outlets. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Staff available and professional with helpful suggestions. Bar had a good selection.

Cannot think of anything I did not like.

A beautiful house with an amazing view. Our room had a stunnig view to the beach. Room was super clean, nicely decorated. Bunch of great art everywhere around you makes it super special!

Breakfast only offered eggs - scrambbled or fried.

To be in this home/museum is a real treat. Everywhere one looked there was art. The grounds and public spaces oozed art. What an extraordinary opportunity to be surrounded by art and the ever present soaring vultures. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Great breakfast service, great bread, great eggs and bacon. Rooms were appropriately furnished and with lovely amenities. Super comfortable beds. Adequate outlets and individual bedside lights for reading. Multiple spaces throughout the property to relax and enjoy the beautiful location. The pool was super clean and absolutely lovely with fluffy towels to sunbathe. Staff could not be more friendly or accommodating. Excellent location to explore Barranco or relax and reset.

From the moment you enter you encounter a sense of calm, beauty, and creativity. You can listen to the ocean and the views were spectacular. Staff was attentive.

Best bnb I’ve ever stayed in. So beautiful. Clearly (and literally) the work of an artist. Victor Delfin’s work touches every inch of this property and it’s stunning. The views of the coast are breathtaking.

Honestly, nothing

Great views from this spectacular property. The whole place was mesmerizing. The building is huge with windows to match. Between the building, the grounds and the art it felt like a grand museum tribute to an artist of national treasure status. Breakfast was wonderful. Employed staff were delightful. The owner helped us switch rooms immediately and with good hosting understanding and cheer when we had concerns about a few things in the small room. We were very grateful for that. What a charming area of Lima which has a plethora of good eateries and stunning walks. The property is stunning, and we feel lucky to have been able to have the opportunity to experience a historical landmark. What a grand palatial experience! Thank you!

I like surface space in my room and there was none in the regular rooms and very limited even in the larger room. No hooks to hang things other than a closet with high up heavy hangers of which were awkward and inconvenient to deal with luggage and clothing. Earplugs. There were not enough hours of peaceful sleep for me, either, as the building being like a museum, or a very thin-walled hotel. People walking with shoes upstairs, downstairs kitchen and any reception activity, so I pretended it was a night a museum adventure and it was fine for two nights. A sparse fashion statement perhaps? The house itself is so grand that the juxtaposition made for a feeling that the personal space for customers was... Lastly, old fashion (but new) bouncy mattresses. Being used to 15 years of firm or memory foam beds myself I didn't have a relaxing restful sleep with my partner. If you feel the same way when sleeping with someone, the room with two beds has an extra area living area and a small table to add for comfort and convenience and is much more elegant than the cramped single-bed regular room, from my experience. It will be a more memorable stay to boot.

Loved this place so much! The incredible artworks and history were a real treat to discover and stay amongst. The view from the cliff tops over the South Pacific Ocean and Lima coastline was unreal. Barranco suburb is also so lovely with its many quaint restaurants and cafes and friendly people.

Spectacular position, spectacular art collection

They helped me arrange transportation. The facilities were beautiful and unique. I loved my balcony where paragliders would pass over me in the afternoon. The room had a fun hammock in it. I also loved the area of Barranco and am soooo glad I stayed there.

The location is excellent as it's near the waterfront with lovely views. It is also close to cafes, restaurants, nightclubs, museums, and the Bridge of Sighs in the Barranco neighborhood. On the property itself, there are various pieces of art and terraces for general enjoyment.

1.There is no supply of bottled water in the room. Upon request, I did receive boiled water for my use. 2. Accessing safe public transit is a bit challenging. I walked, biked or took a taxi to most places.

The property was converted from a house to guesthouse; this was not an issue for us, but others might prefer a more “traditional” hotel footprint.

We absolutely loved staying at Second Home. the view is magnificent; the house is lovely and seeing all the art is just fantastic. Like staying in a wonderful museum. The neighborhood is safe, interesting, and full of good cafes and restaurants. The staff were exceptionally helpful.

If you are looking for a boutique hotel with a difference in Lima, then this is the place. The hotel is a Victorian house perched on the edge of the cliff overlooking the Pacific. It is also the home of the famous artist, Victor Delphin, and the house and gardens are filled with his amazing paintings and scultures. Our room was fabulous with a stunning sea view. Breakfast is simple but adequate.

We were surprised that such a hotel did not provide bottled water in the room, nor bathroom products.

Eclectic decor and beautiful spaces. Great location overlooking the ocean and in the artsy district of Barranco. Kind and helpful staff. Easy walk anywhere. Fun and different vibe. Cats :)

A lot of cold coming into the areas due to older furnishings (doors, windows with a lot of gaps).

Amazing old vila right on the cliffs, art work everwhere. Very unique place and great location for walking. Really high ceilings, huge rooms.

We loved the art and the sculptures that were all around the property. We also enjoyed the. Real fast that was included. The surrounding atea also had lots of nice restaurants, bars, and cafes.

The room was not separated from the bathroom making it awkward to use if other people were in the room since it wasn’t enclosed.

Beautiful old house in prime position in Barranco.

Breakfast was really great. But the art at the hotel is what really blew me away. It was all so beautiful.

The weather was a touch overcast. Which is not the hotels fault at all. Surprisingly the view was still stunning even being a bit misty.

Excellent and beautiful location! The hotel is a museum and the grounds are beautiful. Incredible views of the water and wonderful outdoor spaces.

Stunning place, full of art. The rooms with sea view are amazing and unique to the area.

A kettle in the room would help, however there are good coffee shops nearby and the night receptionist easily got me a cup of tea when I needed.

Highly recommend Second Home Peru! Great location near some really good restaurants. Staff were very friendly, I even loved the taxi driver that I used a few times. Breakfast was good. Lt a lot of variety, but also not something I expected.

Wow, our suite room was amazing! This is such a special place to stay. We took so many pictures. We made simple meals in the little kitchen.

I had a group of friends from Istanbul, visiting me in Lima. I wanted to make sure their visit was special. Lima has many options of hotels, I chose Second Home Peru, for its location in the heart of Barranco, its fabulous sculpture collection (Delfin), eclectic furnishings, PLUS ocean views. My visitors loved staying there as much as I had hoped.

The building and the property are special. Gorgeous artwork all over the building. Beautiful rooms with wonderful old wooden furniture . Great linens. Very comfortable to sleep in. It feels like a home. It’s my second time there six years apart and it’s exactly the same. Excellent t staff who are personable.

Beautiful spot that overlooks the water with fantastic artwork throughout. Service was excellent. Room was clean. They arranged transportation to and from the airport for us.

This is not a luxury hotel with all the standard amenities but instead, this place has charm and is very unique.

This may be one of the lovliest hotels I have ever stayed in. The view from the room was simply stunning, the grounds and general environment were beautiful, and the neighbourhood was funky and full of fabulous bars, cafés and restaurants. Highly recommend!!

The view and location of our room was amazing. It was right by the ocean, which we could see from our room. There’s also lots of unique birds that fly by the beach area that could be seen from the room/ common areas of the hotel. The hotel also has amazing art work all around.

I enjoyed everything about our stay. Staff were good, rooms were clean, and common areas were good.

Unique location, very culturally meaningful for the art history of Peru, the neighborhood was very dynamic, special, and vibrant. The staff very helpful.

Not enough breakfast options. I don't like eggs and there were zero options. One piece of fruit and a piece of bread just doesn't cut it. Some yogurt and granola would've been nice.
