Maison La Course, Bordeaux

From the second we walked through the door and greeted by the lovely Lucie, our entire weekend was a magical one. Lucie immediately made us feel welcome by giving us the tour of the Maison and told us to make ourselves at home, even offering some amazing restaurant recommendations for our evening meal (Moelleuses et Persilles - Incredible food, we actually went twice!) We were shown to our room (Uriel Suite) and we were blown away with how beautiful it was with the four posted bed and huge egg shaped bath, every day spotless when we came back. Each evening we arranged for breakfast to be delivered to our bedroom which was the most delicious selection of pastries, tea coffee, breads (with the options for meats eggs and cheese) - Such a luxurious treat to walk into our lounge and find breakfast waiting for us after a fabulous sleep. The location was perfect with everything within walking distance and Clothilde helped us arrange train tickets for a day out in Archachon. All in all, we came away feeling extremely rested, very looked after and 100% very well fed and watered after sampling all the food and wine from beautiful Bordeaux and the vineyards of St Emillion. The staff at La Course is absolutely amazing. Breakfast was terrific. The building is beautiful and the rooms are excellent with great amenities.

Local products throughout the hotel, great living space, delicious breakfast, personal touches, hosts provided a great overview of the city for us and provided recommendations, the wine cellar was great, good location.

It was a beautiful stay. I wish we could have stayed longer. The communication was awesome the transfer from the airport was very smooth, the team at La Course really go out of their way to cater to your needs. The apartment we stayed in was stunning to say the least. Clean, spacious and the bath was a massive highlight. I'm not one for baths but the enormity of it, you just had to take the plunge! Breakfast delivered to the room and of a high quality. You cannot fault this place it really is amazing!! We will be back.

Beautiful decor, large rooms and great facilities. Lovely host, breakfast and staff.

The entire team was so welcoming and caring. The living room and outdoor area was beautiful. They helped book restaurants, tours and gave recommendations for where to go. The breakfast is delicious, homemade, and we even had a chance to eat it on the rooftop terrace! The room itself was glamourous (we had the rooftop suite, and only thing to note is the shower is outside, which is kind of cool). Having the room to see the stars made it feel so cozy! Location was 10-15 minute walk from city center.

No elevator, so older guests may have trouble up stairs. Rooftop suite has to go through outdoors to get to room (when it rained, that was a consideration)

We had a room at the front which was large and tastefully decorated. A little noisy with bikes & cars but only to be expected so close to the centre.

Great homey place With excellent service

Beautifully decorated and charming hotel nested in the middle of Bordeaux. Amazing service and so many extras which makes one’s stay special. For example, we loved using the bicycle for an evening tour in the city. We came last year and will come back next year.

Unique accommodation with high quality appointments. The highlight were the Staff, nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel very welcome. We appreciated and enjoyed the use of the bikes.

Bathroom was beautiful however would have liked the option of a shower.

We loved the town-house feel of being close to the centre of the city whilst in a quiet residential area. The decoration and ambiance of the public areas is fantastic, and everything is so well thought out - from the bicycles which could be borrowed, to the honesty-box kitchen (snacks and drinks) and the beautiful cellar. The breakfast, which we ate in the tiny courtyard, was made to order and was delicious.

The property is beautiful. Every aspect of its design has been thoughtfully designed, decorated and furnished. The room are large and extremely well equipped and decorated

Such a beautiful charming building and home to stay in Bordeaux. This was our second visit to Bordeaux and to Maison La Course and it was wonderful once again and we will return to stay here every time! All the staff are amazing and make this residence fantastic and allow you to enjoy the home and all of its special attributes. Special thanks to you all!!! Breakfast was amazing and made to order and served in the lovely dining room. Located close to the beautiful gardens, playground and carousel for our young daughter to enjoy. close walk to the lovely Chartrons where we enjoyed the beautiful bistro’s and shopping. We walked by foot to all the key landmarks but also close to tram if you prefer not to walk. Highly recommend the Uriel suite and this home away from home in Bordeaux!!!!

