Availability of air conditioning, though fiddly to get going because if the balcony door is not very tightly locked then it will not start.

Staff were friendly. My family and I could have small talk with staff at breakfast/reception without being distracting. They offered to check ferry timetables to Hvar as a result of a casual conversation about nice places to visit in Croatia.

Fridge in hotel room was highly welcomed. In the warm May weather it was essential for keeping snacks and drinks cool.

The fact there was a balcony in such a nice area made the morning and evening air very relaxing.

The main bus station in Dubrovnik is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. This is the final stop for the Platanus airport shuttle bus so it meant we had no issue carrying our hand luggage from the bus to the hotel.

There was a generous amount of black tea and coffee stocked in the hotel room. The hotel's facilities team restocked the room every day when it ran out.

Beds were comfortable but I only slept well after figuring out how to get the air conditioning going.

Supermarkets are a stone's throw from the hotel. A large supermarket, Konzum, and smaller shops like Studenac are less than a 15 minute walk away.

The breakfast at the hotel was delicious and plentiful. There were freshly cooked hot dishes like fried eggs and spring rolls along with fresh puddings, pastries, bread, and cereal.

Wifi performance was very good in the room. It is not gigabit fibre speed but more than enough for streaming TV/movies and browsing the internet.

It is possible to walk to the Dubrovnik old town from the hotel. It takes about 30 minutes with a few hills. However, there are also plenty of orbital buses travelling between Gruz and the old town.

There are a number of restaurants and bistros within a 20 minute walk from the hotel. One of our favourites was Amici Cafe and Bistro. They serve alcohol, fresh pastries, and full dinners with appetisers and main courses.

There was a lack of a complete TV service in the room. While there was a good variety of channels in multiple languages, several channels like Euronews did not work despite showing on the TV guide.

The password for the Wifi is very poorly chosen and if leaked outdoors then there may be loiterers around the hotel using it. Ideally, it should be random alphanumeric text that is changed regularly.

The staff were lovely, from the moment I arrived until I left. They were knowledgeable, helpful and keen to ensure guests had a pleasant stay.
The breakfast options were great with the breakfast room being comfortable.
For my stay the location was perfect and the local buses were a great way to get to and from the old town

We loved the hotel as it was spotlessly clean. The staff from reception where very pleasant and helpful regarding advice about the attractions. Also the breakfast had a lovely selection of choices to suit all tastes. The girls at breakfast where also exceptionally friendly and always so pleasant with a little chat every morning

Only thing I could say was the rooms were all set on temperature.

We had a room with a balcony so it was bliss to be able to,open the door and have fresh air in the room. Shutters allowed security to enable this. The hotel is modern and well placed for the ferry and bus station,also local buses which run every 15 minutes to get to Old Town. Best thing was the staff, so helpful and friendly. They wanted to engage with you.

It’s a long walk from old town so you have to get familiar with the buses pretty quickly. That said, it’s no big deal.

Very friendly and helpful staff, a very nice room, and a very tasteful breakfast. Hotel is situated a short walk from the bus station and city bus no 8 stops just outside and takes you to old town, otherwiase a 2 kilometre walk up and down. I did not check the pool area, but I think there is a pool for summertime. Price level maybe high, but also due to the touristic area I suppose. However, worth the price.

The staff were amazing and nothing was ever an issue. Staff member gave us a personal hotel magnet which my wife wanted and they were so kind.

Would have liked a bath in the room but understand they don't have one. Very excellent hotel

My elderly Mother and I had a wonderful stay at the Berkeley. The staff were amazing. So friendly and helpful. Anja and Maria in particular. My apologies for forgetting the name of the lovely lady at breakfast too. It was a 5min walk to get to the bus stop and 10 mins to the bus station. I would definitely return to this hotel and will be recommending it to my friends.

1. The Spa, pool and fitness center were under renovation and hence not available to the guests. This could have been communicated before.

Central to bus station and just a short hop into the old town. Breakfast was great and the staff were all friendly.

Unfortunately the swimming pool and spa closed for winter, and the bath towels were a bit rough. Also the rooms seemed a little dated, with the climate control didn’t seem to be controllable.

There was such an air of friendliness from the whole staff . Anja, Marja and Ines were especially kind and gracious in suggesting sights in their beautiful city of Dubrovnik . Anja and Marja also help facilitate us staying longer than we had originally planned . It was a gift of warmth and hospitality they shared with
