Location and staff

Limited options for breakfast and having to pay for basic condiments as butter. The bathrooms in the rooms provide limited privacy as they are all glass with privacy film and doesn’t provide much privacy.

Staff are exceptional on every level. Help, warmth, kindness....I could go on..and the bed is unbelievably comfortable and the breakfast is vast and delicious.

Great location, lovely building and interior and wonderful staff who are very welcoming, helpful and gracious. Everyone in the hotel goes out of their way for you from the reception desk to the cleaning staff - I asked for a few face cloths the man who brought them saw we needed water and literally ran off for it, you really can't ask to be looked after any better! One of the staff walked me to the Main Street where you have to get a taxi (the hotel is in a pedestrian zone) which is a few blocks away, and pulled by large suitcase the whole way! The hotel is small and quiet with a beautiful, private rooftop bar for guests only with amazing views of the city. At check in they serve you a drink and show you a clip of the James Bond scene from Skyfall filmed in the lobby, its a nice touch :-)

The rooms are small but functional; I would just recommend putting a few coat hooks on the wall behind the door to maximise space.

Numerous technical problems like the break down in the hot water system and the WiFi blackout, but the staff reacted well

The Staff were very welcoming and accommodating in every way, particularly Seren who looked after us exceptionally well. The Terrace on 7th floor has an amazing view of the Blue Mosque and surrounds and is a wonderful place to have a drink. I would highly recommend this hotel in the old city as a perfect place to stay to explore Istanbul.

Everything was great for us.

The breakfast, which can be either traditional or Turkish, is excellent and super varied! An experience in itself is ordering Turkish breakfast. The hotel is an old bank, it's not big but it's a work of art! Everyone is very kind!

It's not exactly a defect and maybe it's personal, but there is no insulation between the bathroom and the bedroom, being a frosted glass wall. Which did not overshadow the hotel, which is in fact very beautiful.

It was beautifully designed, gorgeous rooms and exceptional staff. I let them know that I will be checking in around midnight, because of my flight and when I came to the hotel, they actually had a packed sandwich, juice and Turkish delight waiting for me, I thought it was very thoughtful. But at the check out they impressed me even more, after the check out (!) so technically I wasn’t a guest anymore, one of the porters, Bore, took me to meet my taxi driver (that I have booked, nothing to do with the hotel) because hotel is in the pedestrian only area between 10 am and 7 pm. This is what I call, above and beyond. Highly recommend!

Stunning hotel, great staff amazing location.

Super comfortable overall, great location, great food. But really the helpful and friendly staff are what make it special.

They should include non-slip bathmats for the shower (marble floor is slippery). I didn’t think to ask while I was there but I would think if you asked they would get you one.

Fabulous location, easy to get around on the tram. Plenty of restaurants in the area and lovely hotel to return to after an outing.

best part of this property is the staff , professional, I gave them all 100 percent for customer support. A special thanks to Eyup the desk Manager, and the Office Manager Civan for their quick response to accommodate us in every way ,I highly recommend this hotel when in Istanbul.

This hotel is perfectly situated close to the New Mosque and Eminönü Square. Everything is within walking distance or a tram ride away. Great hospitality and the best room service burger I’ve had.

For longer stays I would suggest you get a bigger room like we did.

Excellent location in the old town. Small intimate rooms but the location and staff make up for it. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to make their trip to Istanbul even better.

The breakfast was excellent and Al Carte. The location was superb as it was very close to all the main tourist spots. The hotel staff were outstanding and could not do enough to look after you. During our stay we wanted to watch the Euro football. They arranged for us to go to their sister hotel (2 mins away) as they had a viewing room. When we arrived, we were offered complimentary hot drinks, water, popcorn and fruit platter. We visit Istanbul around 2/4 times a year and I would probably say this is one of the best hotels we have stayed at.

The room was very good and the only point I did not like was the glass panel that provided privacy from toilet to bedroom. The bathroom also did not have a door and therefore you could hear all the noise when you are using the toilet. I hope they can look at this and maybe install some bathroom doors.

The hotel was beautifully furnished and the staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. The location in the Old City was excellent for sightseeing; we were able to walk to all the major sites we wanted to see.

The room was very comfortable for one person, but had I been travelling as a couple I might have found it rather small.

We felt very well taken care off, from the moment we first walked through the door until the moment that we had to check out. The building is beautiful and you do really feel like being a part of history. The hotel is within walking distance of the major highlights of the old town, with a beautiful view from the top floor. The jazz club was great with a wonderful performance and drinks. We would specifically like to mention Serdal, a wonderful member of staff who always went above and beyond to keep our experience enjoyable.

The room was a bit on the small side and there was a loud and distracting noise coming from a vent in the bathroom, so we had to keep the door to the toilet open during the night to cancel out the sounds a bit. Breakfast was good and very complete, but the staff got our order wrong on our first two days. The other days gave no issues.

A beautiful hotel in a wonderful location, close to many of the main places of interest. The staff are simply superb.

The washroom is kind of small.

All the staff were so helpful ,kind and considerate especially Eyoob,,Handan,Niki,Mahmood,Samad and all others we forgot the names . Room and hotel were very clean and quite Location is excellent

Great location, 5min to spice bazaar, Blue Mosque, harbourside. Exceptional service, great breakfast, deluxe rooms with a view to the landmarks, amazing roof terrace view, with their great cocktails. Beautiful old bank building, fantastic noise isolation. Cute guest gifts left in the room, including 2 lts or drinking water every day, Turkish delight, fruit plate another day. Staff cannot do enough for you, helping with everything (I particularly appreciated whatsapp communication mode). They booked me fab hammam experience, at short notice; helped talk with taxi driver who was trying to overcharge me, organised my transfers for day trip to Izmir/Efes, the lot - the best hotel service I have had in a very long time.

The room was small, which could be ok, but the bathroom needs to be redone and rethought. It devaluates the quality of the room. Lack of mirror.

Excellent breakfast. Luxurious but cosy atmosphere. Helpful staff with my payment issues. Quiet room as hotel in pedestrianised area though is an issue for taxis without a permit.

The food is exceptionally delicious. Starting with breakfast and ending with lunch or dinner. I have tried almost all the dishes on the menu, the Chef can perfectly cook Turkish and Italian dishes - both, I did not expect this, it usually does not work that way. I was satisfied with the food every day and didn't want to eat anywhere else. The Chef of the Orientbank Hotel made my stay hehe :) The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and comfortable. I'm staying here for the second time. And I am glad to note that nothing has changed for the worse here since 2022, it’s even opposite. They keep the same excellent level.

Amazing Location and Fantastic Staff

The hotel room, and location was superb, even better was the staff. They exceeded all expectations. From the initial check-in to helping us make arrangements for dinners and transport to room service, I’ve never received this level of service before!

Cool jazz club on certain nights. Harpist playing a few times across my 5 night stay. Central to major sights in Istanbul.
