Great location and great meal at the restaurant Staff and service was great

The shower had lots of black mold and my wife wouldn't even use the shower The mattress on the bed was a bit soft

Reception staff was great.

The waiter in the restaurant was rude after we gave him a tip, it obviously wasn’t a good enough tip. Next time I won’t bother at all. Second time we have stayed here. Bed was uncomfortable- it dipped down in the middle.

Staff super nice, they go the extra mile to help the customers. Morning walks on the Main river path are nice and I fully enjoyed that. Bed sheets / shampoo of high quality.

A/C proved defective in the Junior Suite on a hot day 35C. Opening one window = flies coming in. They buzzed my sleep, keeping me awake. Bathroom floors are outdated. Prior water stains on the sink and bathroom floors, giving the impression of unclean from many prior years of use. Wooden floors don't spark either. Suggestion: Change the cleaning solution. Sorry, I expected a bit more from a 4-star hotel denomination.

I have booked for 3 person and they provide a room with double bed , and when I ask them they said u have to pay for the third bed !!! 30€ !!

It was clean and a good price. Breakfast was yummy.

The room door lock was missing,so they gave us a physical key to open the door. We had to go ask for towels because there were none in the room upon arrival.

Would be good to have a smoke free bar as we couldn't stay too long in bar as just a small area a very smokey, I guess we are used to the Australian free bars.

For an unexpected work-weekend in Frankfurt, I choose Hotel Gerbersmühle based on its location (in the outskirts of the city with easy parking and easy access to urban parking lots) and the pictures (indicating nicely furnished rooms and convivial common spaces, optimal to get some work done and reading- with the option of the bar and a restaurant).  I definitely must not have been paying close attention at the time of choosing.  The hotel, in my view, poorly qualifies as a soulless motel with little to offer in terms of services and accommodation.  The room, on the second floor, overlooking the garbage area, exterior toilets and a small parking lot, felt arbitrarily and poorly set up. A bed with a huge white headboard with some built-in spots, one chair stuck in in the corner, etc. Outdated, boiler-plate design.  Somewhat hopeful, I inquired about other available rooms but the person at the reception stated that "the hotel was fully-booked." (At breakfast ... only two tables were taken ...) There was a rank smell in the passageway on the second floor; it confirmed my general impression: the hotel seems clean but lacks shine and fresh air. The lobby/reception area is merely a hallway to the restaurant, painted black, without a sitting area. On average, a budget chain hotel probably scores better in terms of infrastructure, functionality and hospitality. On the second night, very loud dance music resonated through the hotel and my room. Apparently, Gerbersmühle was rented out for a party. When, finally, I went downstairs to the reception to inquire and complain, a kind person from the restaurant apologized and offered me a drink while trying to find the receptionist. Upon the latter's arrival, he told me, unapologetically, everything would end by ten. He couldn't care less; he was packing up some things in a box and was on his way out.

Breakfast at Gerbersmühle is just bland and served in the, somewhat dark, bar area where, during my two days stay, the heating was on low; (zero temperature outside). The restaurant with a nicer park/river view is set up for dinner yet off limits for breakfast. Optimizing the guests' experience is not a priority at Gerbersm¨hle. The only nice surprise was the kindness and professionalism of the lady managing and serving breakfast. At checkout, when I was prompted whether "everything had been in order," I "confirmed" but added that the hotel did not live up to my expectations. The receptionist did not inquire any further, just added "that there was nothing she could do about that" - which was probably true. Gerbermühle is very overpriced and, above all, soulless. In terms of hospitality, there are tens of better places in the city; do not stop off here.

We arrived to the hotel during the Christmas season, which was all decorated and illuminated with magnificent lights. The hotel is located away from the city so it is quiet with the charm of an outdoor courtyard on the banks of the river. The rooms are big and very clean. The crew very welcoming and plesent. Free parking.

The reception is until 23:00 for us it was ok.

It was too loud in the lobby at midnight as the rooms are in lobby gallery it was extremely uncomfortable to sleep, the management didn’t even bother to take care of that. The breakfast is very ordinary the staff isn’t ready to move an inch to accommodate….on one occasion the restaurant cook was missing and no fried eggs were available!

Pretty location on the river

We were looking forward to a nice dinner but waited hours while servers dealt with a large group having a party. Finally out of patience, we got up and left. This was clearly a problem with the manager who tried to step in and help the servers but only managed to confuse them as to their responsibilities.

Lovely modern and clean hotel overlooking the river. Our junior suite was large and comfortable and immaculately clean. Great outdoor bar and food area. Nice peaceful location.

Location was perfect! Quiet and relaxing but not too far from the city center. Easy biking along the river.

