Shinola Hotel, Detroit

Dinner was wonderful in the hotel restaurant. Staff was great, professional and very helpful.

Housekeeping didn’t come until late afternoon. To be fair she tried to come in the morning around 9 but we were still there. Out of th room all afternoon.

Valet services could have been much better. The direction was fairly inaccurate at times for our guests we had for an event which caused some headaches.

Noise on Woodward sounded like Indianapolis Speedway. Area rug in room was frayed and in terrible shape. No need to change rug until after the NFL DRAFT

Location was excellent. Vibrant surroundings, clean comfy rooms and the shower was amazing. Loved the Bluetooth book shelf speakers in the room and the large comfortable king sized bed.

The room rate was quite high $475 US for one night. We were there for a wedding. The room and facilties were beautiful.

This hotel was fantastic. From the moment the valet opened our car door, it was a wonderful stay. The room was large and light. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was great. Super soft towels. Great smelling bath accessories. Hardwood floors. And the location was fantastic. A 10 minute walk to sports venues and restaurants. We absolutely loved it!

The coffee was good but a little complex to make. A magnifying mirror would have been nice in the bathroom.

This is a beautiful property. Every little detail is gorgeous. If you love design, you'll love this place.

Gorgeously appointed rooms, supple decor, and quiet surroundings made this truly relaxing. The staff was lovely and friendly but not TOO friendly. The subtle elegance was perfect.

The Shinola hotel was everything! Monet was the receptionist and helped us right away, we had the best time in the Cass King it was sublime. Detroit excellence!

For me the real value is the staff. They are cream of the crop and are always pleasant, helpful, and attentive to our needs. Quick with a greeting & meeting our needs promptly.

One of the nicest hotels I ever been! The staff were outstanding, very friendly, and a great atmosphere. Valet was super smooth. They let me check in 2 hours early the day of the lions playoff game, I wasn’t planning on being able to check in that early but they accommodated! Very old school fancy hotel. Only a 10 minute walk to Ford field and commercial park. In a very nice part of Detroit aswell! Many food places in walking distance. Would definitely Recommend staying there!

Little pricey but that was expected so I would say NOTHING~

The place had a great vibe and it was so close to everything in downtown Detroit. The accommodations we nice and clean and they even provided champagne since it was my wife and I's anniversary.

Free coffee in the lobby would have been a nice touch!

Well, at 3:30 am a flood of water above 711 came through our bathroom and we had to switch rooms in the middle of the night. The staff was very apologetic and helpful, even taking that night off our bill. But, it was unfortunate to lose that night of sleep. It was no ones fault and that staff took care of us. Additionally, for how amazing everything at this hotel is, the sheets are surprisingly not-soft and uncomfortable—very clean/pressed but rigid.

Great hotel! Really nice staff and excellent location

I am an interior designer so I am picky! I was underwhelmed by the room decor. ZERO art/photos? It was very blank. If the room had a spectacular view then I would get it- but the view was just into the building across the street and we were on the top floor. The bathroom was fabulous.

Loved the vibe of the hotel. We especially appreciated the champagne delivered after we thought we missed the window for the request.

We liked the proximity to everything in the city. We attended a two day concert at Ford Field and a Red Wings hockey game, both only requiring a 10 minute walk. It was much better than find parking and dealing with traffic. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were always clean. Every detail was well attended to.

The cost was high but the quality was exceptional.

The hotel was excellent. The staff, amenities, food, etc were exceptional. Would definitely stay again!

Everything!! Best hotel I have ever stayed at. It’s so clean. Comfy beds. Big shower and bathroom. The staff was amazing!! The valet, the staff taking our bags to room. You felt like a queen/king staying here

It was a fantastic location and beautiful building. The room was super cozy and clean. The staff was very helpful and very friendly.

Very clean and comfortable but more importantly, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. So refreshing to see.

A little pricey but I would expect that price for what we got. Still seemed like a fair price.

We stayed at the Shinola for a wedding. The food provided by the Shinola was incredible, the best wedding meal I've ever had. We had great service throughout the festivities. The venue was superb.

The carpet in our room needs cleaning. More attention to cleaning and touchups in our room is needed.

The staff were all very friendly and the rooms were clean.

The valet parking was a little confusing to get to and the lightening wasn't great in the room.

beautiful boutique hotel and wonderful across the board. food was great. location was great. staff was friendly. and everything is just nice to look at. the details really matter, and they were exceptionally detailed! Plus it's nice to be able to pick up some shinola goods or madcap coffee in the mornings. and mister dips burgers and shakes are killer.
