Hostel Angelina Old Town, Dubrovnik

The hostel is located in a great position within the walls.
It's also quite a social hostel with plenty of activities going on and opportunities to meet people.
They also have a lot of volunteer staff so they're often helpful and fun and will be in social activities with you.

There's 2 buildings with the hostel, the main area where you check in where there's rooms and another part a 30 second walk away (I stayed in the second building).. In this building there was 1 functional shower between 4 rooms which was located in our room so the other rooms had to come into ours or go to the main area to use the shower which isn't ideal - could leave you waiting a while for the shower.
There was also no curtains in the bedrooms which honestly isn't the end of the world for me but I know a lot of people don't like no curtains.
The furniture in the second building's lobby area was all still wrapped as well - I'm assuming this area will be done up for next years season, but for the price of 50Euros per night it's pretty steep.

Staff: the person that received me was a little rude in the beginning, but at the end of my stay she was really nice to me. The person helping her (Zuzana) was super nice and everybody loved her. Later I've met Nico and he's absolutely amazing. He helped a lot of people during my stay. There was a tall blonde lady that was nice to the guests, but she was rude to the staff.

Cleaning: it was super clean. And they clean all the time. I was in a room with a few teenagers and they can make a mess. But the cleaning team would always do a great job.

Rooms: very good spacing. Locker are big, although a little narrow. The bed was confortable and there was 2 power outlets + individual bed lights.

Toilets: could be better, there was just 2 for men. The mictories were not working.

Showers: good space in the boxes and good water pressure.

Common areas: plenty of space, nice activities everyday.

Extra: the hostel offers tours.

- A little difficult to spot the correct entrance door from outside
- Not nice for someone of the staff to be rude with the other staff, specially in front of the guests.

Location was everything about this stay - right in the heart of the beautiful Old Town

The wifi worked well. A towel was provided. The kitchen facilities and fridge were good. I was allowed to choose which bed I wanted to have. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was nice to have the staff member walk me to the building I was staying in or else I would have never found it. There was a WhatsApp chat with daily updates about activities in the hostel.

No curtains on beds and there are no sockets by the beds (mostly affects top bunks). There are several buildings to this hostel so if you want to socialise on the terrace you have to walk back to the main building which wasn’t far (7 min walk) but annoying if you want to quickly grab something from your room. You have to pay in cash upon arrival. The air conditioning unit was not suitable for the size and layout of the room. The one shower and one toilet were altogether in one bathroom which was shared amongst two bunk rooms (well over 10+ people).

Absolutely perfect stay! exceeded all expectations. The room was spotless, and incredibly comfortable.

The location is ideal — peaceful and quiet, yet just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and local attractions. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure I had everything we needed and knew where things were located.

Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and all amenities were exactly as described (if not better!). I couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing and enjoyable experience. If you’re considering staying here — don’t hesitate. Will definitely be coming back!

Its central property was perfect for touring the city! It was in the center of old town and super easy to get around

The bathrooms in the annex property had no where to hang your clothes or towels except a very small hook, your clothes were on the same door where you took a shower and just not any place to put your stuff.

The location was great, place was clean and tidy, they provide a towel which I didn’t expect, staffs were nice, and bed was comfortable.

One shower and toilet shared with 10 people, kitchen was very basic. No card, cash only which was a bit inconvenient, also they have seven different buildings for the hostel so you might not get to stay at the main one, but I still managed to meet people form different buildings.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was clean. The location was amazing and in the middle of Old Town

The showers were very small and cramped. There was no room to put your clothes without them getting wet so you had to shower very carefully. Although the location was amazing, it wasn’t quiet so there was a lot of noise from outside coming in. The lock to the bedroom was a bit difficult to get into, it got to the point that you had to keep turning the key until it caught the lock and opened the door

This was the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in - rooms & bathrooms. Bathrooms were cleaned daily. All the staff were kind and helpful. I was staying in one of the annexed buildings, so it was a bit further into the old town, but it's all close together. The room had a lockable locker that I locked up my day backpack in with my devices + headphones, but I was never worried about anyone in my room bothering my things or stealing anything - everyone was incredibly kind and I made friends very quickly. Highly recommend as a solo female traveler, and I'd send my friends + family here as well. They have daily activities at the main building + a WhatsApp chat. The stairs are not that big of a deal!

Housekeeping took my one bath towel off my bed, so I had to go to the main building to get another one. I also wasn't allowed to move beds in between when a new group came in, so my bed ended up being in the middle of a group of friends during the second half of my stay. Neither of these things was a big deal, but just something to note!

If you are looking for a calm hostel and silence at night, then it’s not the place for you.Its very noisy at night due to the parties in the town.

Right in the center of the old town. Perfect location. Staff were so nice and let you leave your bags after checkout which is nice.

Owner of this object, should invest money in some sotwares and daily paper stationary for reception. They took a photo of my passport, because they do not have a proper softwares and equipment for reception. This is against GDPR policies!!!!
Towels in my private room had some stains and hair.
I have booked private room in separate building. There was a lot of noise, but due to some guests.

Clean, great lockers, excellent location, great kitchen,lots of toilets and showers, bunk beds were solid and did not squeak.

The price when I booked was much less than I was asked to pay at the property.

The hostel was very conveniently located in the center of the old city. The main location of the hostel does not have the view in the pictures but I preferred it because I didn't have to climb stairs. The facilities were cleaned constantly.

In the bathrooms they don't have enough hooks and shelves to hold your things while showering. Also if you forget to remove something from the stall, when they clean the stall they'll throw it away.

Very nice hostel in old town Dubrovnik. You cannot find better location that this one.
Don’t forget to bring the earplugs, all the bars and restaurants and just there so you will obviously hear the noise. But with the earplugs, you are good. The beds are very good, I would say they have new mattresses are new. I would definitely come back

In a secondary building a few minutes away from the main building without kitchen or terrace, but still really good location. Room was nice, people were nice, bathrooms were nice.

This is a lively and social hostel which i highly recommend esp for solo travellers. I've met a lot of great people and became friends with them. The hostel's group chat is fantastic! You can join, invite or organise activities and exchange infos with other guests. You'd never get bored in this hostel!

The annex bldg is quite hard to find. I've lost my way many times.🤣 But aside from the 2 unruly french guys who were in our room for a night, everything's fine and the annex is a little bit quiet than the main one. And it's closer to the cliff diving spots.

The owner, he is very warm and polite and welcoming. Then the rest of the staff was nice. Romi a very welcoming person in the hostel. Thank you for making my stay nice and introducing me to new friends. The silence policy after 10 is great. People take it. I had a great safe time and drank and lived and walked.

The lockers in bedroom sound a lot, at night make a lot of noise.
