Sandyport Beach Resort Nassau, Bahamas

We liked the location and the option of several restaurants and cafes. The beach and lagoon with sun loungers and hammocks was great. We really liked the layout of the apartment, particularly the separate shower and the loo off the living area.

The shower was impossible to control, took ages for the water to become warm and difficult to turn without dripping.

The resort is super nice, there are restaurants, bars, etc to go to Nassau you can go by taxi or by public transit, there are buses going every 10-15mins but askt at the reception about them as they are hard to find

The rooms are a bit outdated, but considering the price it was fine. Room service was slow, I had to ask 2-3 times for something (recepetion was responsive all the time though )

It was clean and quiet. Just what we were looking for on this vacation. Restaurants were within walking distance and the beach was clean and private for this resort. We will definitely stay here again!

The hotel showed in the pictures seems to have the sea in front of it but it is not: it’s a Laguna/river

The staff was excellent - friendly, helpful, top-notch. The somewhat private beach was close, with few other people, nice view, clear water, etc. Room was clean and cleaning staff were on top of things.

The "resort" really doesn't have many amenities - you have to go "off-site" for pretty much any sort of drinks or dining. The doors are THIN and I could hear everything from neighbouring room to the point I asked to change rooms.

The location was great in terms of access to restaurants and shopping. The size of the room in comparison to the price is a drawback as the room was a bit smaller than other resorts of comparable pricing. However the bed was cozy and the room was equipped with many appliances that made my stay comfortable.

The noise from neighboring rooms when they opened and closed their door was an annoyance.

the nicest thing about this resort is that it's quiet and unassuming. No crowds, which we particularly enjoyed! The staff were friendly and Lady Sarah, the concierge, was super helpful with advice and booking off-site activities.

the nearby restaurants are somewhat ho-hum. Decent, but not exceptional food or drinks. The best dinner we had was in nearby "The Poop Deck" (no idea why it's named that way), and the coffee shop & bar across the street, Bon Vivants, was also great. The pool bar at the property was almost an afterthought, and the restaurant that served breakfast was okay.

Great location. Beautiful beach perfect for swimming. A few lovely restaurants within walking distance. Safe area. Very nice staff. Bus to town goes from just outside the resort.

Some small things need to be fixed or replaced. Shower water smelled rather sulphuric. Pool area is good for kids but a bit sad looking.

The resort its self is pretty and very quiet, its attached to Sandyport town that has a salon, gym and serveral Restaurants.cute little place! There’s also a small Public beach across the road. This is the perfect location if you want peace and quiet. It’s a 30min taxi ride into Nassau.the rooms were very clean but old, For the price I woudl expect more! There was a smart TV though. Some of the staff were friendly and some Were not it really seemed to depend on the day. Again, for the price I would expect the staff to say hello when they pass you around the resort, maybe some air freshner in the rooms for check in ( my room smelt like it needed to be aired out) overall happy with my stay but for the price the rooms need to be renovated, in the same colonial style which is cute but modernised. The kitchen and bathrooms are very old. I loved the chilled out energy, sunsets and hamocks.

The front desk staff was absolutely fabulous, and helpful, beautiful beach right on property. Nice breakfast menu, I'm a simple eater but had nice options. Beach bartender was friendly

The staff was great and friendly. The location was different for us due to being located on the lagoon side. The pool area was nice with access to restrooms, food, and drinks. They even run a shuttle to the local market on Sunday. We were able to pick up some supplies. Also, short walks to several restaurants. The on-site restaurant serves a great breakfast every morning.

The premises is pretty large lots of walking to get to your room. Overall its a beautiful place.

The Food options on premises could have been better. A gift shop on the premises or at least some guidance on where to shop for gift would have been nice.

The staff was very professional, kind and helpful. We loved how quiet, serene the property was, no blaring music. Can walk to restaurants-liked Mi & B's deli and Blue Sail, convenience store-Chippy's and very pretty Bon Vivant for coffee & cocktails, breakfast at News Cafe. Loved the hammocks and having the umbrellas on the lagoon. The property looks like the pictures on the internet-our room seemed to be newly painted, which was nice. We liked having the balcony to sit out on. Can take #10 bus for $1.50 into Nassau. Concierge can help you with excursions. Locals were all very nice and helpful.

Could use a couple of new tennis rackets.

The beach was beautiful and quite in January we like this, less people better attention, room was ok, the pillows too high, I got sore neck, very clean and lots of towels excellent, the shower needs to be cleaned better, plus there is not handle into the shower in case an older person falls, my husband had hard time going into the shower, he was afraid to fall . The plastic chairs outside the balcony needs cleaning. Other wise most of the utilities were ok. We had some family with two boys that were very rude in the pool, they were fighting and using profanity language, very rude. Sandyport beach was on the other side of the rd, however the resort beach was perfect for us, private benches, hamacks, . Had everything in the resort, not need to go to another beach .

