The Kendall Hotel, Boston

A historic landmark hotel, nicely furnished, high feel good and comfortable level.

The location was perfect for our visit it was near the train and very walkable. The hotel was clean and cozy. The theming was really fun and the breakfast was delicious.

The parking area was super cramped and a little scary to try and park in unless you have a compact car.

The hotel is gorgeous! Very clean and welcoming! The rooms are amazing, pretty and comfortable. They welcome you with some snacks in the room. The staff is very friendly and knows to give good advices on what to see in the city and where to find the best food. The breakfast is delicious!

Parking is a bit too expensive ($45) for just one night.

Comfy beds. Thick and luxurious towels. Delicious breakfast. Perfect for a trip to Cambridge and a quick ride with the Red Line to Downtown

Breakfast was good with a variety of fruit and cereals. The staff was friendly and willing to answer questions. Liked the nod to the building's history as a fire house with little touches here and there.

The room was spacious,but seating was limited to just the room chair by the desk. The periphery of the bed had no table for my phone, so I would have to get up and sit up and twist to see what time it was.

Quiet, comfortable beds, and in a great area.

They no longer had a bar or restaurant. Would have chosen a different hotel if we would have been informed that that had changed.

Always a perfect fit for us. Clean, comfortable, affordable, ( has bathrobes). Breakfast good. Perfect parking situation underground. The neighborhood is on the MIT campus with more businesses and Google, but there are a few restaurants across the street. Not the place if you want an evening lively neighborhood.

This hotel is small but really nice. We arrived from Portugal extremely jet lagged and it was nice to have a comfortable bed to sleep in before we started college tours the next morning. This hotel is right next to MIT. The beds are truly queen size with very comfortable linens. The AC worked great. The shower is older but has good pressure. The pillows were all very comfortable. The included breakfast has a good spread of food, including some gluten free items as well. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Would have been nice if the weekend breakfast started at 6:30 instead of 7.

A lovely hotel with character. Staff were friendly and helpful but lowkey. We treated ourselves to the deluxe king room which was very nice - spacious and very comfy bed. Great breakfast buffet.

Our second deluxe on the 7th floor was much smaller and darker than the one on the 4th floor. Luckily our teens liked the attic feel.

Helpful staff, large room/bathroom, very cozy and homely room, very close to the subway. Overall I was very happy and I would stay here again. Lastly, the overall setting/deco of the place with the firefighter theme is very nice.

Breakfast is so-so (American standard), and there is not much room to sit and no proper tables, rather small lounge tables. The room is a bit dark because of the single small window, and there was no good place to hang large coats/suits. Prices, as usual for Boston, are outrageous.

Cool vibe as a boutique hotel themed as firehouse. A block away from the red line T stop. Very solid breakfast each morning (way better than the chain hotels), but not extravagant. Comfortable rooms. Hotel staff very responsive to any needs.

Rooms showing their age a bit... we had 2 different rooms as the AC stopped working in one, they upgraded us which was great but TV didn't work in new room and toilet was wobbly. Given the cost, didn't expect that.

Highly recommend this property, it's got a very homely vibe and super close to MIT campus. The welcome at Reception could have been better especially as I did a 14 hour flight, then again it was a Sunday so I also appreciated getting my room keys in seconds.

No dining facilities other than breakfast. The hotel should convert the restaurant to a coffee/tea shop.

The cleaning staff were very friendly. They did a great job of cleaning our room everyday, replacing towels, etc. Breakfast offerings were good, though we rarely took advantage of it because of our schedule.

Front desk personnel were not very inviting or friendly. Very rarely were they at the front desk and available to answer any questions or make recommendations.

This hotel was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. It was elegant and quaint with character at the same time. The common areas are lovely and spacious. The breakfast was great. Eggs, bacon, potatoes, all types o hot and cold cereals, Wonderful breads, muffins and fresh fruit. Our room was on the top floor with a extremely comfortable king bed. A lovely sitting area, fridge and microwave and fair size bathroom. It is 3 doors down from the subway and surrounded by MIT. I feel I am not capturing the charm of this hotel properly. It is an absolute gem. I highly recommend it. Very close to restaurants too.

I had absolutely no complaints

This charming hotel sits in the heart of Kendall Square. Rooms are spacious, staff is attentive. Great breakfast buffet every morning that inudes dedicated gluten free items and a separate gluten free toaster. Daily wine tasting in the evening is just what you need after a long day.

Thd location of the Kendall is ideal. We loved the boutique hotel and all of the attention to detail.

excellent position, one little issue was that the elevator was not working but I was there only for 1 night. Staff nice and available, No desk space in the room to put your items -- had to move some items on the floor to make a little space. Excellent position for working/visiting MIT + right in front of the red subway line!

The ambiance was really nice . The breakfast was delicious.

We booked a deluxe king which was lovely . Bathroom roomy with wooden chest under the window for toiletries. Warm bathrobes . Comfy armchair and desk chair.

Would have loved a walk-in shower, not the bathtub that was there.

There could be more natural light for the work station and the ambient temperature was a bit too cold at night.

Incredibly expensive (it was Boston marathon weekend). I’d have stayed longer but the cost was prohibitively expensive, even for Boston.

This Boutique Hotel is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. The room was a bit small but very cozy and the bathroom was awesome with a large comfortable jacuzzi tub. All small details made this an amazing stay. The breakfast was very tasty and a decent variety of foods to choose from. Compared to other hotels in the area which do not offer it, it was perfect! The location is right next to MIT and the metro station (15 min to downtown). I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Boston.

Staff is exceptionally friendly. We had a few special requests and the hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate them. The location is also right next to a red line stop which is very convenient.

Stayed here for an MIT meeting. It's a great choice if you prefer boutique hotels over large faceless chains. I had a lovely suite that was so comfortable and a very decent breakfast was also included.

Advertised on site parking difficult to find and then not able to be used - couldn't really get in without potentially damaging car! But local garage close by and easy to use.

Hotel was lovely. Complimentary wine tasting was nice. Lounge area was comfortable and several groups were able to converse easily in the evening over drinks. Breakfast was great. Room was comfortable and clean.

Coffee and tea were basic - no decaf tea nor fresh milk in the rooms. Breakfast the same each day - it was good but would have liked a change after 3 days.

Price of parking 🙄 25$ friday and 45$ saturday. Parking lot was not even full. Therefore with my 2 nights reservationi though Maybe 25$ each night or one night free could have been appreciated!

In our 5 days 4 nights stay, the breakfast are always the same. I hope they have more options.
