Location was great…walking distance to many restaurants and shops. We booked a river view room and it definitely met our expectations!

History and everything about it

Perfect location, the staff extremely cordial, atmosphere is fantastic. My favorite place to stay while visiting Boston.

The hotel's location was convenient, but the service at the front desk left something to be desired, particularly in terms of the staff's attitude and kindness. Additionally, the room size did not meet my expectations, and while the unique setting of staying in an old jail might appeal to some. I felt there were better options available at the same price point.

There's not really anything good to say.

No drawers, very few hangers so I had a challenge with my wardrobe. The lighting in the room was horrible, especially in the bathroom.

The Clink and Scampo are good restaurants

Small shower, uncomfortable bed & pillows, small rooms, dirty hallway littered with garbage, high room rates for poor value.

Overall extremely beautiful, modern with keeping history in tact. Food was delicious. Staff was wonderful!

Room was absolutely filthy. Sheets had blood as well as saliva. Carpet was stained with hard residue to which looked like vomit. Existing ice was melting and glasses were murky. We’ve stayed several times and always had a wonderful experience. Also, over charged and were to be credited for having to switch rooms late into the evening and credits were never made to us. Also, charged fees of excess of $500 with no specific detail on our bill. Do better especially when you’re go to phrase is committed to excellence!

Interesting Loud as it just next to the Highway

After 2 Weeks they are still holding on to my deposit of 200 $ and although I asked Tahisha at the reception to release my deposit on time she told me she would Not be able to do it. A week later I wrote to the Accounting Team , but Roy Perez still didnt release it. Not Sure why but its a shame

I booked a 2-night stay at the Liberty and had a terrible experience. The DJ played until almost 2 AM, and the soundproofing was awful. When I called the front desk around 1:40 AM to ask when the music would stop, the staff lied, saying it had already stopped and blamed the noise on people outside. It was obviously the music still playing. When I said I couldn't sleep because of the noise, the staff rudely told me I should have known about the DJ from the website. If they mention the DJ, they should also mention the poor soundproofing.

They put me in an adjoining room without telling me. I was next to a room of teenagers and they were very loud....it was like they were in the room with me. The view was of the ER entrance to the hospital and windows were nit soundproof. The lobby on a Saturday night turns into a danceclub.....much more club like than advertised.

Good location. Charles Str is full of nice little shops and cafes. Clean rooms. Ok service. Interesting concept with the prison remade to a hotel. Nice looking lobby.

Rooms are too empty and poorly equipped We had one bathrobe for 2 guests. No umbrella, though Boston is a rainy city. Weirdly no toilet brush (!) 71$ (!!!) for valet parking PER NIGHT. 15$ per day for a not-so-fast wi-fi. 12$ for a bottle of water in the room. Simply too expensive for no reason. Loud music in the lobby at night. Another little thing that bumped for us (considering it’s a “luxury” hotel) is that when we ordered food in the hotel - no one sent it up to our room - so we had to go downstairs at night ourselves when we expected someone to deliver it to us.

The room was fine but got a room on a low floor # facing a wall of the building next to it - likely from using a third party booking company. I tried to take a bath and there was hair and dust all along the top of the water when I went to get in so the tub was dirty. The people next to me literally sounded like they were inside my room. Their invoicing upon checkout is so confusing ( they sent 3 invoices all different) and after obtaining a degree to decipher it I found that they charged me for taking a do not disturb sign and things from the mini bar in the room which I never touch. Beyond preposterous. Also They don’t have a number to call if there is a problem with your bill so hope you like writing emails

suite 301 It was a very romantic stay for me and my new girl friend. we very much like the 2 window view from the room. The room was very clean and the bed was perfect.

Hotel is tired and in need of upgrades. Water pressure low and thin walls. Dusty! They seem focused on the success of their bars and restaurants but not the lodging experience.

This hotel is a 20s and 30s-something party place and bar, with second emphasis only on lodging. Unfriendly bar staff and difficult to navigate valet due to weekend crushing crowds. Would never recommend. Also photos online are deceptive.

3rd time at this hotel, great place but service has changed. Poor management noticed on this trip, caters to outside public more than guest.

A great ambiance an extraordinary setting g preserving history and elevating it to discrete and modern sound comfort and elegance. A very attentive human quality service , the liberty values every penny. It is now our new “home”in Boston.

Clink Restaurant- food was good but the service was SLOW!!! Went there 3 times, so it wasn’t fluke. Need more staff. The wait was UNACCEPTABLE!

The location was great.

I wouldn’t call the hotel luxury. For the price of the room I expected more. There was a fire alarm that went off around 12am which caused an evacuation. That wasn’t fun.

The toilet in our bathroom didn’t work properly. We had maintenance come up but he couldn’t fix it.

I asked for bath tub (not just shower) and got that.

Didn't replenish some of the toiletries (eg soap) Ordered taxi for 4.30 am (to get to airport) and it wasn't there.

Doorman was extremely friendly as was bar-tender and wait staff. Room was extremely comfortable

There was an issue at check in where my card was approved twice for payment. Im over a week now waiting for my card to be reimbursed from a held charge.