Great location on the river, restaurant and Biergarten outside for the summer. We brought our dog so that was convenient.

Bike paths can be busy. Not close to public transportation.

The hotel is really high class! Starting from reception, to the room quality! The garden is wonderful! We have even watched Euro 2024 match on a big screen in the garden! It’s 5 min walk from nearby Metro! Absolutely perfect place!

Perfect location directly on Main river, fantastic garden and restaurant, only pity it was only 1 night stay.

The hotel was situated about 20 minutes' walk from central Frankfurt, but we didn't go into the city as we were only staying overnight en route to elsewhere. There are restaurants very nearby. The room had a view of the river. The breakfast was excellent! There was plenty of parking in the hotel grounds.

People can make the difference or not! This was a 5***** experience and the staff is outstanding great! The check in was fast, heartful and professional! The restaurant executive manager and his staff created a personal experience that stays for long time in my head! I made a good and profitable business deal and these guys played a huge role not knowing they are - the atmosphere !

The hotel is totally beautiful.

Breakfast was very minimalistic. For baked eggs you had to pay extra. Only because of the breakfast I will not go there anymore. After the room was cleaned up the second day, there were old blood or vomit stains at the top of the sheet. Had to lay at the other side to avoid contact.

Beautiful surroundings, delightful art and architecture. Staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us. On arrival we were upgraded to a junior suite, which was a lovely surprise. Food was exquisite, and while busy the restaurant staff extremely attentive.

There was a dault with one of the windows in the suite, however staff were extremely helpful and arranged a repair immediately.

Room was dirty. Long black hair on toilet. Multiple lamps were broken. Floor (wooden) needed a wet wipe. Chipped walls and dark scrapes on walls and bed. Air conditioning was almost imperceptible regardless of Temp/Fan settings. The overall impression was of neglect and carelessness.

where do I start? I called before booking the room to ensure each room had fully functioning AC- to which they replied yes. I booked the room. we showed up and upon entering the room there was a constant loud banging, knocking in the room and it was very hot. I asked the housekeeper what it was- she didn’t know so she got the receptionist. she told us the AC was broken until the day before, it was just fixed and that’s the sound of it trying to work. she offered us a room 3 doors down, the sound was still going on just not as loud. it felt slightly cooler so we accepted the new room. all night the AC ran off and on- we were literally sweating. we went for dinner and came back only to have our door key not work. the receptionist leaves at 10pm so a guy from the restaurant helped us. the problem was the battery on our door- it was almost dead but he managed to get us in our room. for the price of the room and the facilities I feel it was overpriced. the bed was not comfortable, the room was small, the pictures online look nothing like the actual place. we were deeply disappointed.

We only spend 1 night as we were traveling. We didn't use any of the facilities at the hotel. It is a nice hotel, with spacious, clean rooms, great bathroom, and comfortable beds. Personel was friendly. It is located next to a small park which was great for our dog. We enjoyed breakfast which was fine too.

The only this which was a disappointment was that the air condition wasn't working. So the room couldn't cool down. We opened the window but there was too much noise. For a hotel with this standard I expect the air conditioning to work properly. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't compensate us for this complaint.

The restaurant on site was fabulous, the bar and bar staff were exceptional and everyone on the staff went out of their way to make my stay better. I can't wait to go back.

My room was on the 1st floor and was very noisy. The restaurant is good but the hotel is so so.

Who can sleep in the bed?! You can hear all the guests getting back to the hotel - clacking of the doors are that loud.

Hotel is a beautiful boutique property in a lovely forested area of Frankfurt. Outstanding restaurant, simple but nicely appointed and thoughtfully decorated rooms. A find on this business oriented city and a perfect respite from the hustle & bustle.

We really liked the room. It felt cozy and comfortable. Lovely shower. And we had a very nice walk next to the Main. Overall we had a good an comfortable stay. Roomservice was running, we ordered food in our room, what came quickly.

It’s a bit overpriced for what you get I guess. We didn’t try the breakfast because all reviews said it wasn’t worth the 19€ a person. we went for the bakery 5 minutes up the road. The hotel is absolutely dog friendly, but we paid an additional fee of 25€ extra for one night to bring him. That was a bit much in our eyes, but we already booked.. The rooms are next to the lobby, so it’s not a quiet place to stay.

The charcuterie at breakfast was not refrigerated, also not covered so many flies were sitting on the food. In general the breakfast wasn’t very nice presented for 25 Euro per person. The hotel offered to skip new towels and bedding everyday for sustainability reasons in exchange for a gift. We didn’t get any gift. Also we did not understand that this means that the room service gets completely skipped every day. The did not make the bed, cleaned, emptied the bin etc. For the price we paid, this is a No Go.
