Lots of character, clean, comfortable and included a bath and shower. Working air con/heating. Delicious breakfast.

No room service or evening restaurant, however, lots of restaurants around the hotel.

The front desk woman was very helpful and friendly. Location was pretty central. Vaulted ceilings made the room feel large. Good security, had to use room key to get in everywhere. The bed was very comfortable.

The hotel decor and some facilities were very outdated. Tv was not a smart tv, we could only watch cable. Our shower door was also broken and got water on the floor when we were showering. The tub was very high up so getting out of the shower was a little precarious. Toilet didn’t flush properly.

Location, facilities and food are excellent.

Very minor critique, hotel bar closed and as a resident we were ‘hurried up’ to finish our drink.

Smell in the room when we just arrived. Probably it came from old or not cleaned fairly carpet

Gorgeous building, the lift is so unique and the beds are soo comfy! Absolutely love the dark wood and stained glass windows. Staff were very kind and helpful.

unfortunately just didn’t sleep. Very noisy through the early hours as it sounded as a door was constantly shutting

Helpful staff, great location.

Several electrical glitches, with lamps and TV problems. Room very warm at night but window couldn't be opened and duvet too thick. Aircon made a lot of noise but had no cooling effect.

The hotel is centrally located so it was easy for getting between venues, restaurants and bars. Lovely old fashioned. art deco, hotel with unique features. Room was very comfortable.

The lift wouldn't open on my floor (floor 3), so I had to use the stairs all the time which, with my bags, wasn't very helpful.

Staff were excellent. Breakfast was excellent but might be worth adding a buffet style breakfast station as well

Cleaning a little less than ideal - dust behind bathroom & room doors. Room has no shelves for clothing / bag Desk is small (too small for work really) & obstructed by unnecessary minibar snack display. A little more street noise comes in through windows than is desirable for good sleep (even on a wet Sunday evening!).

Staff went above and beyond/ very attentive and welcoming. Next door to excellent Italian restaurant Loved the art Deco building especially the cage lift.

The only thing was the lighting in the room wasn’t very good . Didn’t spoil our stay .

Liked the style of the room and the unique old style feel

We were awoken by a loud alarm at 6:30am which was alarming (no pun intended) all jokes aside this was not good. Also we had to ask for toilet roll as none was provided

The lift itself and the stair core was awesome, very quirky. The food was decent in the morning. The bed was comfortable and the hotel is really conveniently located for exploring Glasgow.

The room was underwhelming and narrow, appreciate not all rooms are like this. The telly is a good 4-5 meters away from the bed. There was toilet roll left in the loo and the finish of the bathroom looks worn (sealant patchy, cracked sink).

Windows that did not shut very well, had to change rooms as first didn't shut at all. The second room did manage to shut but not easy.

The room was comfortable

The location of the tea and coffee on a shelf that was a loose bit of wood sitting on top of the safe. The tea and coffee should be visible, not the arrangement of sellable goods.

very clean good comfortable bed value for money breakfast was very nice and the dining room was very clean

no kettle in the bedroom or free tea/coffee only products which had to be paid for and as an elderly lady on my own i couldn't get the tops of the water to unscrew. i think water should be available free of charge. the dining room was freezing they had problems with the heating but still wasn't sorted on my second morning. the lift is picturesque but too heavy and cumbersome for an elderly person to manage although the very nice receptionist lu helped me when asked..

We had to change rooms as first room smelled unpleasant, general decor starting to look a bit worn

It was very clean, well located, staff were super friendly and it was good value for money.

The elevator was a bit old and was not the most user friendly. We also missed an earlier breakfast availability and a small fridge in the room. But this wasnt a major issue anyway.

The staff member on reception was polite, friendly and provided us with great information. She also remembered details about what we were doing on our visit and asked us how it went - which was nice that she showed interest. The room I think was an upgrade as it was huge and the bath was great - so deep. Radiators provided good heat and also air con was great later when we wanted a cooler room to sleep. Nice tea & coffee selection. You kept our bags for the day of our departure for no cost and it was so helpful thank you

Location a bit out of Glasgow centre up a hill which was a bit of a problem for us. Simple things. Like. No slippers in room. Supplied when we asked. Only a couple of tissues in the box. Common with hotels these days. Breakfast 1st morn superb. 2nd morn order wrong. These things are attention to detail
