Ten Bompas, Johannesburg

Quite spacious rooms. Established garden. Vegetable garden.

Sad facility and outdated. Very average breakfast. No biscuits with coffee.

Breakfast was excellent, staff really good. Gloria in particular was an amazing waitress. Accomodation comfortable and the suburb is quiet and peaceful.

Excellent location, gardens very peaceful.

Some of the Interior spaces getting very dated, for instance the check in counter / bar area. Check in staff not very welcoming .

Rooms were spacious

There is not much to not like. This property exceeded all of our expectations. Every staff member was wonderful and Chef Ross cooked up the best meals every day. The proximity to all of Joeberg was excellent.

I have stayed at Ten Bompas on a number of occasions and it is always a treat to stay there.

I liked everything

The fireplace and the steam room in the room. The warmth and helpfulness of the stuff. Cosy beddings.

We really enjoyed the location, the staff and the room, especially the fireplace. It would be nice to have a kettle, cups and tea in the room instead of just espresso coffee

Very disappointed with both the dinner and the breakfast. The restaurant prices are high but the quality of the food doesn't warrant this. At dinner, the steak we ordered was dry and the fish was tasteless. Breakfast offers no juices, fruit, yoghurt etc and to have nothing but white bread available is unacceptable. The croissant I ordered was very tasty but the croissant itself was very tiny. We may be back but we will not make use of the restaurant.

The rooms are very cold in the winter. I would recommend that they get a replace the towel change more often.

The property is a bit tired and bedrooms outdated. The images on booking.com are beautifully shot and unfortunately did not meet expectations on arrival.

Allowed late check out

The service was fantastic. The food in the restaurant and wine selection was great!

The bed in our room was unusually low and needs a new matress. The rooms could use a fresh coat of paint. Colours are a bit dated

Location great and the hotel is lovely. Room is great.

Our door did not lock, but the staff did sort that out quickly.
