Cadillac Hotel, Miami

Told we could get early check in. That did not happen. Then they could not locate our booking.

No hot water… no one would answer the desk phone. We got locked out of our room. Old door lock on the balcony. Express machine did not work. No room in mini fridge.

The entrance lobby to the hotel is cute. The Room was great, the bath was small. Got upgraded to a sea-view room without requesting - gorgeous views! Was really easy to get Ubers to-and-from Smelled beautiful in the lobby!

The Pool area was 95% in shade by 4pm - which meant a few sun worshippers (we're brits) moved to the beach, now cadiallac has its own area but lemme tell you , at 4pm the beach guys were not happy any day to see guests at 4 pm which is strange - I'd happily stay by the pool until 7pm if it got any sun! the Hotel has doormen, multiple doormen - not once did they help me with my bags, and maybe 40% of the time actually opened the door and usually only help those who need valet service. They charged $900 to my card when checking in , which they said it didn't take but it absolutely did. to cover daily hotel spend - its common practice just note that maybe its like $150 per day. - if you dont spend you'll get it back - I'd just prefer to pay when leaving. The lifts are terrible, old, slow and sometimes its easier to just use the stairs. The adults pool is great, but the water is warm, sometimes bath level warm - not at all refreshing. I did think the staff were good sometimes, but being honest - only when they were either tipped or had been tipped prior... otherewise - not a particularly friendly or helpful hotel and not one which masquerades as a 4 star. It would have been a 7 if I could have sunbathed around the pool longer without constantly having to move!

1st thing is that they couldn’t acknowledge the booking reservation and embarrassed me infront of everyone by locking me out of my room

The location was excellent. The property was clean. Sea view room was beautiful. Facilities at the hotel were nice.

The Donna marre restaurant was okay. Veg options were limited. The receptionist at Donna mare was a bit rude.

Old, terrible AC that can t be regulated, bad check in and reception staff (i kept getting asked for verification), also, despite having full breakfast as per my booking (booking.com) i was facing issues everyday on breakfast with arguments and was given continental only breakfast vouchers

The “included” breakfast was pure scam, it was only 3 mini croissants and a coffee. But for the price of only 18USD per person you were able to access the buffet! It is a shame how they are able to trick the customer like that…

sorry but its old and rather poor for the money you paying they try: clean, friendly, fair service but its not a new or modern hotel and its rather sparse (like a holiday inn was my thoughts restaurant way below par cocktails at pool bar were awful as well (expensive and really crappy) pool overcrowded, not enough space for all guests, not enough loungers i honestly expected a lot more from what the pictures and writeup showed

The location is a great proximity to the beach. The staff were friendly and the property was clean.

When we got to our room the vent in the ceiling was leaking water onto the carpet. The leak was not a small drip but running out at a good pace and had gotten the carpet quite wet. I called the front desk and they sent a technician to our room forcing us to leave because he had to take the large vent out of the ceiling to reach the pipes. When we came back it was still dripping and I had to call the front desk again. They sent a different technician out forcing us to leave our room again. This process went on for several hours. This was inconvenient and not something I expected from a room that I paid over $700.00 per night.

They come daily to check the mini fridge to see if we took something but the cleaning service wasn’t done for a whole day!! I didn’t feel safe as I returned after a day out and found my room wide open for the whole day after the hotel cleaning it. I had to cancel my last day plans as I didn’t feel safe leaving my belongings. Valet wasn’t free as you might think when you pay ~2000 $. You even have to pay if you want to stay by the hotel pool:) + rusty balcony

The property was immaculate with a great beachfront location. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Our stay was doing the Christmas holiday so the hotel was beautifully decorated.

The hotel has gone really down stayed several time s previously always 2/3 rooms for 10 days plus would not consider q]a return trip. Rooms bathrooms shabby

It’s a scam . They sell you an ocean view and then allocate you a room blocked by all but an inch by a huge building directly in front . When challenged the hotel say ‘ ah yes you must book full ocean view when booking ‘. So what does ocean view generally mean in the queens English ? Absolute scam , avoid at all costs .

The hotel was very nice on the outside and inside. I loved how the elevator only allowed you to go to your floor. The pool was super nice.

The maintenance of the room

The staff were friendly and the beach was not far to walk to less then 2 minutes.

The DJ played songs that he liked even after I asked him 3 times to play a song for me. The valet parking was too much and should have been free for the guests at the hotel.

Price change upon arrival by $200. We were not informed of a recreation fee. Was not expecting that when we checked in. Now we are short in cash. Ask when booking if there is any hidden fees. Lessen learned and still upset

AC issue for 3 nights every day has to be called reception 3-4 Tim’s and technician, they didn’t help us to be more comfortable, my kids sick caused freezing

Great Hotel, upbeat atmosphere, great staff, very local to lots of restaurants. Close to airport, we took an Uber everywhere, far cheaper than car hire and insurance. Many hotels now charge for parking, unnecessary after the hefty bills in US dollars and the various 'resort' fees and other taxes.

Huge pool but water 'opaque' compared to other pools I saw, maybe related to use of sun screen lotion, difficult to avoid in Miami ! Their bicycles are in need to repair. Rooms are 'tired' and need attention.

My plan was nice as expected .I am very worried because I returned home 1st April and my refund money as deposit was not returned yet .i even have no the detail of my expenses on site .I could review on the TV and they told me check out was done.Please kindly refund me the money in condition of deposit it is a lot and send me a receip of expenses as soon as posible.Looking forward hearing from you Maria Eugenia Vazquez Check out 1st April 2024 Room 808 (8 nights stay)

Rooms are quiet and comfortable!

The lobby was overly perfumed, the common areas and hallways are freezing!! The music in the bar area is awful and loud!

Very nice pool area and beach area. Great size of room. Fast service both for drink and food. Took a nice ride with hotel bicycle after the beach.

Room service could have been better. Glass fragments from glass that broke 1st night was still over floor when we left. Should have cleaned it better. Also not enough towels . Took dirty but did not leave clean towels.

The room designs and layout were nice the outdoor terrace is a great feature.

Overall it was a nice stay and the design of the hotel is very nice. However, the size and location of the mini bar in the rooms makes it tight on entrance and the patio doors are VERY hard to open and should be adjusted. The AC in the room was not great as it left the room very damp and somewhat clamy. No one told us prior to booking that the pool area was under construction and the early morning construction noises were not great, nor the view of all the construction from our room.

This is my favourite hotel in Miami. The atmosphere is very chilled, relaxed and trendy. The rooms are very modern, the beds are the best ever. Bathrooms are lovely. The hotel has everything one needs; nice pool area, great beach and options to eat and drink at the bar och restaurants. The staff at the entrance were constantly very friendly and helpful. Same goes for the staff at the restaurant, bar and most staff at the front office.

When checking out we were met by an unfriendly and impatient person who was not going to show the bill at first just asked of the full amount of money. Then when we noticed mistakes in the bill he got impatient and next to rude. Such a shame and pity as all other staff were lovely and so helpful and it was a wonderful stay apart from the last encounter.

arrives at 4pm and my room wasnt ready had to wait till almost 6pm and was given a different room.it was a bad start and never saw at any hotel ive stayed at the beach.i thought the outside bar and food closes too early previously been there much later
