L’Hotel Palermo, Buenos Aires

The exterior was gorgeous, loved the courtyard, loved the location, the staff were accommodating, and, the best part, there was a neighborhood cat hanging around(!!). The AC unit in the room was so quiet and was really excellent in keeping the room the desired temperature.

The room was really small and uncomfortable. The sheets were stiff and starchy, it was cramped, the furniture needed to be upgraded, and the bathroom was so small that water from the shower gets everywhere and you can't fully stand in front of the sink.

The place is a shit hole, lobby looks so dirty and disgusting that my wife refused to stay there

Hotel ignored my pre-booking request for a quiet room. Was assigned one of only a few street facing rooms which was exceedingly noisy. Totally disrupted sleep. For a “superior” room it was very small and basic and smelled musty. Breakfast was pretty basic.

Room is cozy, bed comfortable, there's AC (otherwise it's boiling hot inside), lovely backyard with swimming pool, breakfast is perfect, lot of options. It's overall a lovely property.

Bathroom is tiny (but I'm not surprised, it's the same everywhere in BA), and the smoke detector makes flashing lights even during the night which is... Surprising. Had a hard time falling asleep...

Noisy cleaners early outside door. Staff on reception. One was lovely and chatty and friendly two didn’t even lift their heads most days until I had said good morning or good night. Room was clean but very basic. Saw better rooms online think was given the basic room as a lone traveller.

We had a pleasant stay in Buenos Aires. Palermo is a lively area with great dining options like Fogon and Don Julio within walking distance. Many thanks to the front desk and especially to Jose for allowing us to check in early and for organizing our transfers from the airport to the hotel and to the port. The breakfast was good, and the location is excellent.

Loved the historic look and feel of this hotel, located in a cool neighborhood reasonably close to the airport. The staff were extremely accommodating and the rooms were very comfortable! The breakfast setting and food were also excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Location is the best thing going for it. Some staff members were very professional and friendly at the front desk. Not all though.

The breakfast was very poor compared to what similar level hotels offer in Buenos Aires. Our room was dated and run down. Bathrooms need an urgent upgrade as the old look has now got very old and deteriorated. It’s not what you see on their site.

Particularly Julieta and Clara Good breakfast.. they even offered to do breakfast early as we had an early ferry departure We stayed in two of the suites with their own terraces.. weather was atrocious while we were there so couldn’t use but would imagine it’s great in the sunshine So nice to stay in a hotel with character.. think of faded grandeur with a modern interior Really close to AEP airport if you have a choice - the hotel organised a transfer to pick us up

We have stayed at BENS L'Hôtel Palermo for multiple visits. The proximity to all that BA has to offer is prime. The room and breakfast are consistently excellent. The entire staff is helpful and responsive. The BENS L'Hôtel Palermo team surprised us with a new AC unit while we were away for a few nights, and supplied us with a small refrigerator to accommodate our needs as we extended our stay. The team's care and maintenance for the property is reflected in the well manicured and beautiful courtyard.

The best attribute of this hotel is its location. My wife and I could walk anywhere within the Palermo neighborhood. The yellow hop on/off bus has a stop, 2min from the hotel which was super convinient. Breakfast was a plaisant surprise buffet style with lots of pastries, fruits, eggs and coffee. The staff was amazing! Super helpful and gave plenty of tips and recommendations.

The room was very basic with a thin mattress not quite comfortable. There was a small sewer smell is our bathroom but the building is over 100yrs old.

Beautiful small hotel in very good location. There are a lot of good restaurants and bars close by, nice area to just walk around. Hotel has small relaxing garden and nice pool. Bed was very comfortable and linen really good quality. Rather good breakfast if compared to other hotels in Argentina. Reception staff was very nice, they allowed us keep our rooms additional 2 hours for free, so we were able to have shower before heading to the airport.

The walkway in the garden is built with separate stones, when people go with their luggage there, it makes quite a big noise. This was rather disturbing in early morning. Probably would be good to have more even path for luggage strolling.

After booking the suite, the room was not as per the pictures. With a much smaller terrace and different furnishings. Run down, terrible breakfast.

We stayed here 10 years ago and remembered the hotel as an oasis of peace in a busy, popular location in the heart of Palermo

The hotel is lacking maintenance and unfortunately we didn’t get the lovely rooms in the older building as we remembered them. Our rooms were quite small, although proper.

The area is beautiful, full of life, restaurants, cafés, tango Club. The hotel was quiet and peaceful and the garden was lush and cooling with the pool!

Everything was great. Friendly and helpful in all aspects during my stay. Nothing was a problem, with personalised attention when I asked. The hotel location also convenient to shops, restaurants parks plus the tourist bus hop on and off. Thank you all the hotel staff for a my stay with a healthy breakfast to start the day. Great coffee.

We loved the neighborhood and the quaintness of the building. The pool is very nice. The breakfast is good. Bed is comfy and the room was very spacious.

It was just strange that the host made a big deal about our balcony and how great it was…and then we find out that we actually couldn’t use the balcony. We also asked to use their microwave for leftovers and they refused. Just 2 really odd things.

The hotel is a European style boutique hotel with a lovely green space and pool. Very good bed and shower. The staff is extremely accommodating. They held our luggage for a late flight and allowed us to use the common facilities. Restaurant recommendations were excellent.

The location was very good. The breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. The payment was taken a very long time in advance and this made it expensive as we were unable to pay in Pesos using the blue dollar rate so it was not good value for money

It was very strange that there is a pool which when getting there is not in use. I chose this hotel for the pool and garden and the price is therefore not in relation to the expectations.

Room was small, a bit crowded for 2 people and their large bags, could have used a mirror in the living space outside of the bathroom to increase efficiency with getting ready.

The location brought home the joys of solitude and relaxation. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and bathroom accessories. Breakfast selection (hot and cold cuts) freaks have and in good supply

IMO overpriced for the quality of product on offer : very old and poorly designed bathroom, poorly insulated bedroom room , too much noise from both the street and other rooms ( ie: neighbouring room’s alarm clock clearly audible from 4.30am at 15 minute intervals! ) , 1970’s style breakfast - ie: precooked scrambled eggs in a tray, nothing fresh to order , terrible coffee , the basics could have been done so well with a bakery literally over the road , cups that don’t match / sit in their saucers so drink spills everywhere. Small details everywhere which could be forgiven but at the room rate charged expectations are higher . Not terrible but wouldn’t re-book or recommend is the truth. Pity as I was looking for somewhere to stay on a regular basis when visiting family studying in Buenos Aires. Nx

Everything went very well and the hotel is extremely well located in Palermo Hollywood.

The only note to make on this hotel is that they are invoicing you in USD. After some discussion with the hotel staff however, they changed the invoicing to pesos as we were in Argentina.

All rooms need more trash receptacles. A/C not up to par and the two story suite didn't have hot water. No lift to suite but staff willing to carry heavy bags up iron circular steps. Lighting and air circulation in bathrooms not good.

Perfect location. Really helpful staff. I got delicious toasted gluten-free bread every morning for breakfast (celiac). That was a luxury.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful with arranging a taxi to the airport as well as allowing us use of the pool and breakfast area until we needed to depart. The hotel is off the street and very quiet in spite of the nearby nightclubs. The breakfast offerings were excellent.

The bathroom is worn and the shower grout is moldy.

The location was excellent, the hotel was "fine", but old and dirty. The linens were good, but the furniture was borderline unacceptable. Most item were worn out and stained. A good decorator could work wonders...it doesn't need much. Just desperate for refreshing the rooms and property. Staff was accommodating and helpful.
