The Hammock Hotel Ben Thanh, Ho Chi Minh City

Comfortable spacious room in the center of a good touristic area. Minibar, water, snacks and washing were all free. Also the breakfast (3 changing options) was good quality and the skybar was very chic. All employees were friendly.

At times, the music at the Skybar was a bit loud. We had no issue sleeping, though. And overall the Skybar was a nice suprise

The place was clean and very centrally located

What makes this hotel unique is the hammock in the room. Besides the complimentary snacks and drinks in the room and in the rooftop pantry, there's free laundry service too. Thanz to the hotel management for its generosity and being customer-oriented. On our second day, water leaked through the ceiling due to a faulty pipe on the upper floor. A new room was arranged for us immediately.

First and second floors are free study areas. So the first impression when entering the hotel lobby was confusion. So many tables and so many people at the lobby. 4 staff standing behind the counter we didn't know who to turn to. There's barely enough space to stand at the counter with our luggage bags without blocking the walkway. It would be better to remove 1 or 2 tables near the counter to give more space for check-in and check-out.

The free amenities were much appreciated.

We had to change locations and stayed at the other Hammock Hotel - this was not communicated to us but fortunately we had family arrive before us to clear up the confusion. This is most likely an issue with Booking.com.

Very comfortable and ‘cool’ property. Lots of local creative types working quietly in the cafe downstairs. Roof top bar with free beer and snacks was very nice touch - open 24/7 and able to sit in the hammocks on the rooftop until the early morning - perfect. Room was very comfortable. Shower was brilliant - waterfall shower with very strong pressure

The vibe of the place is amazingly good. Lot of young students but really studying so it was great for me. The cafeteria and the free minibar made a huge difference.

A bit too crowses and the personal did not speak good english. The check in was a little too long cause the room was not available.

Cosy rooms for a nice comfortable stay. People with knee problems might find it difficult to get up and down from the bed, since the bed is at a very low level. A wide range of free food, both inside the room and on the terrace, is unique of its kind.

Was a perfect place for a us as a family of 3 with a 2.5yo - she could tire herself a bit on a hammock in the room then on the swings during the breakfast and then on the playground in the park which is 5min walk from the hotel. Free snacks and drinks are unbeatable too

We liked so much the staff, try were very kindly to us and we felt so comfortable with them. The room was big and beautiful.

The staff was amazing. Especially the young girl with braces. She always had a big smile that made me feel welcome and happy.

Excellent stay ! We are a family of 5 , this place is miraculously close to every landmark one would like to cover in HCM City. We walked down to all the places. The rooms are very cozy yet spacious. Loved the fact that the room pantry was full all the time and totally free & included in the room charges. Th highlights are the Rooftop pantry which is open 24/7 with nice sitting area and Choice or beers, snacks , coffee tea all of it was free and unlimited. The staff was very courteous. Also, it has the 24/7 coffee Shop at ground floor, the vibe of the place is exceptional and the bakery and coffee choices were amazing !

Breakfast option are very limited and apart from the staff at the lobby rest of the staff may not speak English.

This charming little establishment was a mix of youthful hostel energy and cool boutique hotel vibes. The staff were friendly and very helpful! The location was great- in the middle of things but still quiet and peaceful. I loved everything about it!

The location, the cleanliness, the staffs and unlimited use of the minibar and pantry!! Also 24/7 cafe at the lobby. The location is in the middle of the touristic area where you can explore everything at walking distance. The hammocks inside the room is so nice that kids enjoy it. The roof top dining area is amazing to sit and chill out together with family or friends. The breakfast is set menu but different options to choose from and all are good.

The room and location was perfect. Booked a room for 3 and it felt very spacious. They provide snacks and beverages in the lounge.

The bed was comfortable, facilities perfect, there was washing machines and tumble driers which were complimentary and self service, there is a minibar with food and drinks in the room again complimentary and on the roof terrace there were drinks, snacks and pastries which were also complimentary! We checked out and the staff kindly let us leave our bags at the hotel and then when we came back we had a couple of hours till our taxi came for the airport so they allowed us to stay on the terrace till we needed to leave! I can't rate this hotel enough, I would definitely definitely recommend!

Absolutely nothing, perfect location to walk to all sites, shops, restaurants and anything you could possibly want is on the doorstep, staff friendly and so accommodating, just do it, just book! We wish we could have stayed longer! Thankyou

Great location. Walking distance to many of the “must see” in HCMC sites. Reception was very kind and helpful. Laundry facility was the perk I didn’t know I’d love! Having snacks and drinks available when traveling with a teen was a plus!

