Hotel Ballard Inn, Seattle

No breakfast provided only coffee service. Old fashioned hotel which I expected, bathroom across the hall. Nice that robe was provided. I appreciated the complimentary parking and pass to health club (but I didnt have time to use the latter.)

The manager when we checked in was excellent at understanding about the fact I was having a Knee replacement and the booking I made had no elevator and that I needed one and with a little increase in cost we were given a terrific room

Everything was great

Cute and inexpensive accommodations in the heart of Ballard.

Be aware that check-in is in a different building on the next block.

Location

The shower room door opposite my room did not latch leaving me vulnerable to anyone accidentally or intentionally walking in on me. The water closet/toilet next to it had the light switch outside the door making it so someone else could turn off the light while I was inside. Of the two issues, the non-latching door was by far the most egregious.

This is a sister inn of the Ballard Hotel, and I got to use the same amenities as those who stay at the hotel. The highlight is the Olympic gym access. The location is so close to many restaurants and bars

customer service this visit was lacking. Inn was empty and they still put me in the smallest single room they had. No coffee in lobby in am. Had to got to Ballard hotel a few doors down to get any assistance- there was never anyone at the front desk there.

In addition to the room being a shoebox, there was zero sound insulation from both the sidewalk outside (ground floor), the neighboring rooms and any movement in the hallway with the shared bathroom door opening and closing throughout the night. The size of the room was comical. As a solo traveler, I have no idea how two people could have stayed in this room. I could barely shuffle around my suitcase to get to the bed. I was under the impression there would be a desk in the room but there was no desk, no closet nor any other furniture other than the bed and 2 nightstands. Nowhere to hang up clothes other than hooks on the wall and two hangers with the robes on them.

This property is owned by and next door to the Ballard Hotel. This is an 'al a cart' type room. It is small, the toilets and shower are just down the hallway...but for the price it is GREAT!

I was very happy considering it was a great price

My partner and I stayed there from 8/25 - 8/29 and were quite displeased at the quality of the amenities and what I would consider deceptive online marketing. Specifically: 1. The room had no closet, wardrobe, or hangers for our clothing. 2. A radiator blocked one side of the bed making it difficult to get in or out. 3. The sheets were dirty and the comforter had no cover - it was simply placed between two sheets (see photos). 4. On day 2 I had to ask room service to refill the paper towels in the bathroom so we could dry our hands. 4. There was a considerable gap under the door which impacted our feeling of privacy (see photo). 5. On our last day we discovered ants in the bed (see photo). 6. My credit card had 3 separate holds for the entire cost of the stay placed on it. I reflected on these issues for a couple of days to determine if I was being unreasonable but now felt compelled to write this so they can be resolved for future guests.

Location was perfect between lots of restaurants and bars. We had beautiful weather during the stay and were able to enjoy the sound of the rain hitting the leaves of the trees. Walking to/from this location is easy from the bus system. The powder rooms were always spotless. The portable AC unit in the room also cooled the area effectively and allowed us to remain comfortable. I did not think it was too noisy and we had no issues with the nightlife.

Location great if you going to airport only about 25 minutes

Blinds don't close very well on street level, didn't feel very secure.

The bed and room were clean and the street had restaurants and shops.

It really is like a clean hostel. The design is such that everyone from 1st and 2nd floor walk down/past all rooms on the first floor. Room 101 is at the very front where everyone goes in and out. That is the room they tried to give my 8yr old daughter and myself. When I asked for any other room, they said that's all they had "at that price". So I had to pay an extra $100 for a room not in front. I would have been better off getting a room at the Hilton for the same price. They provide an ice bucket, but the ice machine is down the street at the hotel. So is check-in. The parking, while free, was difficult to find, as everything there is named "Ballard". It wasn't close to downtown and public transport takes about 45min. For the money I spent on Lyft and getting a room not in the main walkway, I should have stayed downtown.

Great small boutique hotel, minor ammenities but all really clean and nice and bed super comfie… we shared facilities and they were super clean and it was not awkward

You can't beat the location. You can wake up in the morning on Sundays and the Ballard market is just outside your door. There are so many great restaurants within steps. The beds are so cozy and the facility is well kept.

If you don't like the idea of a hostel style shared bathroom situation this place isn't for you.

The location was superb. The bathroom was right across the hall from our room which was convenient.

The choice/theme of the decor was not my personal style but that’s me being nit-picky. I also would have preferred a hair dryer in the room instead of the bathroom. I felt like i was taking up too much bathroom time when only one of them had a shower.

The Ballard Inn location is amazing. Close to cafes, restaurants, bars and shopping. Sunday farmers market was also a bonus!

This place is nothing much, but I'm giving it a 9 nevertheless. Why? The staff were wonderful, and the location was ideal. I had a couple of emergencies -- one with my health, the other with my rental car -- while there, and the hotel concierge was extremely kind and helpful.

The room was tiny and cramped.

The area and the employees of their sister hotel (The Ballard Hotel) were great.The manager of the Ballard Inn was not helpful and could care less that I was up for 48 hours due to the heat in the room.

The room was so hot due to no air conditioning and there was only a small window.I didn’t get any sleep for 2 days and the manager didn’t do anything about it.I would never have booked the room if I knew they didn’t have air conditioning.Completely ruined my trip in Seattle.The manager was terrible.Had no empathy at all.

shower was separated from the room but good

too soft of a bed, we sank in the mattress, I didn’t sleep well nor did my husband. I only fell asleep w help of medication to sleep.
