Fantastic location
Service at breakfast was very good but dinner the food and service at dinner were awful The food was way below what should be expected at a 5 star hotel and we were left serving our own wine as the waiter couldn’t be bothered. Every staff member we spoke to at dinner said they were tired. No attempt at delivering good service.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come stay with you with that furniture and carpet
You need to change all the furniture and the carpets…The bathroom ottoman too …I would suggest getting furniture from Griffiths & Griffiths then the charge per night would make sense.You have a great location but you are not providing luxury at all !You can’t even compare to One and Only but you are charging more than them

What’s not too like about this place from the actual building to the interior everything is so well thought out I just loved the attention to detail in everything. Very friendly staff, good food, close to amenities and restaurants.

Breakfast was perfect, the variety of delicious items served each morning was fantastic. The hot chocolate was outstanding too.

I can't say enough great things about The Silo. I had read all the rave reviews about the architecture, the service, the rooftop pool/bar before booking my stay... the last night of a milestone mother/daughter birthday trip. It was a splurge, but it was a special occasion so I booked us the Duplex Suite. I had noted the birthdays on my reservation and when we arrived we were given such a warm welcome by the staff and they said they had a birthday surprise for us (we thought it was early check in since we arrived a few hours early).
We were given a tour of the hotel's common spaces (all perfectly decorated with curated pieces and local art) along with a glass of champagne but weren't prepared for our last surprise when we were walked down the hall and escorted to our upgraded room... the Royal Suite. This was easily the most luxurious of accommodations we had ever stayed in. Two beautiful rooms, two beautiful bathrooms, the interior design details, a bottle of champagne chilling and a birthday treat -- every detail was perfect.
Management went above and beyond throughout our entire stay and truly made the last day of our birthday trip so special and unforgettable. If you find yourself in Cape Town don't pass up the opportunity to stay at The Silo.
The rooms were so nice we hardly wanted to leave them.
