Magnolia Boutique Hotel, Buenos Aires

Great location close to bars and restaurants of Palermo The hotel staff were all so obliging and incredibly helpful.

Only a small observation that the hotel has a wonderful sun-deck on the 2nd floor that would have been perfect for relaxation after a day’s sightseeing, but sadly offered no shade from the sun. As a suggestion how about some sun umbrellas?

Sorry we are British and like a kettle in our room but we understand this isn’t what happens elsewhere. We asked for hot water and could have coffee in the morning from whenever we wanted. So all fabulous

I felt very much at home with the staff at Magnolia. They were very helpful in providing a public transit card and advice. They were one of the only places in BA that had decaf coffee which was good and much appreciated. The breakfast was one of the best I've had at any boutique hotel worldwide. And my room was particularly nice, very luxurious with a great shower/tub and very comfortable bed. And a strong hairdryer to boot. The location is good, quiet but easy to get to restaurants, many busses, and the metro.

Absolutely adored this hotel. One of the best places we have ever stayed. Beautiful common spaces (including two gorgeous terraces) and large, airy room with a balcony. The staff were extremely lovely and helpful. Location is superb: a short walk to the centre of Palermo Soho. Could not recommend this hotel more highly!

They couldn’t do enough for the guests and all staff were extremely friendly and just made our stay even better. Would definitely stay here again if I came back to Buenos Aires! Bathroom could do with an update

Beautiful, well-located hotel. Quiet, spacious room + enclosed outdoor patio/seating area; nice touches including a 'welcome' bottle of wine. Lovely, attentive staff - we appreciated their recommendations for restaurants, etc. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Palermo Soho has a vibrant neighbourhood feel with its beautiful streets, restaurants, outdoor patios, cafes, boutiques, markets, bakeries, etc. .

We had a fantastic stay at Magnolia. The staff were exceptionally helpful and spoke excellent English, assisting us in booking several excursions with effortless communication via WhatsApp. The hotel strikes the perfect balance between being cozy and efficient. Breakfast was a standout, with some of the best scrambled eggs I've ever tasted. The location is good, with all bars and restaurants within easy walking distance, yet the street itself is pleasantly quiet. Our room was at the very top and featured a spacious balcony (not much view due to high walls but still nice). We also enjoyed the shared rooftop space; while there is no food or drink service available there, it’s a lovely spot to relax. Overall, Magnolia offers a great value-for-money experience. Highly recommended!

Some minor maintenance issues such as peeling paint on the wall near the bathroom and a toilet flush system that wasn't working well. I would have liked slightly more comfortable bedding as well.

Getting in & out the bath to have a shower was difficult

The staff was wonderful, welcoming and incredibly helpful. The mattress was perfect, and the breakfast was superior for Argentina.

The street outside the room was noisy but nothing that a pair of earplugs couldn’t deal with.

We absolutely loved our stay at this Hotel. It was so beautifully set up with attention to detail. The staff were attentive, helpful and very welcoming. It was a lovely atmosphere - a haven to come back to after days of sight seeing. The breakfasts were yummy and a great way to start the day.

Really cozy and stylish boutique hotel in the heart of barrio Palermo. Just wanted to mention the incredible attention and availability of the staff on always providing incredible effort in helping us, especially allowing us to do an unexpected last minute comeback at 3am due to issues with our flight. The hotel gives you the experience of how it might have felt living in a home at the turn of the 20th century but with modern amenities (including an elevator to take you upstairs with your luggage). I loved the open air courtyard. The decor was artsy and tasteful with very comfortable furniture. The room was very spacious and filled with lovely wooden furniture to complement the wooden flooring. The breakfast was delightful. You have the choice of having it downstairs or in your room. We chose to go to the dining room simply because it had larger tables and it would be easier get refills of coffee and juice. The welcome drinks were very welcome indeed. The location in Palermo was perfect - without crowds bustling outside your hotel door but near enough to a bunch of great restaurants and elegant shops, with kiosks for snacks and drinks nearby, and even neighbourhood eateries and grocers in the vicinity. The bed was very spacious and comfortable. As with all the other boutique hotels in Argentina, it didn't come with tea and coffee making facilities or bedroom slippers, both of which would have been a nice rich. But by far, the best part of this hotel were the staff - genuinely helpful and friendly, speaking English well. The staff here were the best we encountered in Argentina, and given the service staff everywhere else were already good, that's really saying something. Great value for money and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Everything was perfect

My room had enough space and was always clean. The staff was quite helpful, providing us with information about the city and easily attending general requests. Breakfast quality was fabulous with plenty of choices for a healthy and delicious meal.

Room decoration and facilities were poor and did not meet my expectations for a boutique hotel. It was too minimalist, it definitely lacks warmth and cosiness. It offers no minibar, no coffee machine, no kettle, no useful hairdryer, no complimentary bottled water....

The staff were wonderful and super helpful, which was very reassuring. The room itself was lovely and spacious, with access to an outside terrace on either side. The breakfast was good, and it was an added bonus that you could have this delivered to your room.

The only disappointment I had was the bathroom, which didn’t seem to reflect the style/decor of the rest of the hotel or room. It was extremely plain and basic, and wasn’t too dissimilar to something you would find in a hospital. Also, the door to my room was very close to the restaurant and seated guests.

This is delightful boutique hotel in a perfect location in Palermo. The reception staff are especially helpful and friendly and speak excellent English. Breakfast is very good, on my last day I had an early flight and they arranged transport and provided breakfast at 4.30am! Highly recommended

An excellent boutique hotel in a courtyard house in Palermo. The location was perfect on a quiet street very close to the restaurants, bars and shops of Palermo and the staff were very helpful and kind. Overall it felt like home and would definetely visit it again.

Location was perfect and staff was outstanding in every respect. They were gracious in storing some of our baggage when we went to Igauzu for the night and advised on the Saturday markets at the Plaza Serrano

There was nothing to dislike

The hotel was lovely with big rooms that are very clean. The daily breakfast was great and the staff were amazing. We did laundry at the hotel and was very happy with this service. The location is great also with many restaurants and bars close by, as well the bus stop to take you further afield. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would definitely recommend for any travellers.

A lovely historical mansion in a wonderful and very safe part of Buenos Aires. Rooms have high ceilings and feel spacious. The staff are absolutely delightful - so friendly! The roof terrace is a lovely place to unwind with a glass of Malbec after a strenuous day in the city. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby.

For a boutique hotel we felt that the room could have had a bit more ‘love’ - The only thing that’s hanging on the wall is the TV while you would expect more decorative touches in a boutique hotel. It’s a detail but still :)

The staff were so lovely and helpful. They arranged dinner and a tango show for us and both places were great. Their breakfasts were wonderful. There is a cafe down the street 1890 that we ate at which was very good. The hotel is in a very quiet and safe area.

This is a lovely boutique hotel in an excellent location in Palermo, Buenos Aires. It's on a relatively quiet street close to restaurants and parks. the hotel has some very comfortable spaces--large lobby/library area, a small outdoor courtyard, and a small rooftop pool and sitting area---so there are a number of areas to relax when you are out of your room. Nice sit down included "served-breakfast" rather than a buffet. Best of all were the staff---they could not be more service oriented!
