It was all very good. We were a little surprised to be charged £50.34 (I assume €60) for an additional breakfast for two, but I guess that's just the going rate in a top central city hotel nowadays...

Modern, fresh hotel with oustanding design elements. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, Loccitane cosmetics. Fast check-in and check-out process. We were lucky to receive our room well before standard check-in time, it was really nice gesture from hotel personnel. Welcome drink as complimentary drink was given at bar - possibility to have either glass of beer or sparkling wine :) Breakfast was exceptionally good with variety of dishes. Additionally cooked eggs are offered from menu (omlette, benedict, florentine etc). Very nice place with convenient location to all sightseeings.

Nice location just in the center of Hamburg in a quiet road. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The room doors closed super noisily, so that you heard (and felt) every door in the corridor closing, which was disturbing.

Fabulous hotel, lovely room for disabled visitor. Staff members went over and above to help.

The hotel was internally stylish and furnished in good taste. It was located overlooking one of Hamburgs waterway, near the Hafencity quarter, a vibrant area with a wide choice of quality restaurants.

The staff were lovely, no issues when we asked to change the room as the air con was not working.

The property is amazing and the location is perfect

The staff is very good and they welcome us in a very friendly way, plus we told them it was our anniversary and we had a small present in the room. So cute ☺️

It was great. I don't love that there aren't a lot of public transportations in the immediate area, but that's not the hotel's fault.

The amount of alcohol around the room pushing for extra sales felt a bit overwhelming.

Comfy bed, lovely decor, good value for money. Ideal location for the Elphi and Minature Wonderland. Delicious breakfast overlooking the river. Helpful staff.

It was tricky to get there by public transport. Bus and a walk from Central Station. Fortunately we had friends in Hamburg who advised us to download the HVV app to purchase public transport tickets and provide best routes to destination.

Access to public transport wasn't easy, and was a moderate walk away.

The hotel was very very good. You can early check in if they have any room available and when you check out you can leave your staff locked if you have more time until your train . The staff was very helpful.

The lack of privacy for the shower area. A screen/separation would be nice. Not an issue when travelling with a partner but if travelling with a friend it's a bit awkward.

Lack of daylight in the room due to roomlocation: facing kind of a patio. Minibar was not working, despite reporting it, no technician came to fix it Unclarity on parking options. The hotel does NOT offer parking/has NO parking garage but cooperating with a parking garage close by

Beautiful and cozy common areas during the Christmas period. The tree and decoration made it feel extra festive. The room was large enough, unique interior design, comfortable bed and very clean. Welcome drink at the bar was appreciated. Breakfast was good too and the staff that served were very friendly. Location was excellent with some restaurants in the area and walking distance to central Hamburg. Recommend cafe Speicherstadt Kaffeerösterei near Miniatur Wunderland.

Staff on the reception was ok, but not extra friendly or helpful, seemed a bit shy maybe. The shower space was not the best solution since the water would overflow on the room floor.

Location is excellent near the port and old city. Very quiet. Beds are very comfortable. Best shower head we had in Europe. Breakfast is excellent. Staff were super friendly. Excellent restaurant recommendations.

The Nikolai is pure luxury decorated elegantly. High quality furnishings and thoughtful design abound. Staff are warm and informative. Breakfast was extensive, beautifully presented and fresh.

The hotel requires the offsite parking pass card to be returned to the hotel after leaving the parking facility. The city driving makes this difficult. Be sure to add extra time to your schedule to accommodate.
