The Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

Hotel is exceptional. Staff attentive and friendly while being efficient. Cleanliness and smell in the foyer so welcoming.

Not near restaurants and the food on site is pricy when just wanting something small to eat. The buffet is amazing but price adds up especially when with friends or with alcohol.

We found the hotel, although large, had a nostalgic charm and colonial elegance, which was enhanced by live music in the Colonial Cafe. The range of options at breakfast was excellent and the staff were professional and attentive. Our room was comfortable and clean, but starting to show 'wear and tear'. Didn't really bother us, our own home needs some updating!

If we return to KL will probably try a hotel located more centrally next to the Petronas Towers, which is the location of most of the night life - restaurants and shopping etc. The wi-fi was not always reliable - kept dropping out. This did not bother us as we were on holiday. But it would have been different if I was on business and meeting online.

They have a variety for the breakfast, I like that they are cleaning the room twice some times .

The worst thing is that we are near the railway track, and we hear the sound .

The booking page said that the hotel can only check in at 3 pm, but we actually checked in at 12 noon, which was great~

Range of bf buffet can be better . Most hotel bf buffet has soup noodle but this was not offered Refilling of dishes is also slow so can be improved

Just Perfect

Excellent quality hotel with great colonial charm. Breakfast was superb. Handy bus shuttle to KL Sentral train station.

There could have been access to the orchid display room.

Spacious rooms with great views. Huge bathroom. Decor and ameneties were great.

There were no spare plug points by the bed for charging the phone. All the lights couldn't be controlled from the bedside.

The ambience

The smell that appeared in the bathroom which i believe from the water trap (septic tank) the smell is very strong that disturbs our stay in the room.esp in the morning.

Loved how clean and spacious it was. I got an upgrade to the Premier Suit upon check-in, and I must say — the view from the room was spectacular.

The location is ideal for those who like visiting museums or are attracted to religions since the hotel itself has a long history and it is close to the National Museum, Masjid Negara, Kuala Lumpur Railway Station, Islamic Arts Museum, and so on. There are not many restaurants around the hotel but you can always grab it. The hotel has a shuttle bus to KL Sentral.

There is not enough space around the basin for my toiletries and makeup. Also, it's very easy to get the floor wet when taking a shower. It seems one-floor towel is not enough. Need to be cautious when stepping out of the shower.
