Be Jardín Escondido by Coppola, Buenos Aires

The Palermo district is a really cool place to stay; feels safe and reasonably quiet at night yet within close walking distance to many, many wonderful restaurants and bars and during the day it's close to lovely boutiques and eclectic shops and interesting areas you just feel like spending time browsing around. The hotel is understated from the outside but once inside the front door, we were greeted by the lovely, friendly and enthusiastic staff who go above and beyond to make you feel at home. We were offered coffee and freshly made cake upon arrival, as our bags were taken upstairs. The whole place feels like a beautiful home full of the personal possessions of the owner, in this case, Francis Ford Coppola. Our room overlooked the courtyard, which is lush with green shrubbery and in the centre, the small turquoise rectangle of a swimming pool. We sat out there for cocktails (not forgetting the mosquito repellant!) before going out for dinner in a great local restaurant 5 minutes away on foot. The delicious breakfast was freshly cooked to order and served by two lovely ladies, always with a big smile! Andres, Ignacio, Roman and Leandro at reception were especially great with advice and tips and helping us organise outings and transfers, which was all very much appreciated. We'd love to go back one day!

Nothing, everything was great, but a couple of extra hooks behind the bathroom door for hanging towels etc would be helpful.

Delicious breakfast. Very individual characterful tasteful hotel. Absolutely lovely. We enjoyed our dip in the gorgeous little jewel of a pool and adored being surrounded by all the plants and greenery. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.

The staff was super helpful and friendly, providing a comfortable experience and providing excellent recommendations. Breakfast was great. The common areas were cozy and nice.

The facilities didn't feel "5 star." They were fine, but didn't quite live up to expectations especially at the price we paid. Our room (and one other in front) was pretty loud, as we had a door that opened to the street so street noise was very noticeable. We still very much enjoyed our stay.

Jardin Escondido ist not your usual hotel. Its an oasis in the busy Palermo area. you get breakfast any time you want. the stuff treats you super well. Its just beautiful and relaxing.

some of the areas feel a bit dated and having the washing basin outside of the bathroom is a bit strange.

This is an exceptional hotel that feels like staying in a very luxurious private home. It is beautifully appointed and the location is excellent but it is the staff that really make it very special - all of them incredibly friendly and helpful with great recommendations (special shout outs to Colin and Ignacio!)

In the vibrant neighbourhood of Palermo SOHO this is the ideal spot to rest and enjoy Buenos Aires. The staff is very helpful, they handle everything you desire in a very friendly and helpful way, the breakfast is great! Wonderful experience.

Even with my meticulous attention to detail, I cannot pinpoint any shortcomings with this venue and its remarkable staff.

The whole stay was fantastic. The staff were amazing from the moment you walk through the door. Colin, Ignacio, Roman and the rest of the team were first class and couldn't do enough to help you and make you feel welcome. Its like staying in a friends house. Can't recommend this highly enough. In my experience this stay was unique for a big city location.

This is an outstanding hotel. Colin and the Coppola team will do everything they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The location is fantastic, the ambience is perfect.

We had a room at the front of the hotel and you either need to be very tired or late to bed if you want a good nights sleep. You need a room at the rear of the hotel unless you plan to arrive back at 5am every night. Nevertheless the staff and the service are so outstanding that this becomes a minor point of dissatisfaction.