Shower. The jacucci was perfect for me, however my husband could not go in. But I enjoyed Going to the. Poo Deck restaurant a bit too far away from my husband he could not walk fast and had hard time going there, we did went there twice walking and second time taxi. Too expensive for a short 4 minutes ride. The food there was delicious the first time, but the second time celebrating my birthday the food was not good, the bar in the resort was away too expensive for a drink, they charge me $17 dollars for a drink in a plastic cup. We paid $14 at other places. For the same drink

Great location close to many restaurants

The resort had everything in it. Was super convenient and beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A little bit pricier than in the city places but completely worth it.

The rooms were all on the beach of a lagoon and very close to the ocean. The staff was very friendly.

The rooms were somewhat outdated, the AC didn’t work in the first room.

Lovely rooms and wonderful pool and beach area which was never crowded and was always lovely quiet and relaxing.

Nothing it was all good. We had a couple of small issues with the room when we arrived. The TV in the bedroom didn’t work, the safe was locked open snd there was no TV remote in the living room. We reported this to reception and immediately had a maintenance man come and resolve the issues. Very good service.

The staff was amazing. Miss Sarah was so helpful. The place was cute, didn't feel like this massive high rise places. Loved the hammocks. The beach and lagoon not the best but great as an option.

The mattress was rock hard, needs updated to more comfortable mattress and bed needed to be attached to the head board. Otherwise no complaints.

I loved the beach and the lagoon, both areas are beautiful and quiet. Very nice staff,specially Pam who was always there to accommodate and Taj.

The apartments near the pool can be disturbing because of children.

The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Any problems we had, staff responded quickly, efficiently, and with kindness.

There were a few maintenance issues during my stay.

Staff are lovely, Shante and Pam are amazing help. Everyone says good morning / hello and genuinely want to speak.

The property could do with some modernizing and generally some overhauling / investment - the maintenance guys do an amazing job given the age/ state of what they are working with.

It’s a cozy relaxing place with very nice staff . They will help in whatever you want. The rooms have a lot of space and a useful kitchen

Beautiful place. I couldn't get the views I had if I were in the city.

Maintenance of the lagoon area could have been a bit better, but it wasn't too bad.

Resorts is right across from a beach and is not to far from the downtown area. AC and wifi was working well. Has a convenient store on the resorts and the convenience store has cheaper food options.

Restaurants on the resort were pricy and had too much American food. I ended up eating at the convenience store to save money. This place is not bad but not luxurious, some parts look rusty and the lagoon water stinks.

The beach and pool was very nice the room was okay I really enjoyed the night I was there it was peaceful and quiet. Beds was comfortable

Just walls felt to thin could hear foot steps above and some things didn't work well in the like bathroom sink needed to be fixed and hot water took to long to get hot...needs more things to do at nights

The hot water faucet in the shower was not working and it took two days to have it repaired, though not properly for it then kept dropping. Needs maintenance and repairs on bathroom faucets, kitchen cupboards, door and frame to the balcony from room, handrail of stair case

The room was wonderful for us and our teenage daughter - slider opened out to a little sitting area right on the beach! We had a king bed suite with a kitchenette, 2 bathrooms and a sofa bed. Breakfast was delicious - we had avocado toast with poached eggs and french toast, fruit, etc. The beach shack made us yummy conch fritters and frozen drinks! All the staff at the were friendly and helpful - a special shout-out to Pam and Lady Sarah for their hospitality!

Sofa bed needs to be replaced. The springs at the bottom were all detached and the mattress was falling through the frame. This is not Sandyport's fault but just an fyi that we did not rent a car because they drive on the left and it was difficult to get any where without using a taxi, (and the prices for taxis varied every time). We tried to take the bus one day but it never came.

The beach was wonderful and it had this amazing blue water.It was a short distance from the resort and went there many times during my stay. The water was warm and very clear.

Good location, nice resort with it's own beach and the public beach around the corner. Few restaurants around, public transport to the downtown nearby. Very nice staff (Bahamians seem very nice and helpful in general). Fairly close to the airport.

Rooms could be better maintained. The door from the cabinet under the sink fell out on our first day there and we had to fix it, couldn't get a safe working. We initially also struggled to figure out how to get the shower working and when we did it, we got water pouring from the tap and the shower at the same time.

The location and grounds were good but there were areas that seemed a little dated. The location and quality of the breakfast dining area was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The security was good. There were dining options close by.

Our room wasn't as clean as it should have been. There were multiple long hairs on the shower walls and around the edge of the tub. It made me wonder about the cleanliness of things that we couldn't see.
