Riad Idrissy, Fez

Fez medina can be hectic, so super nice to have the garden to retreat to. Clean, nice room. Pretty quiet for being in the medina.

This is not particularly bad, but the property seems to be first and foremost a restaurant / cafe that also has rooms. Staff are around, but pretty busy with the restaurant in the afternoons/evenings so you have to actively seek them out if you need something. Also has more backpacker vibes as opposed to traditional riad vibes. Again not bad, but just something to be aware of.

The restaurant is great and location is perfect. The riad is beautiful.

There are no locks on the doors and no one is at the concierge. We could not get a hold of them to help us find it within the Fes labrynth, and there rarely was someone at the front desk.

Amaying place. Very nice, large rooms, and beautiful decorations everywhere. Plus RUined garden as the restaurand with turtles. Really amazing. Compared to 5 stars riad in Rabat, this one was far better.

We really liked the friendly staff and beautiful courtyard in the riad. We appreciated their help with transfers from the bus station at night and then the car rental in the morning and also the breakfast to go too :) We were only there for a night but could be a lovely base for a few nights!

The only thing that we didn't enjoy so much was the walk back at night to the riad. The area felt a little intimidating at night as there were some teenagers fighting in the alleys. Maybe some additional street signs could help to get us back on track after changing our route and wanting to keep our phones which we were using for directions away. I'm sure it was an unlucky experience as everything else was great.

The kindness of the staff. Very romantic garden. Location in the maze of the Medina and yet very quiet.

I like délabré hotels but this beautiful Ryad needs a bit of a restoration

Quirky, beautiful gardens entrance and breakfast area. Great staff, and a very big comfortable bed.

Everything was amazing. Taxi service from to station and back once departing. Water included in the room was a nice addition. The staff are very friendly and even upgraded my room for a night. Also, breakfast was great.Would be happy to stay again.

It was a great and historic building and the people working in the hotel were very kind. As they managed kindly our transfer from CTM bus terminal to the hotel and to the airport, we had a so safe and secure visit!!

Really beautiful building, with decorated ceilings in the room, etc. The building itself is worth visiting. It also has a great restaurant, the ruined garden. The breakfast was also generous and fresh every day. The room was big, quiet at night with a comfortable bed.

Our main worry is that there is no way to lock the rooms, and the entrance is through the restaurant, so it would be easy for someone to slip in. Unlike other hotels we stayed in, they didn't provide a water bottle every day as we assume that the tap water isn't safe to drink.

I think we stayed in the best room of the riad. It is on the upmost floor and it means that there is no noise (in the morning you can hear birds singing), big windows open to roof terrace from where are good views to the town. Bed is big and comfortable. Good wifi. I also liked good quality towels. People working in the hotel are kind and helpful.

The staff was exceptionally nice, helpful and just really cool young people. They were really going out of their way to help with suggestions, help figure out transport to the next city and suggest a good guide for Fes. Our room was magnificent - extremely high ceilings, beautiful painted doors and panels and tasteful details. The garden of the restaurant is absolutely wonderful and the food is great. And we loved the cooking class their chef gave us.

Since this is a historic riad the room doesn't get too much light, it also directly opens into the common lobby area, but during our stay it was always very quiet. Although we had a router in our room, the wifi was coming and going. I assume it's also because of the thick walls of the riad, but we experienced this in most of the riads, in several cities.

Riad Idrissy was my most favourite Riad in my entire trip travelling around Morocco. The Riad is absolutely beautiful. It is beautifully maintained and in a great part of the medina. The staff were wonderful and friendly and made our stay even better. The food at the restaurant was amazing and the cooks were lovely. I would highly recommend this riad and will stay here for a much longer time if I visit Fes again. I absolutely loved the place, and it made our stay in Fes memorable.

Amazing riad at a quiet part of the medina, recently renovated, you really get the feeling of sleeping in an old mansion. They are part of the acclaimed restaurant "Ruined Garden". We received a free room upgrade, which was greatly appreciated.

being picky I would suggest better attention to detail : -curtains missing from one window in the bedroom wall light off the wall left on the floor , water not always left in the bedroom .. in fairness as soon as it was brought to their attention they put the light and curtains back .

loved the location, atmosphere of the Riad. had the top room. many steps but big & spacious, just out the door was a rooftop patio with view of the city.

loved it all. we took an amazing cooking class there. cooked vegetable tagine & 4 Moroccan salads. really fun

It’s in a great location, has a beautiful look to it, and the “Ruined Garden” area is stunning. Staff are friendly and welcomed me with tea. I’m super glad I stayed here in Fez, because it can be a challenging city to navigate and this Inn was a sanctuary.

Magical location, lovely staff, exquisite manners. Super comfy bed, I slept like a baby. A true oasis of tranquillity.

The breakfast was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice and the gardens were really lovely.

Beautiful old riad with a stunning garden built around ruins. The staff are kind, caring and exceptionally helpful. The courtyard restaurant in the riad is called The Ruined Garden and serves delicious food. At every turn all the rooms and adornments are absolutely beautiful. It's a true oasis in the hectic maze of the Fes Medina.