I chose this property as it was touted as clean which is quite important to me. Overall, it was very clean. However, the toilet in our room had noticeable grime on the backside of the toilet seat and along the base. This is an easy scrub to make it even cleaner!

Well designed refurbished rooms. Nice breakfast selection of multiple options that change each day, cooked individually. Decent location. Free drinks and snacks in room and on roof terrace. Bottom two floors are cafe and study space, so always lots of people around.

Refurb is fairly superficial. Electrics, etc, seem quite old. Street hotel is on is only slightly busy for HCMC, but walking to the centre means crossing a pretty crazy roundabout.

Everything! From the breeze during check in and free mini bar that consist of drinks, beer and limitless chips. Rooftop breakfast with a change in daily selection and pleasant atmosphere and cleanliness. It was also a short walk to a famous banh mi food outlet.

We stayed in the extra large nest, 1 queen and 1 super single bed. The spring in the super single mattress is no longer supportive. The hotel should look into replacing it so that guest can have a good night's rest.

We loved the room, it was comfy quiet and in a good location for walking and doing tours. The breakfast choices changed daily and were tasty. We also really enjoyed the free snacks and beer which we enjoyed on the roof top hammocks!

It would be great if it had a pool for those hot nights but otherwise it was great!

Really liked the style of the rooms and the concept of free minibar and drinks on the rooftop. Also thought the breakfast was great (I went for the more local option with Pho, spring roles etc). I loved that they offer a free snack bar on the rooftop, which is accessible any time of the day: They offer a wide range of options: pastries, yogurt, snacks, soft drinks, and beer. The staff is super kind and welcoming. The location is excellent too. There is also a very popular Banh Mi joint across the street, about 5 minute's walk from the hotel, which is a must-try.

The hotel offers three different breakfast options: toast, beef soup noodles, and mac and cheese. The food in general was disappointing. I would say that the only impressive option was the soup noodles.

omg. what all should I mention here. endless list. I have traveled all over the world but never ever have I come across such a hotel. firstly I would love to thank the owner of this property for being so generous enough to provide unlimited resources. breakfast time is till 12 noon. there’s a canteen on their top floor where unlimited beer, water , cold drinks , tea coffee, milk, curd, sweets, snacks, wafers, cup noodles etc are kept for customers and it’s FREE. this gesture is enough for customer satisfaction. the mini bar in the room is unlimited. there’s a laundry and dryer as well as iron which is free again. 24/7 coffee shop in their premises. just 500 meters to walking street and 700 meters to Ben Thanh market. their staff is well spoken courteous English speaking. and so so many restaurants and Banh mi diners in and around the hotel. spacious rooms and bathroom. simply loved everything about this property. would be coming back again here and would definitely recommending this place to my friends.

Common places cleanliness could be improved.

Everything was lovely. Our room was clean, spacious, luminous and delightfully decorated. One particular detail that I loved was the window in the bathroom (so common in hotels). We didn’t have any problems with noise from the street at night as the windows were soundproof. The staff is lovely, young, friendly and welcoming! There is a lovely rooftop with a nice city view where you can just chill out and enjoy unlimited free drinks (including beers) and snacks offered by the hotel. There are washing machines and clothes dryers on the rooftop that you can use to do your laundry as well which is very convenient. We enjoyed our stay a lot at this hotel. Great value for money and highly recommended!

The room was comfortable and clean. The location was great. The service was good too. I would highly recommend this hotel. An added bonus is free snacks as drinks and a roof top to enjoy them on. All is all, great stay!

The staff at the property makes you feel warm and welcome throughout. Everyone’s very friendly and do everything within their means to make your stay comfortable. They booked us on a Cu Chi tunnels tour, arranged scooters for us in a timely manner, helped us with a nearby money exchange center offering excellent rates and even booked a Grab for us to go back to the airport. The room was also very clean and well-maintained. The Family Nest proved to be perfect for us as we were travelling with a toddler. Our kid also loved the in-room hammock! The decor was minimalistic but loaded with helpful add-ons like a QR code that takes you to a Google map with all the sightseeing places and eateries marked on it, hand sanitizer, ear plugs for when the neighbourhood gets noisy, etc. I also loved how the hotel packed our stay with generous freebies - from a free minibar to snacks and drinks from the pantry to the free laundry, we hardly had to think about the price when using any of the hotel’s stuff. The rooftop area was also a lovely place to chill out and watch the world go by. The location is also fantastic. All major attractions are less than 2 kms away!

We really appreciated the design of the hotel and the room and the fact that you can take beverages unlimited from the fridge, it’s a very nice touch. Overall the hotel looked clean and the staff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend it.