Beautiful historic architecture. felt like living in a home. Staff incredibly friendly and accomodating to anything you might want or need. breakfast prepared as you wish.

Having to walk up 2 flights of stairs. In France with very tall ceilings, that meant for us, one level 22 stairs the next was 24 stairs.....every day, no lift, 46 stairs. bathroom a little too modern in that no shower curtain or walls to contain water from shower. Mnimal shelving for person toiletries.

Great location near a beautiful garden and lovely staff to help you find the best places to go. Massive bathtub was sublime.

Was fantastic. Cosy with an extremely friendly staff that made you feel so welcome. Took care of every need and loved that I was able to use a bike to get around the city anytime I wanted!

absolutely beautiful location, building,rooms and staff! it was a home away from home. my 4 & 7 year old daughters were treated so wonderfully. breakfast in the mornings was divine. they went above and beyond for all of our needs. I never like going to the same place more than once but this will be the exception. we can not wait to go back!

Clothilde, Coline, Léa and Lucie went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. Our room, Suite Soires was very clean, specious and the bed was super comfy. The location was perfect, all the main attractions were in walking distance. We loved our walks in the Botanical gardens just outside of the hotel. We would love to stay here in any future visits to Bordeaux!

The pool was stated as heated however despite the staffs best efforts the water was too cold for the whole of our weekend stay

Our room was on the second floor - Superior suite and had a large bedroom, a separate bunk room and large bathroom and separate toilet. it is one of 5 suites. Downstairs is a lovely kitchen dining room and outdoor tables for breakfast which is cooked and served for you by delightful staff. there is a wine cellar and glasses of wine can be purchased. it’s a beautiful old but refurbished three level French terraced place. Lea was incredibly helpful when we were arriving later and provided instructions as to how to access our room via text as well as email. Would definitely stay here again !

I don’t know where to start! This place is a true gem and wish could have stayed longer than one night. So many little details that made the stay feel so relaxing. The bath tub is out of my dreams. The staff were so friendly and warm, and the breakfast was a great. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Loved staying La Course, must be the most friendly and service oriented guesthouse I've been to. Wonderful breakfast and bikes for the guests to use. Too bad we stayed only for one night. Will definitely come back!

Our room had a bath tub with no cover or curtains, making it difficult to shower without splashing down the bathroom. But minor detail really, everything else was really great.

The room was beautiful and even nicer than the photos online. Loved the wine machine and breakfast was great. Perfect location by lots of eateries. Staff was very helpful.

Full included breakfast in our suite at no additional cost was the icing on the cake. Staff knew our names before we had even met them, and couldn't have been happier to help us with recommendations for restaurants and hear how our day was on our return. Facilities and rooms were of the highest standard of quality and cleanliness. Lots of little extra touches such as a mindfulness journal in the room. Very quiet and idyllic location - occasionally heard a car in the distance or other guests faintly in the halls, but otherwise very peaceful.

It would have been nice if more of the snacks on offer (such as the baguettes and spreads) were included - the paper honesty system was a little confusing as we weren't totally sure what we had to pay extra for, so we just avoided it altogether. We read that cakes were included but couldn't find any. We couldn't figure out how to use the coffee machine, so perhaps some instructions next to it would have been helpful. The "hammam" was really just one small room, and treatments were at an additional cost - so I wouldn't really say it included spa facilities. Would have preferred proper shampoo and conditioner in the room rather than just a single generic all-in-one body and hair wash (which turned my hair to straw!)

absolutely exquisite Bordeaux town house with a huge open plan front room and sitting room leading to an outside area and breakfast room. A super warm welcome and brilliant hosts. it was like being part of the family in the dream house. our room was the Green eco room with the balcony and this was thee best room for us because of the outside area and value for money.

the bed was not huge and although it was a double bed, it was a bit of a squeeze for me and my very tall partner. there were not many storage facilities but it was perfect I’m the end for 2 nights.
