The aesthetic of the building was gorgeous, and the lift was beautiful - not so much if you're in a rush. The location was brilliant, we love staying on Bath Street and the parking was so handy. Friendly staff who are very accommodating. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but heard it was delicious so will try it next time we stay. It was a bit more expensive than we would normally pay in a place we are staying, it may be worth offering a discount upon arrival.

The room we stayed in could use a little TLC, we did mention a couple of areas on the way out, hopefully be looked into and repaired. Improvements can only be made if the staff are informed which we try to do wherever we stay - not as a criticism, just recommendations to make the stay better

Room was quite hot due to the weather being so lovely and couldn’t open the window air con didn’t seem to blow out cold air and was a little noisy so didn’t have on during the night

The staff were amazing! Particularly Halle and Morgan who helped me order a surprise for my girlfriend to the hotel, they were superstars!

Comfortable, not to far from the city centre. Easy to find.

Very noisy, lots of door slamming, old style lift (looked good, but not practical). Lift didn't work on a number of occasions. Advertised a restaurant on site, but not operating with no reason given.

Courteous and friendly staff on check in. Spacious and comfortable room, was concerned it would be noisy as our room was out to the main road but it was fine. Location to main shopping areas was walking distance so that was good.

Bed was not the biggest and way too squashy a mattress. I understand you can't please everyone but it was very very soft and really not great for your back. Drinks in the bar were quite expensive for what they were. Breakfast was tasty but had to ask for sweetners. They were solid when they came so packets had maybe got damp somehow. I ended up nipping to my room to get sweetners from my work bag. Other than that was fine.

Chosen for its style and history, receptionist was lovely on check in, room perfect and clean, bed very comfortable, loved the lift and decor throughout , we opted to include breakfast in booking, food was good and plentiful portions

Probably time for the bathroom to be upgraded and size of bathroom small in comparison to the bedroom space. This did not present any problems really as the shower was good and bathroom was clean.

Our room was beutifully decorated. The breakfast was exceptionally good because it offered some different, unusual options. Staff were very helpful. We were given a complimentary coffee on our return from dinner out which we appreciated. The hotel is very close to the main street, A Gideons bible in the bedside drawer,

Our room was looking out onto the central well where the ducting system was located This was a bit noisy and if you wanted fresh air it made it even louder. We did manage to sleep though.

The staff were excellent. Helpful, polite and jovial.

The room was shabby, the toilet could hardly flush, the smell . I read the reviews from other people saying the same but I thought they were just being dramatic .

The staff were so so so lovely, made me feel welcome. Comfy room that was excellent value for money especially in a prime location

The style of the building is very nice, the cage lift is a fun feature, and the skylight on the top floor makes the place feel very open.

The room smelt a bit old and musty could of done with an air freshener, shower head was a bit rubbish and bathroom needs modernised as was a bit sad

Lovely central hotel. Friendly helpful staff . Poor internet connection. Great, freshly cooked breakfasts but veggie sausages would have been appreciated as would an email or text to inform the restaurant was closed the night we arrived ( we had booked a table)

Location was good, comfortable bed, clean bathroom.

Some plaster was cracked and having from the wall. A second roll of toilet paper is sometimes needed. Tv remote and lights didn’t work.

We loved the quirkyness of the hotel ....its a lovely old building with high ceilings and huge windows. Loved the decor in our room ...the bed was so comfy .was good to have a window we could open fir fresh air overnight Breakfast was lovely and tasty ....plenty choice

There was a piece of plaster hanging off the wall up high that spoiled the look of the room....... Waited a while before being acknowledged a breakfast.but that was because waitress was on her own that morning .

The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was in a good location. Easy walk into the city . Quite a few small cafes and restaurants very close by. Bathroom needs work. Shower over bath. Need handles on wall as tiles slippery & could easily slip. Such a lovely big bedroom warrants a lovely big bathroom. But the bed was big & soft. Plenty of comfy seating. We did get a very good room. Lift is fantastic - 1900s . Only had 1 breakfast - ok.

Hotel is lovely. Great location. Staff was very helpful but weren't aware of attractions. No cabs in Glasgow can be guaranteed to come to take you to Milngavie? Hard to believe!

room, the bed is what i want for my own home, breakfast sets you up for the entire day, so close to city centre, surrounded by great restaurants, pubs and music venue. Staff as always are saintly in their attentiveness.

The staff were brilliant. The bar and bistro area was modern and stylish. The original features of the building were lovely.

Room was a bit tired. Sealant round windows needs to be replaced. Bathroom very small and so hot. Part of ceiling needs repainted.

The hotel was perfectly situated for night entertainment. The staff at the hotel was exceptionally helpful. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Noisy ventilation!

Staff was very friendly, price was cheap, and location was amazing to walk around the city center.

The hotel is located beside a busy road and could hear buses, cleaning trucks and noisy young people after-hours.

The old-fashioned decor was wonderful. I loved the main atrium and stairway. The room was comfortable with a view. The staff who checked me in were helpful and polite.

The room had a smell of stale smoke,a nd the bed itself was not very comfortable to sleep on. Not a bad bed per see, but certainly not a great one. When trying to check out it was a while until reception could see me.

Great location. We asked for a high floor room and we got it. Room ready when we arrived. Nice clean room, comfy bed and pillows. Staff very helpful and cheery. Had a small bathroom but clean and well laid out. Lots of towels if needed. Tea and coffee maikng facilities in room. Good temperature, not too hot. Quirky lift we enjoyed using !

Wardrobe was quite dated and windows didn't really close properly so we had a noisy nite from the street outside!

Great location in centre of Glasgow right opposite a q-park. Friendly welcome from reception and breakfast staff.Breakfast is excellent - cooked to order rather than buffet style.

Room a bit cool when we arrived in the afternoon (as radiators were turned off). Then too warm overnight with heating on. Nightporter was very grumpy when we said good evening and asked if the bar was still open. His response was a terse ‘bar’s shut’ and response to is there a resident’s lounge was a very terse ‘bar’s shut’ - oh well.

The room had a lovely welcoming feel to it. Stunning to the eye
