Pablo’s House, Johannesburg

I really enjoyed my stay at Pablo House. Everyone on the staff were wonderful and made me welcome. Leigh & Lou are fab hosts and I’d love to return. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the vibe in the communal areas was friendly and inviting. Special shout out for the comfy bed, good blow dryer & nice shampoos/soaps etc. Thank you for a great stay & intro to Johannesburg :)

If you are a light sleeper, I recommend earplugs. Not a huge issue for me but a good tip imo as the sound does carry especially in the main building.

Amazingly designed boutique hotel with an incredible view over the city and the friendliest staff.

Some small things in the rooms could be fixed - like having a plug for the hair dryer in the bath room.

The views and surroundings are beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast shakshuka was incredible.

I can't recommend Pablo House highly enough. Amazing views of JHB, in a beautiful setting. Amazing decor and very well appointed rooms. The staff are super friendly and the food is delicious with a great atmosphere - making it a great base for friends to come and visit me, rather than me having to travel around JHB to catch up! You can also organise spa treatments in your room, which are very reasonably priced. Finally, lovely pool area in a nice little quiet sun spot. Everyone made me feel so welcome, especially the owners who took the time to get to know me and made my stay extra special. Thank you so much to all at Pablo House - it's definitely my home from home now in JHB.

The food and the breakfast at the restaurant was exceptional. Very good, friendly and helpful staff working al round. Good view and the place looks like its photos. We will definitely stay here again in the future and we will definitely eat at the restaurant again even for a day visit.

The team at Pablo House went above and beyond to make our stay amazing! They picked us up from the airport and drove us to our pick up location the next day at 5am. We also arrived at the hotel early and they very kindly let us check-in early. Everything from the food at the restaurant/ bar (which has a great vibe - especially in the evening) to the pool area, to the bedrooms was perfect. the location is also very safe. I could not recommend Pablo House more!

This is the second time I have stayed at Pablo House and is it was every bit as good as the first. The room as exceptional and the staff were amazing (going out of their way to help us with all our questions). The restaurant on site is really very good and love that the whole place feels homely. Will definitely come here again!

AC would be a welcome addition in summer in the rooms Building feels a little worn out and fragile, but it adds to the charm

Best experience ever. The location is stunning. The food incredible, never had such a prefect breakfast. And the crew was inspiring. A perfect African gem hidden in Melville… The only problem… how soon can grab a plane to go back… thanks.

General mood and vibe of efficient staff and warm welcome. Great place to eat and unwind and excellent communication on what they've done. Loved the music, art, and the food was wonderfully cooked. Seafood. As with the views over Melville, the experience will not be forgotten. Spotless rooms and funky room design. We will be back!

Beautiful property, great Breakfast and wonderful staff. The modern, artistic look is a feast for your eyes and the property is very homely. Looking forward to returning once again!

Breakfast was great. Dinner also good, although both meals arrived fairly cold.

The fact that I needed to park outside. I drive a Ford Ranger which one of the most stolen cars in SA, i did not feel comfortable leaving my car outside even with security. I arranged alternative plans to leave my bakkie home. No backup for loadshedding is a big problem as well, especially when it is stage 4 and up like this weekend.

Great Setting - amazing decor. Very enthusiastic manager. Fabulous restaurant - breakfast was superb, dinner was exceptionally good and well priced!

The restaurant is a little close to the rooms and got a little noisy - but that's if I really had to moan about something. Other than that, no other issues.

I loved everything the owner was extremely friendly and helpful he even bumped up my reservation as it was my first time staying at Pablo. I will definitely recommend Pablo House.

The location in Melville was a perfect getaway location as it is located outside the busy city life. It also offers great views of the nature part of JHB. The breakfast was top tier and the value of the inclusive breakfast was surprisingly sizeable. All in all a really great stay.

Honestly there was nothing I did not like. Just wish I would have made my stay longer.

An incredible getaway in the middle of the city. Staff, food, service all round was excellent. We specifically liked Harvey the resident pup!

The staff friendliness was superb. Pablo House’s in-house restaurant is a must and their complementary welcome-drink & breakfast was a opulent experience. Real value for money. Better to support small businesses than hotel chains and conglomerates. We’ll definitely be back!

The back-to-back parking given the confined yard-space requires guests to shuffle around their vehicles or others to move theirs when arriving or (in our case), leaving the estate.

Pablo House is just amazing. we have been to this location twice. the staff is super friendly and kind. rooms are amazing, the view from restaurant and rooms is great. you will definitely enjoy! the food is very tasty and to have breakfast with a view is a perfect way to start your day. in case you come here in winter time, be reminded that it is quite cold in JoBurg. people used to central heating should take a Pullover with them. :)

it was winter and my room was a little cold but heated blankets were divine.

Restaurant was quite good and very well priced. Staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. Room was clean and everything worked well. Lounge was very inviting. I would highly recommend Pablo House to any Jo-burg visitor!

Wine list could have had a few more premium wines but we found passable ones to drink.

the place is just amazing and the staff is so super friendly! the bedroom is absolutely great with a nice view. it offers Netflix and a nice bathroom. nevertheless pls note that this is an open bathroom without any door :) maybe not the best option for any couple on their first romantic holiday :) :) breakfast and dinner is so tasty - worth to try it! the view and pool is amazing! we will be back soon

Everything about my stay at Pablo was amazing…the ambiance, aesthetics, the food (OMG! The shakshuka and Yemeni bread😭), the views…there’s nothing I did not like about my stay there!

If you stay on the top floor - the staff gets noisy late at night.

The staff were very helpful and flexible. They really could not do enough for you. The food was excellent too. I would recommend a stay here.

Stunning location with beautiful views. The public areas are so comfortable, with a great log fire in winter. Outstanding breakfast menu. Very friendly staff. Rooms are very comfortable, with good bathrooms and thoughtful touches like Nespresso machine and fridge. Felt very safe. Excellent airport shuttle service also
