The staff were excellent and the chefs are next level.

The shower is small and the carpets in the rooms could do with revamp - look a bit worn down in my opinion.

We had the most wonderful stay at 54 on Bath in Johannesburg. From the moment we arrived until check-out, the staff were truly exceptional and made us feel welcomed, comfortable, and well cared for. Our safety was always a priority for them, and although Rosebank is a safe area, we greatly appreciated their advice and helpful tips, which ensured our stay was completely smooth and worry-free. The lady at reception on our arrival in the afternoon was fantastic friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. She recommended a restaurant that we absolutely loved, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of cooked options that completely exceeded our expectations. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Another great feature was the convenient passage to the nearby mall. This was especially helpful as it was our first stay and we needed to quickly pick up a few things for our kids with very limited time. It made everything so easy and stress-free. We highly recommend 54 on Bath and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Food was good, room was clean and most staff were quite friendly. We received hand written welcome notes from management, which was a nice touch - along with a good bottle of red wine which we could enjoy with dinner in the suite.

The bed sheet was damaged - housekeeping did not pick it up, looks like it got stuck in a machine somewhere because there was a black mark with a hole. A hotel of this level should pick that up and rectify before a guest sees it. At breakfast our waiter was not very friendly and brought out the wrong option. When we pointed it out he was not apologetic at all.

The rooms were very spacious & tasteful. The breakfast was excellent. The staff, very very kind. Infact, they gave us a complimentary transport to church on Sunday which was within their 5km offer. We were very happy with everything 😁 I particularly loved the welcome personal note by the GM, signed by Ms Madeline. It really warmed my heart. The sweet treats availed every day were also well appreciated. Oooh & the sheets & the pillows on the bed, they were such a delight....It was one of my biggest delights....so white, so soft!

Excellent Property, Fantastic staff service . Williard , the manager runs an excellent front desk , and I liked the service at all times . Breakfast was sometimes a little slow with Kitchen service but the quality and food was delicious . Great location. kudos also to Godfrey who provided excellent help with luggage and transport !!! I really enjoyed my stay over the many days I was there . Always felt safe , secure and well taken care of ! The only bugbear is that lighting in the rooms is slightly dim and could be improved .

Lighting in the rooms could be 30% to 50 % brighter .

Their service was unbelievable and I cannot recommend them enough to other people. I'd highly recommend them, their service is excellent. The location is amazing with easy access to the mall and their breakfast buffet and hot options are excellent - we'd go back for the accommodation but also just for an amazing breakfast.

For a spacious room, the shower was small. The service at level four restaurant was very slow. We stayed there for two nights and on both days for breakfast and evening drinks, the service was slow. Staff were pleasant but getting food and drink to the table was slow.

We loved everything about 54 on Bath hotel. It truly feels like a five-star property in the heart of Johannesburg, if not, it’s easily a six-star experience. We stayed from Thursday, 30 October 2025, to Saturday, 1 November 2025, to celebrate my partner’s special 64th birthday. As soon as we booked and mentioned the occasion on Booking.com, the hotel replied directly to acknowledge it and assured us they would make our stay memorable, which was already very impressive. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by every staff member, and we were even upgraded to a suite. This was an incredible surprise and made our stay beyond exceptional. Management should be very proud of all staff at the 54 on Bath. Thank you so much to everyone, from the bottom of our hearts. You were all amazing and truly made our celebration unforgettable. We’ve already shared our wonderful experience with family and friends back in Sydney, and we absolutely cannot wait to return. Next time, we’ll be staying for at least two weeks. We absolutely loved 54 on Bath, and all the staff were incredibly friendly and polite. The only downside was that we didn’t get to stay long enough!

The quiet atmosphere, pretty gardens and amazing and friendly staff. I wasn't well and the staff made sure I felt ok.

No big deal but aircon in first room was noisy. They kindly moved us to another room

The staff were amazing, very helpful and always full of smiles. The hotel is conveniently close to the mall, and we really enjoyed the valet service.

The bathroom shower was very small, and it was inconvenient that the gym wasn’t in the building. Other than that, we had a good stay.

Location was excellent. We only stayed for one night so walking through the shopping mall to get to the Hop on Hop off was so very convenient. The hotel connects directly to the mall which we used during our stay.

Shower is on the smaller side, but the bathroom is still quite exquisite and spacious.

The hotel simply exceeded in expectations for it's level of comfort for both the room and the hotel facilities. It's location is great, together with the corridor from the hotel straight into the Rosebank mall. Great choice and quality of breakfast. Stunning terrace, it's views and last but not least friendliness of it's staff throughout. (The pics on Booking gave an overal different impression, at least to me).

The restaurant menu can be improved to match the hotel. We love the breakfast menu - it can be expanded a little more. We love 54 and have made it our home every time we are in Gauteng. My family booked 4 rooms. I was getting married, and so 6 more family members also booked at 54 - but apart from rose petals on the bed - not even a bottle of bubbly or something to celebrate us. I think the hotel could have done better.

The ambience of the place was extremely good. Staff 10/10 rooms excellent.

That we had to order breakfast of a menu I always like a buffet style. That I had to pay R75 just to use there parking I believe that should have been free to guests living in.

Located in the heart of Rosebank, this hotel was very central to walk to the mall and the many wonderful nearby restaurants such as Marble and Proud Mary. We thought this area was convenient and safe for our brief stay in Jo'burg, and we parked our car downstairs in the private garage. Well-appointed and comfortable rooms, with an excellent breakfast of made to order items.

The location is very central, easy access to shops, restaurants and catching Ubers. The breakfast was good and had a great selection of foods.

I found the room very dimly lit and found it quite dark. I struggled to phone reception as the buttons did not work on the phone and the notice on the desk was faded. I did't expect to pay for parking.
