The staff was outstanding in assisting with any questions, recommendations or requests. We liked it so much that we re-booked on our way back home going through Santo Domingo.

Position is great to visit the colonial zone. The historic building is amazing and the furniture is lovely. Room was nice and bed was comfortable. Check in and out was quick . Swimming pool very cute.

Service at the pool and restaurant are too slow. AC in the room too strong and impossible to fix it. Noise coming from outside, constant drilling that is not temporary and can be heard easily from the room from early morning until evening.

The staff is very knowledgeable about the structure and history of the place.

The rooms are very small for the price and it looked nothing like the pictures online.

This hotel is a unique stay, as the former home / mansion of the first Spanish governor of the area. The building was expanded and now is run by a Dominican company on behalf of the government, which continues to own the facility. The whole site is very impressive, very historic, with all the charm that that conveys. One of the most unique properties I've ever stayed in and would absolutely stay there again. Walking distance to Parque Colon, nearby museums, shopping, the cathedral, as well as many restaurants, bars, etc. Excellent location.

Really, there was nothing I didn't like about the property or the staff. Everyone was very nice, accommodating, gave great recommendations, even went out of their way to find a taxi to take me to dinner one night when I underestimated the distance to the hotel.

Location is absolute perfect. Breakfast is top local DR food, staff is wonderful, parking is great benefit as you are at the heart of the old city

The location is perfect for anybody spending a couple of days in Santo Domingo. centrally located in the heart of the old colonial district

This is my favorite hotel. I love the decor, the history, the feel everything. Food was delicious and they made the best coconut mojitos.

The location cannot be beat. The old world charm is just wonderful. The room was quiet and clean. The workout room was adequate and I appreciated having a quiet, cool space to use for this purpose. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was very good. It was amazing to be so close to a wonderful supermarket as well as the excellent local open air restaurants.

The room I was originally checked into had a very strong lacquer/paint smell, so I had to switch, but this was taken care of efficiently. The checkout process for our group was quite cumbersome and wifi was weak.

this hotel was even better than I expected! the location was great, right in the center of things, and the staff were so friendly and helpful! the room was spacious and beautiful, and the terrace and pool were so nice. the decor was vintage and lovely. it was comfortable! we loved it.

Tight bathroom facilities Broken shower fixture that had to be quickly repaired for use that night Heavy leakage from shower doors that created water puddles on the tight bath floor Minimal towels provided Service staff at breakfast were slow and unresponsive (waited 15 mins to get a capucinno) Kitchen not able to quickly deliver on a basic order for an omelette.
