The Marriott Mena House, Cairo

The pyramid view from our room was excellent. Worth having if you are in Giza for a short time. The pool was also beautiful and grounds well maintained. There is also a high level of security as you come in.

We went for a walk past the original part of Mena House and were ushered into the construction site which seemed odd by a staff member and then taken into a surprise jewellery/ tourist gift shop in the middle of the construction site. Interesting by Western standards this would not be allowed without a safety induction to be let into a construction site. Like everywhere in Egypt tourists seem to be ushered away into a tourist store and pressured to spend USD, despite being told ‘there is no pressure’ to spend.

What is there not to like. From the guarded entrance to the memorising pyramids welcoming you in. Service was 5* 10/10 with nothing to complain about. The food the drinks the massages were all beyond reasonable pricing! The pool area was so quiet and spacious with amazing staff and services. If you want to stay in Giza and have a true authentic experience this is the only place to be at. We had the pyramid view room and simply breathtaking. Can’t wait to come back asap.

The view is breathtaking, the location is little annoying due o ongoing works in the streets, but in general location is amazing because of pyramids view, breakfast is very good, hotel is clean and the staff very helpful, the cost is high but considering the view and the services could be fair to limits.

The cost and the traffics, also the entrance for taxi's could be improved to find easier way to pick-up and drop-off the visitors.

Fantastic views, unbeatable location, and the staff are incredible! This is a MUST stop when visiting Cairo!

Could not fault anything about the property, however the sandwiches and burgers at their restaurant 139 Pavilion weren’t the best, however the seafood pasta was one of the best I’ve ever had so it more than makes up for it! And the view is worth 10 stars alone!

The location was spectaculair! Breakfast or dinner with the pyramids in the background. And walking distance, 10 minutes, from the pyramids.

The room we had was a bit older. It was perfect clean but the shower was in de bathtub and really small and low.

legendary hotel, the location can’t get better. everything was brilliant and exceeded our expectations. upon checking in, the very friendly Donia offered us a free upgrade with a partial view of the Pyramid, which was wonderful. the room itself is spacious, clean, comfortable and cold enough in the hot Cairo weather of July. the pool is clean and well maintained and the changing rooms were clean. we also tried the Indian restaurant: The Moghul Room which was nicely decorated, food and service were brilliant. finally: to the highlight of the visit: the breakfast buffet: lovely staff, amazing selection, fresh and delicious bakeries and desserts and the view was just wonderful. thank you to the staff that made our visit wonderful, specially to Donia. gladly again

Everything was excellent, I did not have the view from my room I would have liked but was very accessible to all the views, the view of the pyramids from the patio of the restaurant was beautiful, I was very happy with the hotel and staff everyone was exceptionally pleasant and professional

Nada and sandy in reception and nada from house keeping went above and beyond to make us feel as welcomed and comfortable as possible. The view and history of the place was absolutely majestic. Would definitely recommend to couples and families

The location was unbeatable! With a view of the pyramids from nearly every angle within the grounds of Marriot Mena House. The staff were very friendly and worked hard to deliver excellent service and cleanliness throughout the hotel.

I would have loved if Marriott Mena had a convenience store where we could easily pick up things like sun block ect.

EVERYTHING! From Security reception on day one to the checkout on day 4 was exceptional. Staff was helpful, friendly and always had options to resolve things. Location is unmatched, clean hotel, brilliant restaurants (3 of them).

There is nothing to add here. It is difficult to improve something already perfect.

Reception shape and arrangement are not good

Exceptional location with views from my Balcony of the Pyramids. 139 Pavilion views were spell binding and the garden is lovely. Good size rooms, good swimming pool and Gymn.

Bathrooms need upgrading. The food quality in 139 Pavilion needs improvement.

Breakfast with the pyramid view is available to everyone and is honestly once in a lifetime. There is everything you need right there and staff are more than happy to arrange anything and everything for you. Giza is unsettling to stay the least. Here you can celebrate the majesty of the pyramids without the chaos and the pressure. The pool area is also wonderful with food and drinks brought straight to your lounge chair.

Accessibility can be a challenge for less mobile people - distances between restaurant & rooms; pathways aren't flat etc BUT this isn't unusual for Egypt in general (accessibility isn't high on the list of must haves) Definitely doesn't take away from the comfort of stay or wonderful staff who go above and beyond to assist your every need!

Historic hotel with a fantastic location opposite the pyramids. Three very good restaurants, the Indian was particularly good. Very good pool and sun terrace too.

The views of the pyramids from the hotel and the room are breathtaking! The staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. The buffet restaurant is outstanding and the chefs are ready to prepare extra food for you if desired. The pool is excellent and we enjoyed the whole pool area.

Perhaps the best breakfast view going... Beautiful grounds, comfortable beds and it keeps the Giza at bay as well...food was ok; a bit bland but lots of choices. All in all a great way to start our Egypt trip

Very pricey, and the place is a little....errrmmm...worn.... but sheesh, that view!!

There was no shower in the room and if you are tall you don't fit well in the bath. The rooms should be renovated.
