Amazing value, style and atmosphere - close to lots of restaurants and vibrant Shanghai life.
Really lovely boutique hotel and so close to everything. Staff incredibly helpful. Loved every part of the stay. Highly recommend if you don’t like a corporate, bland chain hotel.

One of The Best Hotels I've Been To
Kevin's Old Place is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The room is very spacious with a warm atmosphere. The location is great - just a few minutes walk from the big park and famous shrine, and the shopping centers.
The hotel restaurant, Bella Napoli, which is owned by this Italian guy living in Shanghai, is one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever eaten at (I am Italian on my grandmother's side).
The staff is very helpful - with getting a Taxi and all of my other needs.
I couldn't be happier about my choice of staying here.

Nice short stay in old Shanghai neigborhood
Located in old cozy neighborhood. You can feel old Shanghai a little bit. Owner was very friendly and helpful, speaks good English. Got very big room and healthy breakfast.
It's not that I didn't like, but Italian restaurant downstairs is busy with people on weekend and it can be a bit noisy. Building is old - it's charming for some of us, but some can find things worn out.

The location is superb , right in the middle of Jingan district, lots of good restaurants within walking distance. The room is spacious, and the staff helpful and friendly. Special mention is Xiao Su, always ready to help. Overall, a very good experience.

The best hotel in that area
We like pretty much everything! Hotel’s facilities from Shanghai 1920’s it is very unique experience in China. Room was specious, clean and comfortable. Free Wi-Fi, DVD with big choice of movies. Breakfast was served individually for us every day with fresh brewed coffee, prosciutto, salmon, fresh bakeries, eggs and salad. Inside the room we had water dispenser, toiletries, towels, huge bed and closet. A lots of drawers and washing machine, as a bonus if you have long term stay. Room was super quiet, as the hotel hidden from the outside noise. However it is only 5-15 minutes walking distance from western bars and restaurants. Downstairs authentic Italian restaurant, people from all over Shanghai booking tables to eat there. Overall it was excellent experience stay, staff was super helpful with 5-star hotel hospitality attitude! I will highly recommend this hotel, and will come back by myself when will visit Shanghai next time.
